Genya is the type of person who will not listen to you even if you try to be nice to him. The two need to keep their distance. Sanemi suffers and is in danger if he gets involved. The reason why Gyoumei does not allow Genya and Sanemi to have contact and scolds Genya is because he knows Sanemi very well. Sanemi and Genya train together with, Gyoumei and each usually has a relationship with Gyoumei, but Gyoumei's presence balances the distance between them and prevents conflict. Because of Genya's inability to use his Breathing, Gyoumei wishes for Genya to become stronger, and although she is worried about Genya, she watches over him so that he does not die, for Sanemi's sake. Sanemi loves Genya as Tanjirou loves Nezuko. Sanemi is no ordinary human being either. Sanemi is similar in some ways to Tanjirou and Nezuko, so I understand their suffering.
