Thank you so much, Pam! I watch a creator here. Her name is Lisa Lisa D1. I love her. She's mostly a fashion channel but she also touches on makeup and lifestyle. She made a video about surrounding yourself by beauty. She gave the example of having a nice pen. Do you ever notice when you have a nice pen, you want to keep it? It feels so nice to hold and it writes smoothly on the paper. It makes us happy. Not because we need it and or that a cheaper pen doesn't get the job done. When I watched her video I started shifting my way of thinking. I don't need nice clothes and I've always only shopped for budget clothing. Now that I've allowed myself to buy a few nice items, I feel so good when I wear them. It puts me in a different mood and when I go out, I think my energy changes because people treat me differently. Not better necessarily, just different. I bought my mom and YSL Candy Glaze lipstick for Christmas. She's not even a makeup person but she always has a little moisture on her lips. She would never buy herself a luxury item like that but I know she'll love the feel of the packaging and the product. I'm excited to give it to her. I know she'll enjoy pulling that out of her purse. I'm so chatty this morning. LOL. I've been writing these long replies to everyone.🤣 I'm procrastinating because my house desperately needs to be cleaned.

Try the color Light in the NYX concleear. I had the same issue. The light color provides more coverage.

OH! OK. Interesting. I find it so hard to judge colours from the drugstore. I think that's just one of the reasons I shop where I can look at and touch the products. I have so many fails from the drugstore in my drawer because I choose the wrong colour or texture.🙄 I've had a lot of recommendations for the Maybelline Fit Me powder too and I haven't purchased because they have a tint and I'm concerned the powder will change the colour of my foundation. Have you tried that one?

I really love Maybelline Fit me powder. I prefer it over many high end powders I own. I've only tried the pressed version but I hear the loose powder is good too. My first time seeing any of your videos and I really enjoyed it. You are lovely. Feel better fast!

I'm not used to that. I haven't bought it because I'm concerned it's going to darken or lighten. my foundation colour. What colour do you have?

@@JulieMeikle They do have a translucent option...shade 100. I really like to use it under my eyes to set my makeup. Heck, if I'm in a hurry I've even used a little of the powder alone under my eyes. I am quite fair so I have bought the next shades up from there also, fair ivory (105) and porcelain (110), and used those. I will add that I do apply the powder with a puff instead of a brush. For some reason that just works better for me.

I have covid bad at the moment and feel so unwell and can’t get out of bed but watching your video was so absorbing and enjoyable it made me feel better for a while. They're beautiful. I must have tried the wrong Elf brow pencil. Or maybe they didn't have my colour at my store. My store has a very small section of Elf. It's frustrating. Where are you from?

I just saw an influencer mention that the Cover girl invisible powder is nice. I do use the Elf loose powder and it isn’t glowy.😊Also the other NYX concealer Won’t stop has more coverage.❤

Ok Julie, I watched your drugstore video yesterday and was thinking about the perfect eyebrow pencil for you and was thinking about two of them but I wanted to retry them today to see which one I thought you’d like best. So I put one on each brow this morning lol, and think you’ll enjoy the maybelline ultra slim brow pencil. It’s not to creamy and the product does not come off when you put the spoolie through your brows. I have light hair like you and the shade blonde works perfectly. Dark enough but not to dark. Has some ash to it. Really nice brow pencil! As for a powder, I agree with another comment that said the Elf halo powder is not to glowy. They also make a pink colored one now that’s nice under the eyes. But covergirl clean fresh pressed powder is amazing for a drugstore powder! I have multiple shades bc I like it under my eyes and all over my face. Highly recommend! Hope this helps❤

I'm going to see if I can find it on Amazon. I would rather buy it from the drug store so I can get points but when I get there, I totally forget what has been suggested to me.🤦‍♀️ Or, I could just write a list. These are always my intentions and then I get distracted.🤣 Did you see the video yesterday? I ended up plucking so many hairs to give myself a brow lift. It wasn't my intension at all but they're really starting to droop so I gave myself a brow lift. I've been wanting to do it for a long time and I finally did it. I love it. Thank you for your suggestion. I honestly feel cared for a little. The fact that you took time to test both products is honestly so sweet. We would be friends if we lived closer.

@@JulieMeikle Awe thanks! That was very nice to say! I never used to buy the blonde eyebrow pencils either bc I’ve had some in the past that were to light or to warm. But the maybelline blonde shade is great! I do the same thing when I’m out shopping. It’s almost like you get so excited and maybe a little flustered once you get in there and totally forget what your there to buy😂😂. I started making lists in my notes app. It’s been so helpful when I’m out shopping. Even for groceries. No I haven’t watched the video from yesterday yet but I will. I need to do that to my brows!! Love this eye look! I’m going to try it. I have tried many drugstore powders. I was always looking for a powder to set my under eye that didn’t darken my concealer and the only one I have found that doesn’t do that is the Pat McGrath translucent powder. Pricey, but in my opinion, very worth it. Hope you’re feeling better!❤

@@mary66714 I hope I can help. I need to know what you're prepping your undereyes with first of all and also think about how soon after you prep your skin, are you applying the concealer. If you apply concealer on top of a creamy area, it's going to mix with the formula of the concealer and make it slip. Also, it will depend on the type of concealer you are using. I use serum and my moisturizers as soon as I get out of the shower or right after I wash my face so it's had time to sink in before I use my concealer. I also typically use a concealer that has a self setting action to it. It doesn't mean it won't crease and doesn't need to be set with a light dusting of powder but they have a less chance of moving. Another thing to consider is how much you're using. Sometimes we tend to use much more than we need. I do that often and when I press my fingers under my eyes some of the concealer will transfer onto my fingers which isn't a bad thing. A sponge can have the same effect. Too much concealer may make it crease. And don't forget, creasing is normal. I assume you smile a lot and it's just a fact that product will move a touch. It's like your lipstick. These are two areas we have to touch up through the day. Let me know what products you are using now.

Hi Julie, my routine in the morning is after my shower I put on from Peter Thomas Roth either the eyepatches or the eye serum my daily moisturizing cream and then let it stay for good 20 to 30 minutes before I put on my primer for under the eyes and face, let it stay for another 5 to 10 minutes before I put on the make up and concealer. I have very dry skin under the eyes, so maybe if you can give me some hints of which product would be the best for me I would be very grateful. Have a nice day and hope to hear from you soon 🤗😘 Mary

Thank you, Barbara! Where are you from? I need to shop at different stores. At my local drug store we have a very small selection of Elf. It's hard to find the proper colour for me. Even the Wow Brow only has two colours which are too dark for me.

I'm 52 years old. It definitely is considered "mature skin" but I know it's different than 70 year old skin. I've also had skin treatments like microneedling, radio frequency and I started getting botox in my 11's when I was 30 years old. My husband at the time liked to stretch my wrinkles out on my forehead with a sad face. 🤦‍♀️ I like to be open about treatments. I never want a woman to compare their skin to mine and wonder why there's looks different. Thank you so much for the nice compliment. I love working with older women. I love working with all ages but especially older women. I just had an online session with a woman your age two weeks ago. It took us a couple of hours of dissecting her routine and products she was using to get to the reasons why she wasn't liking her makeup. More often than not, the foundation is too light and is the wrong texture. What's your favourite foundation? Is there anything you'd like me to talk about in my videos?
