Full Auto Video Review 

Man, I had the demo for this game in my 360 since the day it was revealed. I was never able to buy a copy until 3 years ago, and I do no regret the purchase whatsoever. It’s fantastic, it’s Karmic, and underrated. Now to try the sequel, which (weirdly enough) was a PS3/PSP exclusive.

I used to LOVE this game. I actually broke my dad's record player because I would play music on it and then slow down and reverse it, because it sounded like the rewind in this game. To this day, he doesn't know that it was me that broke it.... Oops. I was 15 at the time. And it only took one session of me doing that for it to break.

A fantastic game often overlooked, it was a Xbox 360 system seller, one of the very first games available for the then new 360. I saw the trailers on TV for it as well as a demo of it playing at my local Gamestop & was obsessed with getting the new MS 7th gen console!

Now this is a surprise review! Full Auto was awesome for me, and it feels like the offspring of Twisted Metal + Burnout.

Been a long time since I've heard about this game. I saw trailers, read magazine articles, and even played the demo of it. Shame this wasn't backwards compatible with Xbox One, because I would've loved to relive old memories.

This game is pepperd with awesome moments 😉. Great review as always man, this was one of my first 360 games back in the day. Thank you for reigniting those memories. 😁

A sheer classic. Whenever I fix my damn disc problem on my Xbox I always just gravitate towards Full Auto Closest to Twisted Metal for Xbox….but not close enough

I really enjoyed this game back in the day on the 360. It came out in 2006 as you said and I got it when it came out and LOVED playing this on Xbox Live after release. Mind you I'm an old fart so playing this in 2006 at 30 years old already playing against 12 year olds on Xbox Live was, wild lol I never understood why people didn't like this game back then. I'm glad more people are discovering the game now, but it would have been nice if it was accepted back then - maybe we would have gotten a sequel even.

While I'm not sure I'd recommend it, there is another game that's similar to Full Auto, it's called 187: Ride or Die.

I remember my dad picking this up back in the day but never kept it for long for some unknown reason. Shame really because as someone who doesn't really like racing games, this is one of the few I like a ton.

I always wanted to try this one. I remember the reviews said it ran poorly but I think it still looks cool. There was a sequel.

I liked the game a lot when it came out, but the frame rate did sour it a bit.

So "Full Auto" was released on the Xbox 360 only, but the Sequel suddenly was released on the PS3 only? What sense does that make?

Never heard of this game until this review. Part Burnout, Part Twisted Metal and Part Prince of Persia. Looks & sounds aweome.

If i didn't know any better I'd think this was a Burnout spinoff.

This game playable on Xbox One and Series X/S?

I adore this game. Its far from perfect but it doesnt seem to age, with that I mean its exactly as fun as I remember it to be all these years later. I just finished the game for the second time and its always a fun time. I never got a change to try the second one since I dont own a ps3 but apparently that one is just more and better which is awesome. For this one here would be my oatch notes: -boosting can always be used and canceled. - more lineant drifting for the game to count it towards filling the boost meter. - burnout copy paste: driving in oncoming traffic and driving close to a car gives boost. - tuning for kill cam and death cam; kill cam makes the game drop to a halt in terms of fps, death cam respawn time is higher then when turned off. - notification when breaking personal time lap and noted on every race in the select screen - the career mode's modes should be raffled so a new player gets more variety, now its just one mode after the other. With a stat screen that shows progression on each mode with the ability for the player to go to each last unlocked mission in that mode if he she so desires (so it just the reverse of how its currently handled). -wouldnt know how to fix this but machinegun rank 3 is so much more reliable and versatile then any other front weapon and will get you through most of the races together with mines rank 1 (you just need the knockback anyway and the high cooldown rate is perfectly manageable).

If you drove trucks would it be called Semi Auto ?

i have full auto 2 instead, playing that makes the 1st one somewhat redundant with all of the adjustments made, especially free select weapons

Thanks for the great review! I still only have a PS3 and an XBox 360 (lol... but that's Fine with me). I realised I bought this about a year ago (€8) and Forgot to Play it!!! I'm looking forward to it! :)

I enjoyed Full Auto 2 more than the first, combat racing is sadly a lost genre.

You know this game doesn't have a battle arena.

This coming from the same guy who recommended Wolfenstein Youngblood, Kane and Lynch 2, and Mafia 3 despite their overall negative reception by both fans and critics.

coz back then every average game was better than the mediocre algorithm generated trash that is modern gaming.
