In Wangan Midnight, the engine is a 3.1l bored out L28.

I've got the standard 240Z Fairlady kit and having an engine is rather superfluous since Fujimi moulded the bonnet shut and the header pipes almost touch the floor. I decided to convert mine to the rally car

and also a tip when shooting the video and needed lights use a led flashlights to see the dark pieces. just a thought.

Thanks Christian I had already thought of that but it would give the same effect if not make it worse. I'm tempted to lay a coat of primer on the parts to make them show up easier. None of the details will be lost and would help a lot I think

Hi I own a 240z and recently picked this particular model up at shop near me. Is there anyway you can upload a video where you workout the front airdam/bumper?? Thanks any help is appreciated!

+Mason Barrios Sure no problem. I can't make any promises as to when it will be but I'll probably use a mix of putty and styrene to create the shape. Trying to fit the included part of the bumper on and making a realistic looking kit is going to be hard I think

I think you'll find that it is an L28 bored up to 3.2 litres from 2.8

Rodolfo Ascencio You will need to fit the front bumper over the original bumper, but when I get around to doing this kit I'll do a video on it :)

Rodolfo Ascencio i cut with normal knife cut over and over until u get thru the backside. cut slowly and beware of thumb cutting. other way is using thread. make a hole and slide in thread. pull one end and other end and slide the thread according to the seamline. make it slowly and its really a time consuming. for this kit u get to cut the origninal front grille also.

quick questions. when using the decal stickers do you have to cut them out? because i can't for the life of me figure out how to make them come out good looking? lemme know please thanks

Hey Christian, if you cut the decals out with nail scissors or a hobby knife on a model mat/cutting mat then use a pair of gripper tweezers to hold the part in luke warm water for around 10-15 seconds, you can then slide the decal onto the clean surface. I can do a how-to video if you like ?

What did you use to strip the paint on the Z-Tune? Edit: I got some Tamiya Primer and it's shit. I might as well just burn the kit

I tripped it with 99.9% alcohol and oven cleaner. I've heard Tamiya Primer is one of the best, what problems are you having with it ?

Maybe you were spraying it too close? Take a look on here at rattle can spraying techniques. I use Mr Muscle overn cleaner the foam version

ELP Modelling I was just sanding it down and it snapped in half so ill just bin it and get a new kit. I tried Mr muscle and it just polished it

im doing this kit right now..to me its shud get 7/10..the engine given is not the correct engine used in wangan and the fender and front bumper really need a lot work to be match.

faizul fadzullah Nothing that can't be solved with some hobby design turbos and some fun scratch building. Yeah the front bumper is stupid. I'm tempted to make my own if I don't get on with the kit part
