What a nice little car! And the result is splendid! A question as I see the trees in the background: what's the best and safest way to handle tree sap on the paint?
Nice isn’t it! I just use a snowfoam to remove the dusty sap. If there are large hard spots I have found the best way is to safely pick them with your fingers. IPA works quite well too to soften them
Nice job Nick! ❤. I noticed that you always use Bilt Hamber Auto-Foam. Any thoughts on Touchless vs Autofoam? I am getting ready to purchase and not sure which is”better” as a pre-treat before hand washing. Thanks!
Hi Nick, just wondering if it is okay to clay bar in the way you do if I don't then machine polish the car? I'm planning on doing a quick ceramic myself but I don't have all the kit needed or expertise to do a full paint correction, just want some added protection before winter
Hi Liam, Absolutely, as long as you use quite a light clay bar so it isn’t too aggressive. Make sure you throughly chemically decon first to remove as much as possible.
@HarpersCarDetailing thank you so much mate that's really helpful. I have ordered the fine grade clay! I also have Korrosol and Inf Wax Tar & Glue remover to use first. I noticed you applied these, then applied a layer of auto-foam on top, then clay barred, is that correct? Or is there a behind the scenes bit where you pressure wash off all the decon first before the auto-foam and clay bar
