Watching Jimmie Capps accompany acts, like he does so well, sometimes he plays bass runs, sometimes he plays harmonizing chords, and sometimes just picks singles strings in various guitar positions of the same chord. He no doubt had perfect pitch and a hasn't forgotten a single run or lick in his entire career....he was incredible.

These dudes are some great pickers and nice fellas! We need to get them booked here in York County, Pennsylvania. I’m from the Stewartstown are so if anyone around here that might happen to read this let me know if you’re interested in helping me put on a concert. I’ve got at least three venues who said they would host it. I also wanna have an opening act and I want it to be an all ages show so people can bring the youngn’s to enjoy the music! It a long shot as of now but I do have some really good connections in the bluegrass and country scene all over the east coast and through Appalachia.

I want to know if Possum Holler Garage is the one in the George Jones Museum?? If anyone knows would appreciate an answer. Thanks 😊

The Brothers make great country music. The Grand Old Opry is barely 10% country, if even that, these days. Being on the crappy Opry would be moving their career to an outhouse that’s beyond rescue. Story to remember: Eddy Arnold was told he needed the Opry to become a star. Eddy replied “if that was true the Fruit Jar Drinkers would be the biggest act in show business”.

Your voice sounds so much like Merle. I know playing with him that long must’ve influenced you. Louvin’s yes, but I also hear Merle.
