I'm enjoying building the Minature Series by Tamiya and probably will get this one next. This is a very straight forward build, nothing too complicated, but an excellent result. Maybe you could add some more text about what you're doing and with what ("cotton swab with white spirit", "coat of clear varnish" etc, for example). Thanks for showing.
One of the last steps was gluing the upper hull to the rear hull. Mistake. Now, there's a great big ugly seam where there doesn't need to be. Next one, FIRST glue the upper hull to the rear plate early on. That way, you can clean up and paint over the seam, making it invisible. Leave the BOTTOM of the rear plate to glue last, after the wheels & tracks are done. That leaves just one tiny seam down low, easily cleaned up or hidden. Gray is also a better color for the tow cable ends.... GREAT WORK!....nicely weathered!
FIRST!!! Whoa that vibraty electric music put me in a daze and ready to watch this! I feel like my eyes were spinning spiralsI like I was a cartoon character. There is something so familiar about this but I just can’t put my finger on it. I don’t know. The precision you have with those snippers and small parts and the delicate handling of the models tells me that you would be so good at the game Operation!! My only complaint/suggestion is you should consider filming the unboxing and ESPECIALLY the removal of the small parts IN REAL TIME with background Sound ON!!
It looks awsomne. Your video came at perfect time. I am waiting for the same kit right now, I have a good reference in this, as It will be my first armour. Well, It is another great good morning 😀
This looks amazing. I got this kit in last night. I'm new to airbrushing and trying to increase my paint skills. Did you use the paint colors listed in the instructions or did you substitute some of them? I want to try and follow along instead of stumbling my way through new painting techniques. Thanks!
Hello everyone, I recently bought some add ons for the M1A1 Abrams kit (M1A1 Abrams Accessory Set) , from a company called Legend. It's stuff to be added on the tank, such as barrels, crates, backpacks and so on. Problem is I don't understand how to separate the items from the sprue, since the sprue is incredibly though and thick. Can anyone help me with a suggestion? Many thanks.
I was looking for a tank model kit that was already painted bc i cant paint and i don't have the materials but i guess there is not and I'll have to paint 😔
Most models you will have to glue and paint. There are a few simple type models that come pre painted and all you have to do is assemble. Some are snap fit with no glue which makes it even easier.
I’m brand new to the world of models, when you buy these kits does it come with everything you need your do you need to buy the paints and glues yourself
Most kits only have the model itself. There are a few starter kits that have paint and glue. Those are great for beginners. Airfix is the brand that does that...
Could you link what tools you use? I would love to have that needle for cementing. I am only on my 2nd model ever with this one, my first was an M48A1 1/35th so the parts were large enough where being careful straight from the tube was fine but now on this smaller model, I am learning I need something more precise. I really wish I had access to more tools for models as I don't even paint them but maybe one day I will.
