After escaping the cruelty of their father Manuel, Gael and JR start a new life with lots of hardship. The brothers soon meet Buchok who tells them that he sold himself to a child trafficker who promised to take him to an adoptive family. As their condition becomes more miserable, Gael is forced to sell JR to give him a better life. JR condemns Gael for betraying him, and in doing so, falls off a bridge before getting carried away by rushing waters.
