Good Day Capt, when pilot queue on runway wait for takeoff permission from ATC.Do they step on brake pedal or just pull back thrust lever to N1 around 20% in order to keep aircraft stop? Thanks a lot for nice videos...👍👍
Thanks a lot for your nice feedback and for your good question. The pilot ask ATC for permission. At midsize and large airports, usully you need to bild and wait - always. Then you can line up, wait, check again and confirm again the take off, if all clear, you can start the take off. When its smaller airports with around 10-12 planes, it use to be hours without a movement. In this case, during the taxii, when the plane is close the runway, you can ask for permission to take off when the plane is still running a bit, it can be negative or positive reply from ATC. Like my local airport, That’s a small one like this, it can sometimes be ok to keep rolling and take off since its no other movements. Lets say that you change to Stockholm Arlanda airport ARN, it is usally always a que to the runway and ATC are the pilots on the ground and sky. Thanks again for your comment and amazing feedback🙂👋✈️
I like them both, it’s the two kind of planes I have been flying most of the times. It’s good we have a strong network in Scandinavia, SAS, Norwegian & Widerø that can fly to the smaller airports.
It’s the two wheels that control the flaps ( up/down) - It can sound a bit high and a lot when flying like this, between mountains and then turn back where the AirPort is. Thanks for your question 🙂
@@Andreaschouff Yes, the flaps are at each side so you fix them when needed. Wheels are for trimming, its correct. The trimming makes the sounds that the first member asked about. Thank’s for the comment so I could explain.
