Bought this game in Florida for my GBA when I was a kid, after playing it on the plane ride there. Still play it on my DS, wish my 3DS had a slot for it!
I love how in the ending it sounds like a metal music box that is pulled up again and again. DDRRIIISH I love how in the ending it sounds like a metal music box that is pulled up again and again. DDRRIIISH
@@amilisom Didn't know Sonny Rollins. But Dr. Mario's version closely follows the rhythm of ELP's, not of Rollins' swinging. Also both chose synth sounds that remind me of steel drums, and that's quite different from a sax. I know that there's hardly any sax-like sound in a NES synth, but there's a quick fade effect on the notes of both Dr. Mario's and ELP's, and that doesn't sound like Dr. Mario's composer had any wind instrument in mind.
Played this on my grandma's nes quite a bit back in the day. The title music always sounded really weird to me, especially compared to the other nes games I played.
***** i've been playing this game in a periode when my life was going bad. I like this music but it makes sad because it reminds me of all these bad times
