There is so much fuel, air and heat that for most of the take off, you can't even tell what it is. Amazing.

Great footage! Interesting how you don’t hear the crackle from the supersonic exhaust gasses produced by the afterburners when you stand behind them…proves my thought that you can hear it the best from the side of the jet. Nighttime afterburners look epic too!
