I like the conversational nature of the script too, doesn't sound like some over-written wannabe documentary, but like a buddy telling you about the teams while sitting on the couch.
I love how for Pittsburgh’s floor he talks about how everything could go wrong on each side of the ball but he still won’t put them below .500 just because of Tomlin 😂
he's ranked #3 in top 32 head coaches, so even though the offense and/or defense may not be elite or playoff material on their own, if you have a good head coach, you can turn trash into treasure.
I look forward to this video every year. I’m never big on preseason/training camp hype but recaps from the previous seasons, combined with outlooks on the coming season is perfect content.

4:35:27 Correction, Brandon McManus from Denver is Jags kicker now, Riley is back in Detroit. Love the projection, got us losing Baltimore and 49ers but beating Steelers and Titans for the same 12-5 record!! DUUUUVAAAAAL
Hope McManus does well for the Yaguars. I liked him in Denver, but apparently he wasn't doing very well, so I dunno. I thought he was pretty good, so yeah I hope he does well with the Jags.
Bet. No reason we shouldn't win 11 games this season (that's what playing both South divisions does for ya). If we break the ceiling, we KNOW we're ready to take the next leap.
10-7 for Hawks ceiling sounds low. You think at their CEILING they only win 10 games this season? Sounds like their expected/average outcome from my point of view. IF Geno plays well, and the O-line and Defense take a step forward I see no reason their ceiling wouldn't be in the realm of around 12-5 seeing how they finsihed 9-8 last year.
not a fan but i’d take all this with a grain of salt, this is the first year where every team looks drastically different than 2-3 years ago. i think there’s gonna be a couple of teams with only 1-2 losses and some really horrible teams. can’t say who, but i just feel the season will happen like that
They literally said despite losing literal no one outside of Cole Holcomb and gaining Cody Barton getting a way more modernized OC in Beinemy and qb play literally can’t be worse than it was last year. The commanders ceiling is still being worse than last year.
I know right? They're talking about how if Howell lights it up with 30 TDs then their ceiling is 8 wins? They had 8 wins last year with bottom tier QB play. It makes no sense
@@wowlecks yeah last year there were only 3 qbs that had more than 30 Passing TDs that was Mahomes, Burrow, and Allen. So if he’s in that conversation then we are without a doubt a playoff team.
QB play can't be worse than last year??? Heinicke and Wentz both had QBR's higher than 80. You have a 5th rounder coming in to lead your offense this year after seeing the field once last year. It can absolutely be much worse. Not to mention you have 2 rookie CB's. Also, the NFC East has a tougher schedule this year so your floor and ceiling seemed pretty accurate to me
@@Talkin_Loud Heinicke and Wentz had QBRs of 44 and 33, good for 25th and 32nd in the league. Even if Howell is bad, (he will probably be better than people think) they have Jacoby Brissett, who had a QBR of 60, which was 8th in the NFL. The OC and OL look to be upgraded as well.

Seattle's about to remind you never to sleep on Pete and John's drafting. You'll see schemes from them which will define a new direction of modern football.
Nice 'San Francisco' reference around 0:00-0:09. I recently watched 'Forrest Gump' & completely forgot that this song was even in the movie. Great times...
@@charlesowens7174yeah but the Commanders won 8 games last year with awful QB play, how is their ceiling only 8 if the QB (among other things) is much better?
our ceiling is 8-9 but if the ball never got tipped we could have been 8-9 if tom brady and the refs never called that horrible flag on Jarrett we would have been 9-8 if Mariota never fumbled we would have been 10-7 if Drake London never fumbled we would have been 11-6 if Graham never fumbled we would have been 12-5 if Bryan Edwards caught it over Ramsey we would have been 13-4 if that PI got called against the steelers in the late game against London we would have been 14-3 if Allgeier didnt trip on Ridders leg we would have been 15-2. Out of 10 games we lost all 8 were 1 score away from us winning.
Seattles back 7 is loaded. They might not be any superstars (except for Prez when he's healthy) but they are really good players. Julian Love with Diggs and Prez is a nightmare. Spoon and Woolen on the outside with Colby Bryant playing slot potentially. Bobby with Jordyn Brooks coming back in the later part of the season, it will be interesting to see how that goes. Boye Mafe and Darrell Taylor with the pass rushers. Defense is really good and so is the offense. Keep underestimating them. Go Hawks!
@@fortly5203 5-11 makes sense only if this defensive makeover flops AND geno significantly regresses AND oline does not improve. i'd give it like a 2% chance of happening, cuz i think the defense is gonna be miles better and geno might regress a tiny bit, but not significantly. it's absolute worst case, which probably won't happen; same with the absolute best case of 12-5 or 13-4, which assumes that everything improves, jamal comes back and kills, it, etc.
NFC South is literally wide open. Falcons finally decided to address their defense after all these years. Over $100 million spent to fix it. Ceiling is 10-7 with the NFC South title. If Ridder doesn’t work out, thank god we got local Georgia boy Taylor Heinicke as backup. Loved seeing what he could do with the Commanders.
Joe woods lost us three games alone. as long as DeShawn plays fine I see us getting ten wins in a spot in the playoffs. If DeShawn is like 2020 form we could go 12-4 and be fighting for the lead of the AFC
@LiamDeege-ip8fp burrow is 1-5 vs the browns. The ravens are so injury prone that its a question mark every year. And kenny picket is not good enough rn to beat what could be a top 5 defense
So you’re telling me that if Desmond Ridder shocks everyone by being a good qb, Kyle Pitts becomes the best TE in the NFL (completely healthy) And the Falcons defense jumps up to top 15, our ceiling is an 8-9 losing record? That’s our CEILING, Y’all.
fr our ceiling is 8-9 but if the ball never got tipped we could have been 8-9 if tom brady and the refs never called that horrible flag on Jarrett we would have been 9-8 if Mariota never fumbled we would have been 10-7 if Drake London never fumbled we would have been 11-6 if Graham never fumbled we would have been 12-5 if Bryan Edwards caught it over Ramsey we would have been 13-4 if that PI got called against the steelers in the late game against London we would have been 14-3 if Allgeier didnt trip on Ridders leg we would have been 15-2. @@featuregaming7777 fr same for the titans. 7-10 if we didn't hold againist the giants 8-9. If we had offensive againist the chiefs, 9-8 , if roger mccreay didn't let mike williams moss him, 10-7. If Kevin Strong didn't get a pentaly on that field goal 11-6. If we had ryan tannelhill playing every game, 14-3, and if the titans didnt suck, we would be 17-0.
Having the Chiefs losing to the Broncos is absurd. The Chargers loss makes a little more sense, but I still think its a stretch. The Broncos and Chargers keep getting hyped up every season, and then analysts get proven wrong again and again.
As a Chicago Bears fan, let's focus on winning more than 3 games in the 2023-2024 NFL season, first. If they can at least manage to do that much, I'll be happy...
@@griffinhegwer2497 Niners offense relies on CMC who is very injury-prone. They also lost they’re def coordinator and their QB situation is shaky at best. Seahawks got like 6 new defensive starters plus Jamal Adams returning from injury. Their offense got much better in the draft, while the Niners had a mid-at-best draft. Plus Seattle has been consistently good over the last ten years (with the exception of 2021) and the Niners have been quite inconsistent.
There is no way the browns CEILING is 9-8…😂😂😂🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ If Deshaun is HIM and Chubb is elite and the defense improves and the DLine is elite (all of which could easily happen) the Browns ceiling is more like 13-4
Agree 100%. Joe woods lost us at least 3 but maybe 5 games last year and the defense is generally better. The best running back, strong WR’s and great oline and a QB with potential to be top 5 in the league isn’t a 9-8 ceiling team
Their crazy if they think the browns ceiling is 9-8, their ceiling is Deshaun returning to his past self and if that happens then they’re winning at least 11 games
@@imCarlin10Im confused as well. They're projecting us to do worse than last season despite upgrading almost every position... And we have an easier schedule..
Absolutely love the throwback music on the Vikings part! I really believe the Vikes can be a contender with their much improved defense and even better offense. Kirk is going to wake people up even more baby!
Improved defense? You guys lost your best CB AND Zadarius smith. You got worse than last year and are the biggest frauds in the league. No division leader should lose 40-3. No way you guys are contenders for even the playoffs.
@@chad2522 First of all, we got better at corner with the addition of Byron Murphy and our defense will be better with Flores as the DC(our defense was so bad because of the previous D coordinator). I’m extremely confident we will win the division(Lions will be really good as well tho and could take the division)and make the playoffs.
I'm confounded by the Seahawks win-loss record. 7-10?? Despite their 'fluke' season of 9-8 last year with one of the worst defenses on paper? They filled every position they needed in the offseason, and improved the defensive line and the linebacker corp. They added depth to the backfield rotation, and they picked up a steal at pick 20 with Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Maybe the youth and inexperience on their squad will hold them back, but the way their defense is starting to round out this year, I'm getting similar vibes to their 2011-12 lineup - fierce, hard-hitting, sideline-to-sideline, punishing football. And everyone is getting down on Geno like he's still the 22 year old dud in Jersey. He's grown up a lot since those days, and that maturity is why they offered him the 3 year contract. This team is restoring the balance they lost on offense, and they've improved every position on the defense. In what way can this team be considered less than a 10 win team this season? I'm not saying it's impossible, but probable?
Texans: Floor: 3-14 Expected: 6-11 Ceiling: 10-7 Ill be damned if the Texans max ceiling is 7 wins. They have a ton of new pieces yes, but Davis Mills's poor play really hid how talented parts of this team was. I expect a top 10 offensive line, and a top 10 running game. Along with a top 5 pass defense. The biggest question marks are the passing game, and the front 7, but by all accounts, both groups have excelled in training camp. Texans may have the highest gap in floor to ceiling this year.
The fact is, the defense has to step up , then I see our Seahawks way up there, with the new offensive weapons the offense is almost impossible to hold! Lets go Hawks , let Geno cook again hes our Guy !!!!!
Dylan Cole is not on the Titans' roster. I think he is in Chicago. Monty Rice and Jack Gibbons (who played last year) are the other interior linebackers.
Based of there expectations that shouldn't be hard but I do think the biggest improvement will be in 2024 due to new staff and time to grow as a group under said staff
Carolina's floor at 4-13 is hilarious, someone obviously hasn't paid any attention to our offseason. Also, it's DERRICK Brown not DEREK Brown. Another reason I can't take this seriously
@@Beardownsports Yeah you definitely have them at 4-13 not because your a Bears fan and hope that you will get a Top 5 pick with our pick next draft. Give me a break dude. The Bears had the number one overall pick last year for a reason and they aren't gonna be much better this year. I got the Bears going 4-13, 5-12 at the best. Fields is a joke of a passer and will go down as just another shitty Bears QB. Maybe the Bears will finally draft a QB with their own Top 5 pick next year and finally have a QB better than Jay Cutler and Rex Grossman🤣
They didn't say nearly enough about that elite coaching staff for the Panthers. Night and day difference which will add wins on its own bet on it. My predictions is easily 8 wins maybe 9 or 10 if they get lucky. Playoffs aren't out of the question making it a fantastic start to this new Panthers organization
Also didn't say how the panthers went 4-2 in the division last year. They already tied for the best division record and that was without Bryce Young and without the new killer coaching staff. Sure, losing DJ Moore hurts but he only put up 888 yards and 7 TDs. Thielen was only 10 yards per game less than that. Chark was only 2 yards per game less than that. My guess is that the panthers start slow because they have a brutal schedule to begin the year. After the first 6 games, I'm guessing a record of 2-4. Then finishing the rest of the season 8-3.
I can't even get my hopes up anymore, being a Panthers fan my whole entire life, us never winning the big one - i can't take much more dispair and dissapointment. But I am hopeful this season will just be even decent.
@@prospect689 As a fellow Panthers fan I agree. It says allot to finally have a good foundation to build on. I'm not EXPECTING a superbowl run this or next season. This is a "show me" season for allot of reasons and what I'm most excited about honestly is for the NFL to finally take the Panthers seriously. They have never had that even when they went 15-1 with Cam
@@matriculatethefootball DJ Chark was getting passed to by Jared Goff and Thielen was getting passed to by Kirk Cousins... DJ Moore was getting passed to by PJ Walker and Baker Mayfield... The Saints and Falcons are better this year the panthers aren't seeing a record over .500
@@nolan9765 If Young transitions well he can be just as good or even better than either of those quarterbacks. also i believe if everyone can stay healthy, that the Panthers has a top 10 or even top 5 defense. All those new pieces and more development from the young guys? that unit (led by Evero, btw) is extremely underrated. add in an easier schedule to end the year and personally i have the panthers floor at 6-11 and their ceiling at 10-7
Feel like the browns are the most unpredictable team this year. I agree they could suck and be 4-13 but no chance 9 is the max. If Deshaun returns to 2020 form and the defence tightens up. they can easily go over 10-11 winsn
People act like the team other then Watson didn’t get better too but if he plays even just good and the defense isn’t poop the browns will win 9. If he is back to his 2020 form no telling how far they could go
The hawks going 5-12 for a floor? How do we have the same prediction as the rams? This has to be a joke. How would we regress from last season that was supposed to be a rebuild when we had one of the best if not the best offseason in the league. But nah its good we only do better when we are underdogs
I’m rooting for the Lions to do well this year, as a Giants fan. But let me warn you, being the preseason anointed Super Bowl champs is almost always a one-way trip to an early playoff exit. Did you see the Bills last year?

4-13 floor and 8-9 ceiling is crazy for Washington. 7-10 floor and 10-7 ceiling would make more sense. We always win 4-5 more games then people predict us to, so by that standard, we should be a playoff team.

as a panther's fan, i think bryce young will struggle year one. he's shown the attributes that made him the number one pick in training camp (extreme accuracy, incredible football IQ) but he has panicked under pressure (probably because he can't see across the field) and has had sup-par decision making, both incredibly bad signs. Baker Mayfield had a similar path in training camp. we'll see how does with preseason, however their ceiling is NOT 8-9 they were Jaycee Horn being healthy to cover Mike Evans week 17 so CJ henderson didn't get burned 7 times from hitting that last year with a QB upgrade and a slight step up should be expected from the defense edit: carolina has a floor of getting the top pick i dont see how that's even remotely deniable but at the same time i think the NFL needs to be on watch for the panthers to get a surprise division titan if the saints and falcons drop the ball. my honest prediction is another 7-10 season for carolina, but they could get as many as 10 wins, and could get 3 wins in the same realm of possibility
I wish the Panthers the best of luck and I think if Bryce Young plays like he should and the team as a whole proves us they can win games, they could be a wildcard at least.
I think you guys have chance of winning the division you guys had great offseason and had a good draft I hope bryce young is going to be a star one day
Let me fix that for you, Bengals vs the chiefs or Bills. Also don’t count out the ravens or Jets (and no I am not a fan of a single one of these teams)
Yeah I guess having arguably the best offseason, having a fully healthy Jamal adams, having the best split backfield in the league, having the most accurate deep ball qb in the league, and having the best 3 wide receiver set in the league only gets you one more win 🤷🏻♂️
