Minghao is the type that doesn't really cry when he is upset. So to see him trying to hold it in when Jun was hugging him my heart broke. And can we talk about how strong Jun is. He was comforting yanan and minghao when hehad to makeup his new performance. I love his personality

I like how Zhennan, one of the youngest contestants, is more mature about all this than Jony J. Personally I don't blame gonge because when your friend leaves you feel guilty if you dont. Zhennan is right. Some people nowadays use bad manners as their personality. It is not a personality it is just disrespectful

One word to describe Jony J’s leaving is unprofessional. And Minghao was pretty matured and strong to handle this situation and Jun our angel. I’m so glad they both joined this program to have each other’s back. Zhennan this kid kept amazing me :) I love all these artists and this show.

*i love the fact that although they were doing this show as minghao and junhui and not as "seventeen's the8 and jun", they still wear their precious rings wherever they are and whatever they do*

Who came back here after hearing the news that JJ will be a mentor in an Idol Program? It's been a year but I still cannot forget how he mentioned that idols are not real artists and now he has the guts to be a mentor for aspiring idols?! Are we a Joke to you?! Such hypocrisy! Plus the fact that he made our precious Minghao cry?! Never forget!!!!

"Yes I'm an idol. Therefore I won't take the artist title and become a psycho who does art for the sake of art" ooof that burn. Zhou Zhennan is truly a force to be reckoned with. Their stage has gotta be my favourite from this episode. I have so much respect for the both of them!

I genuinely appreciate what Jun did, didnt say anything, just straight up hugged cause I think he know that anything he says will actually make Minghao lose his shit on camera and what he did was really really kind. This is the side of Jun most people tend to forget, as silly or playful it is, when it comes to caring about his friends and members, he's the most thoughtful person. Respect for Jun ❤️ Edit: I saw this when the actual video came out but even now when Minghao sings "Im okay", my heart fucking hurts. Despite all of this, he's still reflecting what he did, acknowledges what he did wrong and what he did right, still respects those two and manages to maintain his composure. I dont know how much is actually being shown, I have a small feeling that Minghao and Jun actually talked this out but Minghao is really really such a good person.

54:42 it's always the same. Minghao jumps straight up and rushes to Jun's side when he knows Jun is tense and stressing out. Minghao always helps Jun with his performance while Jun in return is always there comforting him and giving strength. I seriously love those two.

lol i'm watching this almost two years later and i'm still SO MAD about how they treated minghao like that. that's literally such a slap in the face to him for people that he's admired for so long to immaturely treat him like that. it says so much ab their attitude and tenacity. to have started in the entertainment industry at such a young age, minghao carries himself so well in situations like these. he's such a talented performer and an even kinder, calm, and empathetic person. you can just see him holding it in, laughing nervously and his eyes were glossing over. i'm glad jun was there to be able to comfort him, and props to him for also comforting yanan and continuing the performance by himself. gong ge and jony j lost an opportunity by not working with minghao and leaving the show. AND THE FACT THAT JONY J LITERALLY TOLD HIM IN THE ROOM THAT HE DOESN'T WANT TO BE SELFISH AND WILL LET MINGHAO PICK GONG GE like what a dick move ugh it makes me genuinely mad.

Zhou Zhennan: "Jony J, if you can't even endure this yet claim you're so dedicated towards music... I can't see your dedication at all." Yes. Yes. Yes. The kid said it all. I think everyone feels the whole situation was unecessary and that both, Jony J and Gong Ge's attitute was childish. Jony J says he cares about music and would like to get his work more recognized and to reach out to more people, but when he gets the opportunity to do so on a platform that's going to be seen by millions of people, he bails out just cause he can't play with his friend anymore. Minghao was someone who admired him and expressed that many times, but he just couldn't give a single fuck to that. Also, I admit that I kind of expected a dick move from Jony J, but when Gong Ge decided to leave as well I felt really disappointed. I mean, the guy literally said that if Jony J wasn't around he'd like to work with Minghao or Zhennan. But when Jony leaves, he follows right after like a little puppy. Really, It would've hurt less if they'd slapped Minghao on the face. Like Jiacheng said, I felt so sorry for him because he keeps blaming himself. That's really unfortunate. :/ :/ :/

I wanna hug Jun so badly...He's such a warm man, an really angel. He has no confidence on stage too, but he keeps comforting Yanan, and then feeling lonely and getting so much pressure himself, just working too hard for the prommison with Yanan, practice after practice in a crazy way, that even hurts his throat...my heart was broken. He remain the mic's position as same as previous, just like Yanan still there... Junnie, our little sweetie, thank you for always take care of everyone's feeling. You really did so well in the performance and that situation.

Wen Junhui is seriously such a special person. The way he comforted Minghao with just a simple hug, how he continuously comforted Yanan by saying he'd take the burden too, telling him to rely on him even if Yanan couldn't perform that week, asking him to share all of his worries so they can face it together, it was extremely heartwarming. Junhui is such a wonderful and happy person that we're so used to seeing his beaming smile but then he shows you that he really is just a boy who loves singing and doesn't have much confidence in himself and tbh that takes a lot of strength to finally just tear down your walls and let people see that you are in fact very stressed and scared. The way he felt so determined to get into the next round just so Yanan could come back and make a stage they could remember together made me emotional. He felt so strongly about performing with Yanan again that it was his drive to do well and he got 70 points all by himself which is honestly an achievement in itself. As for Longfei and Jinghao, man I didn't know I'd bawl my eyes out I thought they were so amazing, Longfei's stages were one of my favourites (aside from jun's yall know im biased) and tencent likes to play with our feelings dude- ok ill stop now 😂😂😂

Zhennan was so right about Jony J, he was just being childish and dropping because he wasn't with Gong Ge was just petty of him...

Jun constantly encouraging Yanan when he was so depressive Affirming to Yanan in clear words that the performance is important but his partner's wellbeing is more important Deciding to leave Yanan's mic on the stage to support him Just the overall positive emotional support he brought up by letting Yanan knows that it's not a burden to let all his feelings out than keeping it in. OMG Jun carrying over Seventeen team-affirming bonding and spirit is like... I can see why... Seventeen has stayed so strong now. Singularly, he is already so powerful because he is so sensitive and caring. WTF Jun, I never got to see this when Jun is with Seventeen.

I love the fact that they cried when longfei left and they didn’t cry when gong g and jony k left 😂

I am crying watching Jun comfort Yanan, first because the boy can't see his own value and second, because Junhui is such a sweet person and such a good friend, this boy is so precious 😭♥️

Aw poor baby Minghao. He confessed his admiration towards gong ge music and Jony J rap, but why they need to act so selfish like that? Minghao already holding back his desire, his opinion there and here. Hey but look at the bright side, Minghao know the true side of his gege. :)

Throughout this whole episode you can really see how much they care for one another. when jun hugged minghao you could tell it helped and you could tell jun was very concerned. Also when jun was struggling Minghao rushed to help him and make him calm down. It's a beautiful friendship.

I can't believe that Jony J allowed Gong Ge to leave the show for him. He didn't even try and stop him. I am sorry but that is really selfish and entitled. You are willing to allow someone to leave a whole show because of you, seriously! He could have easily said don't leave the show because of me, do what you want to do, don't be influenced by my decision. Here I was thinking that after Jony J had left and was completely out of sight, like completely that is when Gong Ge decided to leave, but no, Jony J was right there and could have stopped him. Gong Ge shouldn't have followed him, he just shouln't have. What also annoyed me is that Jony J had this smirk and smile the whole time. I was like why are you smiling for? this is not a smiling situation. I am glad that Zhennan had the bravery to speak his mind about the situation and I am glad that he didn't shy away from speaking the truth.

I learned that Gong ge isn't really an official artist yet, he is pretty young and isn't used to TVshow and to be with other artists. So I was surprise because he was doing honestly pretty well, knowing that the staff didn't inform him about what the emission was going to be about. But Jony J... he is a real disappointement. This guy is a real artist, he releases songs, he knows how the industry works, but he was unable to act like a real artist. All of them here are doing their best, ready to try differents and new things, but Jony J have been out there"boo boo, that's not my thing, i don't want to do it". every. single. episode. And the worst part being not wanting to work with anyone than Gong Ge because he didn't want to experiment. He lost all my respect, both as an artist and human being. And Gong Ge was totally influenced by his negativity, he was probably so lost not knowing what to do. It doesn't change the fact that he gave up and that's disappointing, but I'm less salty, and at least he tried.

I really like how Zhou Zhennan is so effortlessly cool. But you can tell he's not putting on an act bc he also has this cute, down to earth, even a bit childish side that's really charming

through the entire show... I have become a fan now of Jun's personality and attitude... He is the best amongst alll .... He is strong person.... Even he is hurting inside he will give strength to others... I just wanna hug him and say.. It's Okay...

Yanan’s part truly saddened me. He is such a hardworking person and you can tell Jun really cares for him. I know we won’t get that much insight into Yanan’s situation or mental state as it is his personal problems, but now that he is taking break from Pentagon activities as well I am very worried about him. I really hope he finds himself in a better place and he has so many people willing to support him in whatever he goes through. Yanan has always had a timid personality (though with close friends he is usually or of his shell) and even though us fans will never truly know all of him, I can tell he is reluctant to open up to others about his feelings. The industry they work in can be so tough on anyone’s mental state with the stress and pressure to live up to everyone’s expectations. I hope Yanan becomes his happy bright self again and that he can lean on others and not feel like he is burdening them. Jun told him that they are all worried about him and will be waiting for him if he returns. Everyone loves you Yanan!

I teared up when Junhui came to Minghao and just hugged him. Because if I were on Minghao's place I would've cried. Their friendship is just too pure Jony J was very unprofessional.

One thing is certain, Minghao and Jun are true badass and professional artists. It's so impressive how they deal with stress and how empathic they are with others.

I really feel Yanan in the aspect that he thinks he's not good enough and is a waste of space. I felt that many times. Which is why I appreciate Jun so SOOO much here because we really DO need friends that will lift us up like this

I NEED TO SAY THIS JUN IS SUCH AN AMAZING ARTIST .. MY RESPECT FOR JUN AS INCREASED 100X MORE..i cried every time jun was on screen imagining how hard it was for him and how he recovered ..ITs not easy to do what he did ..

Everyone already said it, but Jun is so strong. He was suffering, he is anxious, he was feeling lost, but still he has the energy to take care of his friends. He was looking so strong while talking to Yanan and as soon as he was left alone, he crumbled, and he was visibly bad until Minghao tried to help, then he immediatly became confident. He looks like the kind of person that won't show how hurt he is, and just keep going, smiling even when he's crying inside. I'm glad he has his whole Seventeen family taking care of him.

Honestly I don’t understand Jony J, all of them came here to break out of there comfort zones and try something new instead of their own style. Minghao was insisting to do everything his way if it meant he could make music with him. But he didn’t want anyone else except one person, so he just left. Zhennen was right when he said he can’t see his dedication for music, bcuz if he really was dedicated, he would’ve moved out of his comfort zones, and gave all those people who wanted to collab with him a chance. Seeing Minghao and Longfei sit alone, while everyone else was working together reminding me of myself, and how alone I used to be before I got into kpop.

Very emotional episode. Zhennan has really good insight for someone so young. It brought tears to my eyes to see Yanan suffering so much, then I was really touched by how gentle and sweet Jun was to Yanan. Pentagon's Uni's really respect Jun. He was left in a difficult situation but he never made Yanan feel any worse for it, he supported him.

Imo Zhennan is a really admirable person. Like, he's so young (only one year older than me), yet he seems to know exactly what he wants to do. He has his own ideas and very strong and sometimes unique opinions. You can tell he spends a lot of time thinking and reflecting on himself (?) He's also very determined and passionate about music. At only 18 years he already has a very interesting style and an amazing stage presence. Not to mention that he's good at rapping, singing, dancing and even playing the piano a bit. He obviously can be pretty stubborn at times, he's what we call a Dickschädel in Germany. But he realised he had been a bit too greedy and changed his behaviour. I feel like he's really mature for his age (my mom says he thinks and sounds like a wise old man who's trapped in the body of a child lmao) Sorry for this long ass paragraph sdgfdjd I just really like Zhou Zhennan

Okay, literally no one is talking about Longfei. I just want to talk about how much I appreciate his personality and his passion and perseverance towards doing what he loves. I hope all the people who watch this will recognize his genuineness and support him, he really deserves it

I am amazed at how insightful Zhou Zhennan is and how straightforward in his opinions considering the pressure to be neutral by the idol industry. I agreed with every single one of his comments and also love how playful he is with Samuel they are a great pair. Junhao also demonstrated such strength of character in this episode he not only comforted Yanan without making him feel guilty but put together a great performance when he was drowning in insecurity. The problem with KPOP groups that contain a large number of members is that so few really get to shine and this program has defiantly shown Minghao and Junhao to be verstaile artists and wonderful people with great character.

I'm soo glad Jun ang Minghao were in this together and they could support each other. Jun you are such a kind and good person!!! Minghao it's not your fault but of those who come to a show and don't have manners let alone the gut to challenge themselves.

No one's talking about Zhennan and Samuel. They're so cute while practing and doing weird things. Well they're the young ones in this contest so they can act their age together. Aahhh❤

There were many shit things about this episode, but also so many good things: We got a glimpse of the real Junhei, whose compassion and kindness for others knows no bounds. Despite his maknae-esque behavior, there is an emotional maturity within him that's always looking out for his fellow friends and artists. Even though Yanan did not participate in this episode, I think it was for the best. He needed time to be with himself, to recenter and remotivate himself. It's hard to keep a learning mindset when you're surrounded by people not necessarily more talented, but more experienced than yourself, so I'm hoping that this break served him well to find that self-confidence again. We got to see Minghao come to life in the face of adversity; The raw disappointment and frustration he must have felt manifested into creative confidence and I'm so proud of him! We got to see Jiacheng and Eric teach each other and grow together as a pair, and breathe life into an old song in a way that I really like! And we got to share in the friendships of Longfei & Jinghao and Samuel & Zhennan. The way music brought them together and strengthened their relationships, the first pair for more than 10 years and the second anew, is obviously really special; I'm truly happy that Samuel found not only a fellow artist, but a companion and confidante in Zhennan. They suit each other so well and I have a feeling they'll be friends long after this program finishes. So yeah, the first bit and last bits were tough, but I'm actually really happy for everyone. Regardless of what happened and what's coming next, they've all grown as people and artists and we should celebrate that!

ok but guys longfei, minghao deserves better and every artist ever in chao yin zhan ji. no one should feel excluded and im glad yanan and the rest of them is better. that’s all i gotta say before watching. asdfghjkl. p.s / as a person who watched this show just for samuel, yanan and svt, i got really attached to the other artists and appreciate them more. im pretty sure i wasn’t the only one who look for their music after watching the show heh. and hi longfei eric zhennan xiao wu victor jinghao is really good looking and talented. p.s.s / after watching this episode, this is by far my fav episode out of all 6 episodes. and its very sad to see the one who got eliminated, would really look forward to any of his music. # / spoiler free

Jun's solo stage was incredible, I'm so impressed. That's my second favorite performance from this whole show so far, after the MY I stage!

the way you can feel the atmosphere get happier after jony j and gong ge left. they always created such a gloomy atmosphere whenever they were in a room with the other guys. if they were still here and had to sing cant stop the feeling i dont think they would do it

dang this was 2018 but you can really see the strong bond between Jun and The8. They work so hard in their hometown carrying their own name and also Seventeen's name. Like Minghao said, it was really fate that brought him to go to Korea alone to complete the missing piece of Seventeen. I just now really cannot imagine how hard will it be for Jun to be the only Chinese member without The8 joining. Jun not removing the mic for Yanan to see he still have a place to come back to is such a wholesome thing to do.. I can really see now what kind of genuine hearts Seventeen members have as an individual that made them so unique. They never erase their member's place whenever they go on hiatus

Jun's performance wasn't sad at all but why am I crying?? Maybe I just felt proud to him because although he is alone he still manage to sing perfectly. I felt proud! Really!!

I'm really glad Zhennan said what he did in front of everyone. He's absolutely right and even though Minghao was trying to take the high road and probably trying to retain his respect for those guys that he had looked up to, I think it was good for him to hear to relieve the burden of wanting to blame himself. I especially connected to what Longfei said though - even before now I was trying to figure out exactly how I felt about Jony J and Gong Ge, and it was exactly that. You have respect for their talent but not them as people. Talent is all well and good, and it can get you far but to be honest what's the point of revering a talented person if the only other thing they are is a giant shit head? That's a problem with a lot of artists and society's habit of idolizing them and looking past glaring flaws just makes it worse.

This ep had me crying! Okay, first of all, you could really see what type of people they all are. Minghao was so apologetic and guilt tripped himself for someone else's actions. That was so sad to watch. He has a lot of empathy. Did you see how he ran to Jun to calm him down? Bless. Jun is such a caring, supportive, and loyal friend. He has displayed this time after time with Minghao and Yanan. He would not leave Yanan's side and comforted him dearly. Yanan is very considerate to a point where he dimisses himself as equally important. He cared so much about Jun and honestly thought he was a burden. His head was bowed down and he avoided eye contact. Poor baby. Now onto Longfei, he will be missed. I actually loved him. I love all of them. They all shine in their own way. There were a lot of beautiful and heartbreaking moments in this ep. A lot of laughs and a lot of tears!---also shoutout to Zhennan for keeping it real and calling out the two.

I like how Eric said that they made a whole big deal about it bcuz they did. They’re was no reason to make it such a huge concern just bcuz they weren’t aloud to be emo together. Poor Minghao bcuz I genuinely thought he was either gonna cry or scream. The two oldest were literally the pettiest ones but the youngest ones are some of the wisest.

JUN IS SO PRECIOUS OMG! He is such a sweetheart. I cried when he comforted both Minghao and Yanan. He lifted them up so much. He knew Minghao was gonna break if he said anything so he just hugged him. We all need that sometimes. And he comforted Yanan in the sweetest way possible. He dealt with his problems alone and didn’t complain one bit. He was so so stressed, but he still stayed strong. I’m so proud of him and I love him so much.

when I saw Minghao choose his song alone, I felt really sad and angry, but Jun did everything a friend would do, when I saw him I got so excited because I knew Minghao needed his hug. Anyway Zhennan said things really right for his age.

What Jony J and Ge Gong did was so shitty but seeing these moments of genuine kindness and support from all the other members for their partners is so healing. Even if they had to deal with two rotten apples the right of the bunch are perfect. The way they look out for each other unconditionally is such a good example for people to follow. And I will stan Zhennan until I die for being both a stone-cold savage who clowned Jony in the most articulate way possible and also being so sweet to Samuel and making him feel cared for and included no matter what

I honestly feel like Gong ge was influenced by Jony J. He didn’t utter a word about leaving and was open to the collaboration, unlike Jony J who was so adamant. It’s a show, it’ll test you in difficult situations. You can’t have a comfortable life. If you want that then collaborate outside of the show. Gong ge is a newbie to shows and maybe that’s why he went with the flow. Jony J truly disrespected the artists. Look at Jony J smirk when Gong ge decided to leave too. Like why are you being so obnoxious about it.

I like Zhennan perspective towards the situation. To think that he's just the second youngest among 10 people but he acts more matured than his age. So cool man. Thumbs up for you. (Please refer to comments for train of thought and correction?) 2. Jun is the other mom in SVT. He really has those nurturing instincts. He is so empathetic, sympathetic, and compassionate. Everyone's mentioned his interaction with Minghao and Yanan, but he also took it upon himself to comfort Longfei and Jinghao when he was still anxious with stress and relief. He even comforted Zhennan and Xiao Wu when they got teary. He is so selfless and sincere, he honestly deserves so much love and recognition. 3. Jun is also a hard worker. When side by side with Minghao, he even says that Hao is the one who is relentless. But he is always determined to bring out the best in himself and his partner. He shouldered a stage meant for two and managed to make it spectacular and secured their spot for the next round, I praise him so much for that. 4. HIS CONSIDERATION IS SO PURE. HE LEFT THE MIC FOR YANAN AND TREATED THE STAGE AS A CONTINUATION OF THE LAST ONE. A SWEET GENIUS HE IS. 5. They are meant for greatness, idgaf.
