I am happy to say we are continuing to work on the game, mostly to fix the bad bugs like the warthog crashing the game, the main menu crashing, etc. Also a couple months ago I dumped all the assets for this game and also backyard heroes, there are some things in there that aren't in the game (like a early version of the Vtol in Halo Haggar's files, an unused engineer player type, and more), and in the games files there's an AI for brutes, drones, and banshees, lots of stuff planned and worked on a tad bit. One of the achievements in Backyard Heroes left over from Halo Megablok's also mentions some sort of thing related to scanning a character in the game, 0 clue how it would work but I'm guessing something like Disney infinity, and there's a lot more stuff like that in the files and other places and thank you for making this video, this game has been something I always wanted to play and I got overly dedicated to it, turns out the fix was stupid easy and Itchy found it in 3 hours lol
Halo Mega Bloks was a big part of my childhood and supplemented the games so well for us younger fans. Their figures blew me away with their articulation and durability for something so small. This game would have been amazing for growing the fanbase with children who would have probably loved to play the real games later on.
@isostrike1667 I think it depended on the series because I had some that lasted nearly 10 years with me messing with them at least once a week, while others fell apart/snapped with light use.

343i should pick this game back up, finish it, and release it as a free-to-play game for the Xbox )maybe even pre-load it into the console... That way any kid getting an Xbox, for Christmas or otherwise, will be able to experience the halo universe for free, straight away, the instant they power up their new console... Similar to how sega used to ship with Alex the kid, or sonic the hedgehog, back in the day

Yeah every single piece of Halo news is always underwhelming. Even when a game (halo infinite) actually comes out, it still manages to be an underwhelming wet fart
He's a hero who's done more for Halo than anyone else at 343 ever did. It bums me out that 343 won't use their imagination to expand Halo like this, as much as I love the Chief, Halo has expanded its lore so much you don't have to focus only or mainly on him, I hope to God that 343 or other studios can expand Halo more to make masterpieces like this

Man this not being a thing makes me so upset, as someone who grew up on Legos and Megabloks the fact that Megabloks and Halo out of all of them could've had a very solid game to compete with the Lego games but it never came to fruition is so saddening
i hope microsoft + 343 dont pull the "hey thats our property" card over something they dont even care about till now. but that aside. they should allow alternative game styles like this! gives them room to experiment game types from mmo's, rpg's platformers, horrors, rts, heck even lego/megablocks is fine! they should allow the spin offs to tell the side stories, - keep main story in the halo style we know and love. showcase the characters we've not met offically in games and give us their stories in a new playable way, =o then when a character is introduced, its offical design can be respected that much more!!! if you agree like this comment!!! hopefully they'll see it!!! from a halo fan, since 2001!
I've been following everything about this game for years. I'm so excited to hear that it's been fully leaked at long last. This game should not have been cancelled, we got two Spartan Assault games and THIS was cancelled. I get that you would prefer a more mature game but why not ask for both? Are we really asking too much? Why can't they open the IP for development to more studios? Can we not demand better as consumers?
I think this would be a good idea. So take a spartan 3 and take a spartan 4s armor, and you got a new badass Spartan like Chief and 6. Gotcha, I say this since there aren't many Spartan 2s left, and if they wanted to make a new none number title like ODST and Reach, you could do something like that. And it could be another "You are the hero story." They could take a page out of Halo Wars 2 with the CryoSleep and waking up during Infinite. And it could be a Team of Spartans (2-4 players online) all Hyper lethal and they were on ice and forgotten by people who are dead now. And we're found by Laskey, and your job is to find marine survivors and get them to the new infinity called "The Road to Infinity."
I’m glad the leadership at 343 got let go. Just bad decisions after bad decisions by them. There is no focused story or villain from 4-6 and that tv show disrespected the source material way worse than anything Star Wars or DC ever did. This is another example. Not surprising it got cancelled because it called back to what Bungie did. Not 343.

From a business perspective, this game would generate a lot of interest of the younger audiences and give a huge help to 343's stakeholders (Mega Bloks). It could have been a super accessible and mutualy beneficial for 343 and mega bloks (343 keeps dropping the ball)
Since it was a mobile game from time ago I could’ve guessed that there were gonna be QR codes on the mega blocks collections so you can play as those characters
This reminds me more of the old Lego Island games rather than the Lego Star Wars games or Lego DC/Marvel games. If this ever got a completed build/full release I'd honestly buy it.
Its funny The drastic tone shift while being honest about it is more palletable than the relatively subtle tone shift of newer halo mainline games while pretending its all the same and just fine I find it interesting, but i do agree Thisnlooks better than halo 4/5/6
i would love for this to be a spin off game but still have the main games and other spin offs to be for different ages like flood horror odst or that space fighter game amd others

Woah...Metroidvania Halo game? Pretty awesome. Also funny how it comes full circle after the enforced backtracking of Halo CE due in large part to their hardware restrictions. Probably why they were good at making a game in that style..
I remember seeing something about this a couple years ago. A blend of halo and Lego to a degree would be amazing, and give plenty of room for more siliness than seriousness
It would be really cool if you could spend your "blocks" on weapons, equipment, vehicles, and buildables (like the walls and turrets seen in this build) whenever and wherever you want.
Honestly this is just upsetting , I wish they would push halo games way more , like this woulda been such a fun game , even some other games like a helldivers game or another halo wars woulda been great , they really should up the amount of types of halo games , I still wanna play fireteam raven one day
Me personally I just think it's cool to see basically a third-person Halo game. I'm a big advocate of Halo having some kind of third-person mode aside from holding a big gun.

I agree if they only green light one spin off it should be something guaranteed to do good. But at the same time making this could have given the money and incentive to make more spin offs.
It’s fun seeing these pre-alpha builds of halo! I just recently watched the pre-alpha builds of halo 5 guardians, and it was going to have a health system like halo combat evolved, and halo 2 flashbacks, this would have been the coolest thing to ever be in halo 5 guardians, and it sucks that it got cut!
Would love a megablocks halo game similar to old lego starwars. Same style hubs and humour, using mumbles and charades instead of dialogue. The lego star wars games divided each of the 6 films into 6 chapters(9 films, 5 chapters in skywalker saga), each halo game can be shortened to a sacred 7 kid friendly chapters without losing much, especially since there are a lot of 2 part missions in halo. CE could blend 343+library and skip betrayals+keyes Literally all of H2's 14 playble levels are 2 parters, H3 can skip crows+tsavo, ODST blend kizingo+ONI, Reach blend winter contingency+ONI, skip new alexandria. 35 bungie era levels 343 era is pretty straight forward H4 can skip composer, H5 is basically 7 missions already. The lego games left a void with their newer games, megablocks has the opportunity to swoop in with a classic simple pick up and play game
This would have been the way to introduce Halo to a much younger demographic. Were it so easy, right 343? This game got me thinking, what about a portal game but "halofied" in which you're trying to reach cortana though a series of increasingly contrived regular and jump puzzles. Hell, Halo's lore even provided for teleportation tech.
This game deserves to be made no matter what idc I’ve loved halo since I was a kid and have been collecting, painting, and modeling halo mega figures. I was so depressed we never got this and I want this game so badly and the reason I’m 100% on it is because it’s already set up to be made beautifully. It’s a full proof win for halo fans tbh. So in all honesty I think we deserve this game to be finished and given a little more love to release and we could actually reset up the new generation of halo fans that infinite was SUPPOSED to do but since Microsoft blew it (for the 10000th time) and 343 has fallen apart this would be a perfect small halo project to realistically and properly put halo back on a good direction. With the potential ce remake these would be a great pair and could potentially re-establish the halo franchise as a big competitor. What corporations have forgotten is to be actually competitive in a market you have to actually give a fuck about your market because they are the ones making your business a success and giving you money in your pocket. Until corporations lower their disgusting egos and come back down to reality we will see more and more failures, money wasted, and potential corporate shutdowns (which in all honesty let them keep being stupid I hate corporate anything so maybe it’s a good thing they are destroying themselves) but as a halo fan I pray they make the smart decisions going forward and actually realize what it takes to be old bungie levels of loved and success. If they make a proper remake and release this with more side projects to expand the halo games and how we play halo then they will for the first time really ever, be successful at a halo release
just need a halo based minecraft game now where you spawn on a procedurally generated halo ring and have to just survive and build. If you see a nice biome on the far side of the ring you can run there, its going to take a few real life days to make it though, but you can. I'd buy that game if it came out, immediately
The alternate timeline would be reviewing over a scrapped open world semi mature installment of Halo known as "Project: Infinite" while comparing ito the flood horror spin off we got and a proper Halo 4-6 that didnt abandon the original formula thanks to a dev team in 343 that are veterans of the original trilogy.
343 had countless opportunities to keep or get new fans for the community. With simple, not overly expensive designs. Mega blocks, short stories with simple classic game design, purchasable DLC campaign extension. But they resorted to hating Halo and Halo fans giving us absolute garbage content and taking away classic iconic elements. It literally takes a community leak to give Halo fans what they want.
