As patients that have looked into the All-On-4 procedure know, there are several different types of materials that can be used to create these teeth. Starting with the weakest material which is an acrylic similar to a denture, while it can look okay aesthetically, it's quite a bit weaker than other materials. While other centers will use this sometimes even as their permanent teeth, we don't like to use that because of the high fracture rate. Other materials that have come about as technology has improved, nano-ceramics, these materials are stronger than acrylic. It still looks nice, but still not the strongest material than can be offered. We've seen that zirconia tends to have the best long-term wear and fracture rate, meaning it is the least common to have a fracture occur. That is what we want to give our patients. We want to give our patients something that will last for their life that they don't have to worry about what they're biting down on, and with the strength that they provide, they actually protect the implants underneath. That's what we offer our patients here at Reva. It is really nice knowing that they are getting the best quality teeth. The best quality product that they can receive. The patients that have come to us from other centers that have these acrylic teeth are scared to chew on anything more than oatmeal. Giving them teeth that are as strong as these zirconia teeth give the patients confidence to go home and function like they once could with their natural teeth.
