Hey there. I have a very tiny Shih Tzu. She only weighs 6lbs. I have never seen one as tiny as she is. She has a full long coat and I groom her myself. I feel like I have done a really good job with her. I struggle with her feet on how to cut them. Watching you thru this video really helped. Her hair is no where near a thick as this beauty in the video. My Lucy’s hair is more silky like and straight looking. It lays flatter I guess. I’m going to watch more of your Shih Tzu grooming videos to learn more. I love how sweet and gentle you are with this sweet angle in the video. Her mommy does a wonderful job on her at home, that is quite clear. I need to bathe my little Lucy more frequently. I’m gonna improve that moving forward. Thank You for sharing your skills in these videos. ❤❤❤ I would love to see more videos on Shih Tzus that you groom with long coats. I never quite know how to trim the sides and get that to blend in with the feet. Should I be using the thinning shears on that area? I noticed you used the curved shears on her feet/legs and that’s what I have been using. I think I may be leaving the hair on the outside of her feet too long. I’m always afraid I’ll cut it too short. I messed it up a while back and my daughter said she looked like the footstool from Beauty and the Beast movie… It’s true, she really did. It was quite hilarious 😂😂😂. S, I’m just paranoid now to mess them up. lol. Hope I made you smile. I’m looking forward to watching more of your grooming with longer Shih Tzu.❤

Lovely grooming session and the 11 month old sweet doggie was so good. I just groomed my 9 year old full coat black and white Shih Tzu and am exhausted. We live up in the trees and lots of rain leaves and twigs. She gets messy but I have learned to deal with mats under her coat rather than trying to take them out with combs. A little electric razor does it easy. Thank you for showing your wonderful video. I will save and watch over and over.💖💖

wow, so much coat , that must be overwhelming for owners of these type of dogs if they aren't able to stay on top of it; I couldn't imagine the daily brushing needed. So fun to see how to maintain this coat rather than the usual nose to tail shave down. Yay.

Did you say Shih Tzus are not intelligent dogs? If so, that is so not true. But not sure what you said.

Poor baby she must get extremely hot in the summer ! I have a Lhasa and keep very short in the warm months and let it grow in the fall and winter
