I'll tell you exactly why. It's because in her earlier life no one took up for her and no one made her feel validated. No one stood up for her or stepped in to protect her. So she learned to deflect any accusation away from herself as a means to protect her own self esteem. She learned not to occupy her mind with her own faults or shortcomings, because, in her childish way, she believes nobody is going to stand up for her but her. Now, I don't know her personally, but it's classic. There's nothing wrong with her memory, it's a self protective thinking pattern. She ain't the first and won't be the last. Everybody probably got somebody like that in their family. They seem like they can't remember what they did, but they'll remember what you did to the smallest detail. That's because they "felt" what YOU did and justified what they did, erasing any personal moral accountability. I think women tend to be more guilty of this than men. Men do other stuff.
