As your mother, I just think about the little baby that was placed on my chest when you were born. Now you are this incredible human being with your own path. I am most proud that your path will help to illuminate the paths of others. I feel like I know you better but at the same time I feel like there are parts of you that I do not know. Love you and Daddy, Mom and Ms. Vera would be so proud!
I m not even 5 minutes into this video and I m tearing up. I m getting ready to walk in August from Le Puy and this video is one more inspiration . It s a tough journey and I can t wait to see her through to the end. Keep inspiring.
As her mother you should teach her how to respect and be considerated to others..Is very nasty to put your stinki cheese ugly feets on the table where other people is going to EAT...What would you think if you see a ..white guy puting his dirty smelly feets on your lunch????may be in Africa is what they teach..
Its the evening of Dec 25th 2023 and im watching your Camino video. Ive walked 6 Caminos with sole mate who has recently passed i thought i would never walk another Camino without her. However after coming home from a friend's house and finding your Camino im so happy to say i will walk the Camino frances in 2024. I will carry her heart in my heart. Buen Camino
we're 62yrs old, My wife and I completed our Camino a little over a week ago, returned home here in Hawaii this past Wednesday...the Spiritual journey was profound,...I can't articulate the experience any other way but...PROFOUND!! ...The wonderful souls & places we were blessed with along the way shall forever hold a special place in my heart....IMHO: the Camino is a microcosm of our lives...the Good, bad, sometimes ugly, the challenges, pain & suffering, the heat, the cold, the wind & rain...Like our lives, the Camino isn't suppose to be easy...it's a journey, a Spiritual Pilgrimage...in the end a Change, a change in Character, in Heart & Soul,...we move forward with our lives with a renewed sense of purpose, to be more loving, giving, kinder, more patient, understanding, and compassionate....the voice of Christ becomes clearer as he continues to speak to our hearts.....it's a pilgrimage where it's just you and God...Mahalo's Nagela for sharing your experience....You Go Girl!!....Note: We're already planing our next Camino!
finally a woman of color documenting this. Thank you! I am setting off in a few weeks I am excited and nervous at the same time. The only thing I'm scared of it's guard dogs on farms or with the pasture. You did amazing and thank you for sharing.
You are welcome :) I hope your Camino went well. The guard dogs isn't too much of a problem. But it was a fear of mine and I encountered aggressive dogs once. I just had to stay super calm and not make eye contact. But it was scary hehe
Your Documentary is like a warm "blankie" that I cuddled up into. I am going next year , May 2024... I love the tone of your voice, your choice of words, your honesty, your beauty. You weren't trying to make a show...no "smash & hit the like button" energy... Just good down to earth content.Thank you so much...
Querida mía, no he comprendido apenas una palabra de tu narración pero me ha encantado empaparme con tu voz y las vivencias que nos has compartido. Ha sido una belleza de Camino. Mucha felicidad.
I'm planning to walk the Camino Santiago in my lifetime and starting to do my due deligence. I find your journey inspiring. I lost my beloved wife late last year and I'm still grieving. I will definitely take your journey whenever I'm ready, mentally, physically and spiritually. Thanks for sharing.
Although I have yet to walk the Camino, your statement of "I felt like I finished reading the last page of the best book in my life" is exactly how I imagine it to be. Thank you for sharing your journey.
I've walked the Camino's Frances and Portugues six times in the past 11 years. Over 3000 miles I think of pilgrimage walking. Yup, I was wondering what the heck I was doing when I arrived in Saint John at 10 pm with no reservations the first time I did it, but within a few days of walking I quickly got into a rhythm with the experience and wondered why the heck I had any trepidation in he first place. I always found a place to sleep for the night and a meal. Always within a few kilometers of a cold beer or hot coffee. I'm in my fifties and I think I could jump onto the Camino and practically jog the 500 miles to Santiago now.
Oh wow! One day I would like to just wing it! I always made sure I planned ahead because I was so nervous in general about sleeping. But next time, I just want to see where I land!
Just stumbled onto your video and it's THE MOST beautiful account of the Camino that I've ever seen. Your energy and soul shine so brightly! I hope you do more travel related content. The world needs you!
Nagela, I finally managed to watch the second half of your documentary after I had to delay it while in Berlin. I LOVED watching it!!! I found your comments touching and often poetic, giving me a feeling of being right there beside you in that beautiful nature. Tears came to my eyes when you arrived in Santiago. It was so emotional even just watching you and hearing your thoughts on my little mobile screen! Now all I want is to go walking there again as soon as possible. 😊Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience ❣️🙏
You beautiful girl! Thank you for this incredible tribute to the Camino and to yourself. I will start my Camino in 3 weeks, and although I'm in the Autumn of my life, I do hope to have learn just a fraction of what you learned in your short time on this earth. Many blessings to you.
Awww, Kathy! Thanks for being so sweet and kind. I know you will learn as much or more! Just remain open and embrace the challenges because they pass! I'm sending positive Energy to you for an amazing journey.
I did learn from her as well, I did the English Way and a portion of the Portuguese. 32 days for 500 miles? No way! I had to wait for retirement which is September. None of these videos ever show the pilgrims shopping for food in the grocery store! When I saw Negela make that salad in the lettuce bag, I was in awe... brilliant!
I walked my first Camino in 2013 as a challenge to leave my comfort zone when I turned 50. My second Camino was a year after having cancer. And my third was after having my foot reconstructed. Each time it was a way to reset and renew from within. I enjoyed your film and hearing your feelings about your journey. Thankyou so much for sharing. I hope you have successfully found the way to be on the Camino in your daily life away from Spain. Ultreia ♥️
Thank you for sharing your very emotional story. I felt the joy with you, the pain, I cried with you. Your very own Camino inspires me. My one will start in May 2024. I learned a lot from you. Keeping on, coming over the struggles that are surely waiting for me. Again, Thank you. ❤
You are a gifted storyteller; your raw emotions were shared freely for your growth and to encourage others to face their own truth. As the Mother of two beautiful daughters, I recognize the joy you bring to your family, especially your Mother. Like them, I am proud of you. You are forever changed, for the better, by taking your first and last steps to Santiago de Compostela. Ultreia et Suseia Peregrina! 🥾❤️
"It was weird, because I felt this light blossom within my soul, but also I was occupied by something new. I felt like I finished reading the last sentence of the best book in my life." 1:29:35 - 1:29:47 - Good words, peregrina.
Before last Thursday I knew nothing (literally and seriously) of this pilgrimage. Thursday evening I "randomly" saw a thumbnail of someone walking 500 miles and it intrigued me! After watching the stories of several people, I want to gooooo for this transformative experience! It's right up my alley! I came across your video this morning, and it was refreshing to see a (mainly) solo woman of color taking the trek. I just wondered if we were out on the hiking streets of France, Spain, and Portugal. 🙂 I am going to check out any other videos you may have on this, but in case I don't find them, I really (really) want to know your hotel/hostel names and/or locations because I know I will prefer private rooms. This seems better for me as I quiet myself after such a journey each day. Woohooo....I am looking into August 2024. Let the planning begin. 🙂 Thank you very much for sharing, and Godspeed.
Your video of your journey on the Camino de Compostela is exquisite, sensitive, and rich. Thank you for sharing your journey with us in such an elegant manner.
Thank you so much, Ervin! It was such an incredible journey - I really wanted to do it justice. I worked really hard on it - so thank you. Happy you went on a lil adventure with me 🙂
Wow, beautiful... you are so beautiful and amazing. Truly inspiring... I cheered for you as ran your way in to Santiago... I cried with you as you sat in front of the Cathedral. Inspiring and so beautiful ❤
As a person who loves watching all camino vlogs, yours is quite possibly the most spiritual i’ve seen yet. You focused on the way well and its the closest i think to what the original pilgrims must have done to get to Santiago. Buon Camino!
Thanks Nino :) It was a highly spiritual experience for me, you are right. I think the physical aspect, even intensified the spirituality of The Way for me. Buen Camino!
Thank you for the gift of the Welsh word. And the Alchemist. I just started it and I am also listening to the pilgrimage. One day at a time. Breathe!!!
I am 10 minutes in and am overwhelmed with gratitude for you and this video you are sharing. You are putting words to how I feel preparing for my own camino. Heading to enjoy the rest of your amazing story! ❤️
@@nagela_alexa I could tell it was deep and life changing. You are also a very good writer, putting words to your experiences and feelings. Like walking the pilgrimage that is not easy for everyone. It’s a gift! So is vulnerability and authenticity. I know your pilgrimage continues!
Seeing you running into Santiago was like wow, I can’t believe she’s running! Lol… I remember how long it took to get to the main area of Santiago…I’m glad you showed that part…it took, which seemed like forever to get to the cathedral! When I hugged the big statue of St. John, I can still remember the feeling of thankfulness and gratitude of finally making it there!
I love how you seem to have savored ever moment. You took your time, you stopped to rest and enjoy everything. it is really nice to watch your Camino. So inspiring. Thank you for sharing ❤️
I am going on the Camino this June, and your story was so moving. Especially in those last 20 minutes, I felt like I was invited into something really beautiful through your video. Your way with words and the beauty and realness in your pictures- they were such a gift to experience. Thank you for sharing this
This is the most beautiful thing I have ever watched. As someone who will embark on this journey soon, I am in awe. Thank you for sharing your bravery with us around the world. You have inspired me even more to do this.
What an amazing journey. Thank you so much for sharing it with us all. I also want to add that it takes a lot of courage to be so honest and vulnerable. Your video will be a huge encouragement to others. I can't wait to read your book.
Awww Susan, your words... Thank you so much & I can't wait to finish it! I'm honored that you feel it will help others, that means so much ... I'll def let you know when I finish it!!
I am so proud of you. I watched your Camino from start to finish. You are brave, smart and so beautiful inside and out. I am so glad you found yourself in the Camino. God will always be on your side even though how hard it would be. Just have faith and believe. Thanks for your retrospective of your Camino. We plan to do another Camino Frances next year God willing. Excellent job in your Camino videos, pictures, scripts, incredible and inspiring messages. Most of all, a big thanks for sharing your unforgettable and awesome experiences not readily available to many. What a great job and accomplishment for a young and brilliant lady like you. Good luck.
wow! Thank you. I am so flattered by your words. I am so exciting for you to have your own Camino experience. I have never had an experience like it. Buen Camino :)
What a great video - I enjoyed every second of it. Thank you for sharing your journey. I will start my 2nd Camino Frances on 1st of May this year. It will be my 6th Camino in total. This way takes hold of you and never lets you go.
Its February 2023 and I just found you on YT. I am 63, diabetic, but with good numbers :) I want to do this so badly. You are such an inspiration. I am researching how to do this, alone. I worry about my feet. I am also a photographer and I think it would take me a 100 days to do this because I would take so many images. "The diversity of scenery is incredible" you said. Thank you for sharing your poetry, your imagery, thoughts...
YOUR JOURNEY IS BEAUTIFUL~SOOOO PEACEFUL AND CALMING IS YOUR VOICE~THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR HEART~WISDOM and MANY LESSONS~!!! INSPIRATIONAL 🙏🎁🙏🎁🙏🎁🙏🎁🙏
I'm so proud of you,I cried so much watching it.I felt like I was with you, even you thoughts were like mine 7 years ago.Im leaving now on the 17th ,I have to do it again, Camino lives in us forever and we will miss it for as long as we live.Thats why I'm going back. Bless you girl 🤗🤗❤️❤️
I loved the story of your journey! I cried with you at the end. I will watch it again and probably again! Thank you so much! I’ve been to Santiago twice. I’m hoping to start my journey in October. Buen camino, peregrina!
I loved following and engaging with you through the Camigas group and now again with this documentary. The feeling that you recounted about having read the last sentence of your favorite book is such an astute way to put it! The final words and images that concluded this recounting about focusing on the why and not the how is such a good reminder. I felt that way as well….and still do. It’s one of the greatest insights that came from my Caminos. Blessings to you dear Nagela.
Mindy, I'm nearly about to cry reading this comment! You're so sweet. I appreciate that you received what I was trying to convey. The journey is so challenging physically and mentally that you have to focus on the why, and I'm so happy that you felt that as well. The end of this documentary took so long to put together because it was all about why. Thank you so so so much for watching and I'm inspired by you to continue to share
Thank you for sharing your journey, and all your emotions. For a long time I have been lost in what I want for me, really for me from the heart. Then inspired by a friend i started looking into everything camino. And just putting that in my future lifted my heart. I dont know about the how and when, but the intention and purpose is there. Your video is one of the gems in preparation for my first steps on the camino whenever that may be 🥰
Very impressive and somewhat different to others I have seen. I think that you captured the essence of what the Camino is all about and shared a sincere and personal experience. Roger
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences on the Camino Frances. I am preparing now for the Frances from SJPDP in June of this year. Your video has answered many of my questions and served as inspiration.
Great video, made me emotional and willing to endure again... and again, this beautiful adventure and initiatory path. Loved your comments, so authentic and coming through with powerful vulnerability. You are a wonderful soul! Thank you!
Wow, Marco, this comment is truly appreciated. I wish you could hear me say that loud and clear! haha. It's challenging sharing something in such a vulnerable way, but I find it even more challenging to not be 100% honest. Reading this comment motivates me to keep sharing in the same way!
Well done, I did the Camino Francais twice - one Camino del Norte, one Camino Portugese and Via del a Plata. It is a wonderful journey for the mind, soul and body. I hope you enjoyed it to the fullest, and that you achieved what you came there for.
Oh wow! That's super impressive! Which was your favorite? I'm strongly considering the Portuguese this year! And I agree, mind body, and soul. Thanks for your comment!
@@nagela_alexa My favorite, as yours, is always the first one - everything else is just a repetition of your first experience. If you do it again, you know why - and how to use it for your best interest. Stay strong and Buen Camino!
It's the 1st time I ever write a comment on YT. You are a beautiful being. I feel touched by your mindfulness on your walk, your depth, authenticity, and resilience. You also have some storytelling and video skills to bring us on the beautiful journey of life with you. Keep on listening to Pachamama 🌟 All the best on your camino ahead.
Awwww, that's really nice Anca. I was so worried about ending this journey, and it took so much time to process it after it was complete. I'm happy you felt what I had to share!
I enjoyed your journey....I am a Spaniard living in the USA in PA...I am from León, not from the city but up north near Asturias...I think you are lucky you were able to do the Camino...I never did...I wish I did...Blessings...
What a yogi you are...and smart too. I have watched numerous videos of this walk and your is the loveliest on, such peaceful energy eminating from it. Thank you for sharing. Love and Peace Always.
I just watched this from beginning to end. Your journey is so inspiring, and I’m committed to doing the Camino now after seeing this. You are such a light - thank you for showing us the camino through your eyes! You’re so cool. I’m sure whatever questions you have about your life right now will figure themselves out, like you said. I want your autograph for real.
I had followed you on the Camigas FB page and am so glad you put your journey out in this longer documentary. I loved your background audio that supports your photographic choices. I so appreciate that you share this. Your insights are so personal but universal and affirming. Wishing you many blessings! Thank you!
Hey Nagela, I followed you on the FB group so then and watching this I have goosebumps! Well done beautiful one. Peace girl x Buen Camino oh the sunflowers you mentioned when you saw them on the Way? I see sunflowers now and you inspire me! Namaste
Love your story! You truly have a beautiful gift for writing. Someday I would love to walk the Camino. God willing. Congratulations and may everyday continue to be a Blessing!
Thank you so very much for sharing your journey, your vulnerability, your wisdom. You are magical in your own special way. After a long illness, I hope to do the Camino in a couple of years. I will carry your serenity as I work towards that goal.
