FULL BUILD: BV 206S, German Army, Afghanistan 2010, Takom 2038, 1/35

This Bandvagn BV 206S Articulated Armored Personnel Carrier was built from Takom 2083, in 1/35 scale. I'm sure most of you will omit this model as too strange to build, and even I didn't pay attention to it before.
All in all I completed it as German Army (Bundeswehr) ISAF in Afghanistan in medical version based on the original picture. You can watch full build with Nato camo painting, weathering and using some extras from Mad Modelbau, Eureka XXL and AK Interactive. Big red cross decals aplication is also shown.

I served as a Royal Marine and I used to drive one of these vehicles (it’s a BV) the heating system was broken, so it was like a freezer in the arctic and an oven in the US! Happy days!

We had few of these Bandvagns in the garrison, SISU petrol and diesel versions were in use, Bv's only for training purpose, SISU was much smoother to drive and less noisy, more faster too with Rover V8 or GM 6.2 & 6.5 diesels.

What a cool looking unit. Nice job on it as well. Aside from cargo trucks, I'm a sucker for all types of tractors.
