The Congregation of the Fathers of Mercy, which was founded in 1808, originally under the title of “The Missionaries of France.” The community was founded for the purpose of re-evangelizing the people of France after the Catholic Faith had been subjected to years of attacks and persecution during the French Revolution. It is now exclusively an American community. The Generalate of the Congregation is located in Auburn, Kentucky. The primary apostolate of the Fathers of Mercy is to conduct parish missions and retreats throughout the United States and other countries when called upon. The Congregation also staffs rural parishes in the Archdiocese of Louisville, Kentucky.

I believe The Father’s of Mercy are anointed and protected! You are all such great preachers. Our fallen world really need your voices. You priests, bishops, etc. are doing a great job of not comparing yourselves to one another and sticking to the mission you all signed on for. Great teaching … I too am guilty of wanting to control and Help. But the lesson I’me learning now is to give Jesus the space and time to get to His children. I love unconditionally so I think I’m responsible… I’ve now learnt to step back and let God also have His way with them. I’ll help from the side and God from the centre 🙏🏼

Because our fallen nature is not directed to these truths (i.e. relying only on Jesus, humility, and fighting sin), we need to be reminded of this message often. Beautifully done, Father Andy!
