being from South Africa...generally the more educated the women is ,the higher her Lobola will be. Women with kids are generally valued less(hence the Lobola will be lower)....also there is no set amount for lobola, each family decide how much they want for their daughter.
Egypt 😂😂😂 noo we here don’t do that at all not then and not now 😂😂 he was just messing around with your sister as you look South African but we don’t do that here at all 😂❤
Being from South Africa the first segment was hilarious😂😂. Honestly speaking, Lobola was culturally initiated to give the bride's family appreciation for raising their bride and creating relations. So the requirements show how well behaved the bride was before getting married. It's what distinguishes a relationship from Boyfriend and girlfriend from Husband and Wife. I don't agree with "beauty" being part of the requirements though, there are less good looking people worth more than pretty people.
Lobola is a bride price that the groom and his family must give to the bride's family. Usually, the bride's family is the one that sets the price or number of cows. 1 cow is like 9000 or something in South Africa
I just want to say thank you guys for uploading so many of these clips each day. I listen while I’m doing my desk job and it gets me through the day. 😂
@@vncube551 Are you shona or Ndebele? I’m shona and I’m sure my people have not adapted to these changes lol, my aunt has a lobola ceremony in a few months
in my country a long time ago they would cows literally but now they give money, my husband paid about a 1000 dollars to my family. things are changing and soon no one will pay for marriage. i honestly can not wait .
@@shalomesther2215 Would you mind sharing the country? Did you have a say in your marriage? Feel free not to answer these questions if they’re too personal. I’m just curious because I find it wild how differently countries do things.
It’s okay I don’t mind ,I am from Zambia 🇿🇲 Africa,I do have a say in our marriage,we make decisions together, even do house chores together,he doesn’t make me do thing I don’t want to do,he loves and respects me.
@Nnnnnnnn426 the joining of two families A symbol of acceptance, both from the bride and the grooms families The groom pays lobola but with the same money the bride's family does a ceremony called umembeso for the grooms family A very happy event and journey for the families
