Probably the only Olympics closing ceremony to bring tears to my eyes. Amazing choreography, beautiful mix of Chinese and western elements in the show. Amazing emotions shown from the athletes and acknowledgement given to the volunteers, and the smiles from the ordinary Chinese on the streets. This Games has hopefully humanised the people of China who have always been subjected to being demonised by the western media. Congratulations to all athletes and we look forward to Italy in 2026!
More confidence for the Chinese people to speak for their country before the global village. Actually, developing nations have a more positive view of them. Within the developed ones, younger people have more favorable views thanks to social media and content creators

Never in history, a winter Olympic games will have such a dramatic impact on the winter sports in China and beyond. Truly magnificent! This is the only time I ever watched the games and found interesting and exciting.

This is the best Olympics Closing Ceremony I have ever watched. It is a master piece from the Movie Director Zhang Yimou. He really knows how to express Chinese style romantic. The whole closing ceremony is so exceptional and amazing! It totally touches people's heart!

Strictly speaking, these kids are out of tune, and some people even accuse them of bad singing, but I think this imperfection is perfect, very Olympic spirit, and I really envy them.
@@user-bt5qg1fo2d they are not a professional choir. they are from a mountain village in Hebei province that was just lifted out of poverty a few years ago. A retired music teacher volunteered to teach music to children in this area. When she first arrived there, children didn't even know how to sing a song. But they improved very fast under her guidance. Director Zhang You chose them to sing at the opening and closing ceremonies as a tribute to the ordinary Chinese people, especially those in rural areas.
And this is the start of the rise of winter sports in China. You have now 300 million people, especially millenial and generation Z ones, filling ski resorts and ice skating rinks to learn new sports such as snowboarding, skiing, speed skating, figure skating, biathlon, ice hockey and curling.
@tree tall Hundreds of ski resorts all over China, and more to be opened soon. Property developers are rushing in this new trend with integrated resort complexes to spur rural tourism all year round.

Got to love the volunteers, they did a amazing job which was hard due to the PPE wear, my little sister was part of this event, thumbs up to you all. All the athletics were united together which was great to see, well done to the Chinese people and China, love from Beijing, China.

Seeing something beautiful, I cant control my tears, the first time when i saw the sea; walking in the Camino de Santiago; and watching people from different parts of the world getting together. That is why I am big fan of Olympics, which reminds me that we share the same feelings deeply in our hearts.

The closing ceremony is undoubtedly another spectacular success. When the athletes showed up, they started having fun in the middle of the ground of the National Stadium (Bird's Nest) while the host announced "Please be seated" three times lol. The athletes really enjoyed the ceremony and they were so excited when they saw the cameraman. They even hugged volunteers! As a Chinese, I'm looking forward to the next winter Olympics in Italy. Hope the Italians could reach another success. I hope that I can visit Europe again several years later (I have been to Italy in 2013). Best regards.

Best closing ceremony of modern times. Great display of technological advancement, artistic expressions, moving message of together for a shared future. And highlight at the very end of echoing the 2008 games opening ceremony is a brilliant tough. Like his fellow countrymen, Zhang Yimo is brilliantly romantic.
It was so funny when the host said a few times “请运动员们入座观礼” (“All athletes please sit and watch the ceremony”) but almost all of them still jumped around and even circled to dance:)))
