Welcome to this tutorial! It was requested by @SleepyStarr, and I decided to make it a full video of all eye rigging I do. If you have any questions or requests, please ask! I’ll try my best to answer them! Time stamps: 0:00 Intro 1:10-6:16 Eye Blink Rig 6:17-8:33 Eye Smile Rig 8:34 Eye Change/Switch Rig 11:52-13:36 Animation 13:36-14:05 Outro
hello again ;-; i am really confused on changing the eyes ;-; and i wanted to do multiple eyes to change to ;-; could i somehow do something in return if you do the rigging for it ;-; please, like maybe an edit or drawing or something? :D Edit: and maybe the hair as well ;-; this would mean a lot to me T-T so if you do see this then do reply so i know whether or not you are willing to do this.
@@aquamufin8783 What exactly do you mean? I'm a bit confused abt what your asking for TvT Sorry for the late response, im in school and had to wait for break-
@@pinkchime8472 it is oki ^-^, i just did not understand how to do it, and you are amazing at doing it so i thought that you could do the eyes for me, and i could give you/make you something in return :D and if you did i would like to have as many different eyes as you are willing to do ^-^ I also thought that you could do the rigging for the hair on my oc as well and i could do something extra for that if you did do the rigging ^-^
@@aquamufin8783 I apologize, but i'm rather busy with work for my AP classes currently - also, I would have no way to get it or send it to you, as I only have youtube - I do not have discord or anything other than youtube- Sorry, i'm just rather short on time and do not know how I would send nor recive the model TvT
Very cool, it helped me a lot, but I missed the PT-BR subtitles that made it very difficult for me to understand. But it was very good, congratulations
I think you should do some more tutorials they r very helpful tho I have a question where and how did you get the exexpressions Lol sorry if im annoying.
I set them up by cutting out the faces from gacha club, just make your entire character the same color as the background as in your canvas (go to hiding the body parts and hide every body part other than the head and face, then take off the mouth and nose, and if your background is purple, make the skin totally purple including the outlines, and set the eyes to whatever you want. Then you can go to your studio area (where u take the screenshots), take the screenshot, and move it to ibispaint. From there, remove the background with the magic wand tool. Repeat for each eye expression you want, I would recommend just adding them onto your character’s psd, then move it all to live 2D and rig it!
@@pinkchime8472 could you do like a mini tutorial on that Lol sorry if I ask to much your the only person with this kind of tutorials but im kinda new to ibis paint so I need like a step by step if you could do it
While there is a way to switch clothing, you can’t fully switch characters, sadly (or at least, to my knowledge)! I can think of a way where you could actually switch to an all new character, but you would have to re-rig every single part, there’s a good chance your reformers would overlap odd and cause issues, and there’s a pretty big chance that it wouldn’t work out due to this 😭 However, if you have a rig you really like, I would suggest saving that rig as a template, and applying it to your other models so that they all have the same rigging style - I know that siege yt has a tutorial on it! Let me know if you have any questions, and good luck!
My first question is, is this in the animation tab, or just when you’re viewing the model? Secondly, are you using different parameters for the movements? For example, the eye movements would only be on the eye parameter, while the X and Y head movements should be on a different one. If they are not on separate parameters, this is most likely the issue - they need to be on separate ones
Another thing you could try is moving the head first, then closing the eye - this should work, it just isn’t correct and may make things look kind of choppy, depending on how the model was rigged. I’d kinda have to be able to take a closer look at the model and how it was rigged to identify a problem, but I’m kinda unsure how I’d be able to see that. Definitely check the first comment I made though, and check if that’s the issue that first! Hope this helped somewhat
It’s a tiny bit hard to explain, as live 2D, for some reason, does not allow that to show up in recording TvT I would recommend just watching my mouse cursor right at the part to find the button - it’s used to set custom parameter points, instead of the usual two or three automatically placed points. Another way to find it is to look at the area with the points that set the two or three parameter points (right above all of the parameters, it’s how you normally set parameters up), then look a bit to the right, and you should find it there. I’m so sorry if that didn’t make sense, it’s really difficult to explain the location :,D
I have a windows laptop! Live 2D should work with almost every computer (as long as it isn’t super old) however, I recommend a newer windows - it seems to work best with the program ^^ On the official Live 2D Cubism website, there should be more information about what the computer needs to have to run Live 2D Cubism properly, so I would recommend checking that out :D
@@-sol-1558 That’s one of my characters, Moon, not me - I don’t really show my persona much, but I’m the girl in the thumbnail - w - Also, I have no idea where Moon fell from, Moon just kinda *f e l l*
