Thanks again hunter for everything you did on my nova. Great communication you provided with me while it was being tuned. Hood exit will be in the works to have best of both worlds. Agian, you went above and beyond. Car runs great and ill come back when my chevelle is ready. Thanks for the videos too!
Sweet nova. Love these dyno test vids. You ever watch Garage 4age? Also, forgive me if i'm rude, but ya oughta stop thinking in pounds of boost. Its all about air density when you wanna make power. Keepin intake temps low makes a huge difference and increases density. I seldom see IAT's discussed. I know you're probably already hip, but figured I'd mention it. Late night ramblin for sure. Dogpile chickensmile, have a kickass today and even sweeter morrow my dude.
Yep lbs of boost is just how much restriction the motor can’t easily take in and get out. People done realize that. Usually it’s always cold here in Wisconsin so intake air temps are not usually an issue even with subpar coolers etc. I still may do some videos showing IAT differences. Thanks for your comment
Just a real quick question for the uninitiated here. Does the rap burn up the pipes faster? I've heard the claim I got no dog in this fight I just want your opinion you seem to know what you're talking about.
Don't ditch the muffler, put a boost activated valve on it. They start opening at 2-3 psi and fully open at 6-7. Rad sound full throttle, nice cruiser and no worries about remotes or circuits burning up
Yea, its hard to put that type of exhaust on that car.. i have a 66 nova ss , with a 400 bored 60 over, with a b&m tranny. Many years a go a put a mustang 2 front end clip on it and did a mini tub in the rear with a custom ford 9 inch rear diff. I have a fuel cell in the rear. Tried to keep it a stock as i could. But deff a bit of cutting to put the stainless steel exhaust with borolas. Using msd, and a trans lock for launch control. Gets the new fords off guard every time. My car is set up for nos, but use it only at the track. I ended up putting a roll cage and had to reinforce the body because of the flex. Good luck on your build, it takes alot of work. But in the end its worth it, trial and error.
Great video, I'm relatively new to turbos. Most of what I think that I've learned is from watching RU-vid videos particularly those made by Richard holdener. Wouldn't a set of smaller twin turbos with large catted (to comply with DOT regulations) down pipes 3", 4", or 5" be more free flowing than a single 6" or 7" single ? And a person could still run essentially true duals? I don't know for sure just a thought.
That's like a big ass shot of Nitrous 😜👌🏼🙏🏼🙌🏼 damn I wish every tuner got as happy making someone else alot of power and run correctly as you my friend! Good fucken shit🙌🏼💯
This is the kinda guy that everyone needs to know. Gives it to yoh straight with no filler. Thanks for the vids. Just found out about you but will stay tuned for future installments
Pump may be able to flow more at lower pressure but you’ll have to play around with it a bit. I’d probably do 43 if injector is big enough to support your goal
@@HunterTuned well I will be just starting out so it won’t matter for a while running 4-6psi. Running 210s. I figured lower psi would be more beneficial. thanks for the info.
