V8 Engines is for the Race Winners, !!! V10 for the Pocket Winners, and V12 for the Exchaust Winners. I Absolutelly prefer V8 Engines...especially from USA.
I prefer the V8 C5R but for some reason the tv cameras acted like they didnt participate. Curious why. Also why was a non GT1 Corvette (that C6) allowed to participate?
I Like the Corvette's. I grew up watching these cars racing....Also, i was subcribed to Vette Magazine for years, and Collecting Posters, hats, badges, clothes. Nice years with C5 and especially C6 series.
GT1 are by far my favourite cars, I grew up watching this beasts racing at Le mans and FIA GT on TV. I assisted to the FIA GT1 race in Navarra back in 2011 wich was also my first race at my local track. Moreover, I still have some posters of the cars signed by the drivers and of course photos and videos of the weekend. My favourite GT1 car is the Lamborghini Murciélago GT1. 😍
The reason why most people enjoy GT1 is because of exotic cars like Marcos, Saleen, Porsche GT1, Maserati mc12, Stealth B6. That's the main reason why we miss GT1.
The drivers are nostalgic too. I suspect they would guide those machines all night long if permitted. What sound and sight that would be. Anche i piloti sono nostalgici. Sospetto che guiderebbero quelle macchine per tutta la notte se consentito. Che suono e vista sarebbe.

Not a single shot of the Corvette C5Rs yet you showed the NON GT1 Corvette C6 that was somehow included with this lot, about 8 times. Disappointing from a Corvette perspective
These Vipers, Storms, 575, Prodrive 550 and DBR9 cars etc are FIA GT2 cars. The "GT1s" were the Merc CLK GTRs, the McLaren F1s, and Porsche GT1s, etc from the mid to late 90s. The Vipers, Storms were in the slower GT2 class. Later on, after the retirement of GT1, the GT2 became the fastest class and was renamed to "GT" with new GT3 class being called the "NGT". Then in 2005, they were again renamed to GT1 and GT2 respectively. These are FIA GT races. In the post 2010s, it was effectively replaced by the SRO GT3 and GT4 series. The modern SRO GT3 class is about two seconds per lap slower than the older FIA GT2 class and more pretty much akin the old FIA G2 or Group 2 class, i,e: those Spa E92 BMW M3 GTRs etc. They have less horsepower and are a fair bit heavier than the old 2000's GT2, but make up for it with BoP and more downforce. These old GT1 and GT2s (and GT3-NGT) are definitely some of the best race cars ever. Nothing surpasses them in my eyes. Thanks for memories.
If ever there's a class that needs full and proper representation in sim racing - this is it. Not to detract from their magnificence of them in real life, but to keep the memory alive for those that can't get to see them other than on YT.
There’s the old GTR series of games, Race 07 and an exceptional mod for Assetto Corsa by Race sim studio that features the majority of the cars in this video. GTR2 is an old game now, but it still stands up today as one of the absolute best sim racing games of all time
Man what on earth are you talking about "keep their memory alive". GT1 cars still exist and are still racing in numerous competitions around the world. I think you're talking about FIA GT1 or SRO. FIA and SRO don't race actual hypercars anymore because of their big engines. It's a climate change thing.
This is why you will never see them in games like ACC for example. But you can see some of them in the first Assetto Corsa game and it's still a great game.
Don,t you just love the Marcos LM600;such a shame that Marcos are no more.The Vipers not too shabby either.Actually they,re all great but the aforementioned get my vote on appearance!
If they returned to the roots of racing using cars we can actually relate to and possibly own one day. LeMans would be so much better. All these cars are so iconic and memorable. Stuff today is not.

Was there any V16 Bugatti's competing in these races in the 2000's. Was the Bugatti V16 allowed to race in GT1 with an 488ci 8.0 Liter 16 cylinder Engine. Because I saw a Dodge Viper and Back then, they started also with a 8.0 liter 488ci V10 engine in 1995 then a 8.3 liter 506ci engine in 2005 And finally a 8.4 liter 512ci engine in 2010 for the 2000's decade. Dodge Vipers were all V10's in the 2000's. Was Bugatti at the time not ready yet established to race in any racing circuit. Was it to early at the time for them.
