A speeding driver in a Dodge vehicle led police on a dangerous chase through Los Angeles, but was later apprehended after jumping into another car in an attempt to escape, police say. Full story: abc7.com/police-chase-pursuit...
The red Chrysler was waiting for the suspect under the bridge...another news channel had a good angle under the bridge when he got off the challenger into the red Chrysler.
I would think a parking structure, ditch the car, walk out to next door and to where another car is waiting. That was pretty much what happened in one car chase in LA a couple of years ago
A month or two ago, I saw a video of police attempting to catch a stolen Challenger Hellcat out of Houston, TX. On the open Interstate, it got up to almost 160. It was actually outrunning the chopper! It got so far ahead, that it was nothing but a blurry dot in the distance. It was at-most a minute or two away from losing the chopper altogether---when it ran out of gas.
I remember that video... That happened a few years back... The Challenger ran out of gas, and the driver ran into the trees and thick brush to the right of the freeway, and it took a few more minutes before the news chopper spotted him hiding and notified the Sheriff's Dept. deputies as to his location, whom converged and promptly arrested him...
@ShadovvV If only you knew.. The majority of people that can actually afford these cars that have had them stolen refuse to take them back because of the abuse and the title. Now a brokie that can barely get ahold of one will want it back because they can't afford to get a new one.
@ryanmax-grappler8654 I'm saying there's no point in worrying about getting it back AT ALL even if it was left unscathed. You'll have a hard time getting rid of it when you're ready to move on due to the title.
From the Dodge Challenger to a Chrysler 300. Why was there doubt or confusion over the whereabouts of the getaway driver? Because, the cops didn't keep up with the suspect. You'd hope they learn from their past mistakes and don't let things get more complicated than it needs to be.
The chopper is not to blame. The error was the Brass deciding to not follow the suspect with a squad car. The switcheroo took place about 13 miles from LAX. If Slauson Ave. & the 110 Fwy is in the flight path for LAX, all the more reason to have had a cop car following.@@Jortdf534
Years ago, I was out for a run, and suddenly a car sped past me and cop cars were chasing after it. After the run, I went home and looked up Lincoln Height car chase cause that's where it sped past me. I found it and the helicopter footage too but the helicopter wasn't there when it past me. Damn it would have been cool to see myself running on video
My nephew was an innocent passenger in a vehicle caught up in chase outside of Atlanta in December. Their car was hit head on by a guy running from police in a stolen Camaro. His friend (lady driving) was killed!😭 My nephew was badly injured. Had 2 surgeries and mending now.🙏🏽 They don’t think of the harm they can do!🤬
I had CHP Night Sun scan over my car twice in a neighborhood once, I stopped, got out and looked at the helicopter like WTF? A voice came over their PA system thanking me for stopping and getting out, revealing myself and opening my truck doors. And away they went.
If you’re ever lost in downtown L.A. remember this poem and you will be fine: From Main I Spring to Broadway, over the Hill to Olive. Wouldn’t it be Grand to Hope to find a Flower on Figueroa?
3:07 the chopper guys reaction was one of Ohhh Yeah were gonna see a collision. I have heard that same sound many times at the mini sprint races. Some people get all excited when they see an accident happening. 😅
If y’all watch this clip correctly y’all would see that this man got away clearly he enters the freeway at 10:39 when the camera is panning you should look closely at the bridge to enter the freeway you’ll see the dodge entering the freeway
that might be so, but there overcrowding in the state prisons and the local jails so they are letting criminals out without having to serve much of their sentences. Crime does pay in CA. That's being progressive! @@winwin6661
Bro is just making an ad for Doge as they're going to kill the Challenger and the 300, this year. It's a last ditch effort by Doge to get more customers. 😅
I've recently been seeing groups of 2-3 Chargers on the freeways traveling at high speeds and cutting around traffic late at night. Crime in LA is the worst it's been since the '80s and '90s. It may actually be worse...
@@MaNdYzMoReNiTa It honestly terrifies me a bit. It looks coordinated and backed by training. There are some deeply troubling things happening, and it's different than what we've seen in the past here...
