The inner corner highlight will never be out of style for me! This look is so pretty! I love sunset inspired colors and I think it is perfect for the summer-fall transition!! The support for customer service workers at the end was so kind and thoughtful. You can tell a lot about a person by the way they treat servers, cashiers, etc!!
Yess I'm so happy with drugstore videos because I can actually afford them without breaking the bank! And I love that you always wish everyone well, you are so kind 🥰
I'm saving your video for my lunch break at work tomorrow. It will be the bright spot in my 16 hour shift at the hospital. COVID plus holiday means super busy stressful. This will be my happy place tomorrow.
Oh wow I can't even imagine how stressful this time has been for you. I hope that you will be able to get some time off soon. Thank you for all that you do to keep others safe and healthy. ❤️
Absolutely love watching you apply a full face of makeup. You are so talented and create such beautiful looks. My new favorites are $4 essence eyeshadow palettes. I used the green one today and it’s stunning.
I, like many others, aren’t crazy about huge palettes, but the variety in this one is so nice. Which is why I often don’t bother with large palettes because I feel like there’s usually so many similar colors but this one really does have variety and is really tempting me. Especially that look you did with it the other day 😍😍
I completely agree with you about finding the things that work for you and sticking with them. My example is more in fashion than makeup but I love the way skinny jeans look on me and I don't care whether bell bottoms or boot cut or any other style comes back in. I will continue to wear my skinny jeans, as long as I can find them to purchase. 🤷🥰💗 Thanks for doing what you do and I hope you've had a wonderful weekend! Take care and big hugs, k 🫂
I saw some swatches of the It's a Mood palette from CP and apparently it has many (if not all) of the shades from their Raw Beauty Kristy palette. So in case, someone didn't manage to get your hands on that palette, you folks can check this one out!
Interesting that you mention people being not so nice this past year! I'm a healthcare worker and I've had some horrible encounters with people over mask wearing in a very close contact environment! Thank you for mentioning it and for talking about it
I've been reading Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. His books are more somber but his writing style is intoxicating. I also bought 100 Years of Solitude by Marquez so I'm pretty excited to start that one
Andrea- You're so pretty ❤️ My 12yo soon and I just ordered this palette to share. I love the left side and he's into the darker ones on the right. It's the first large Colourpop palette I've bought so I'm glad it's good quality 👍
When you mentioned the inner corner highlight, I still do it all the time haha it suits my eye shape and makes me look much more awake I think. Love the look of that palette I already have a colourpop order on its way to me in the UK but might have to place another so can get that, so pretty!
I just got done reading The Better Half: On the Genetic Superiority of Women by Sharon Moalem. It’s super interesting stuff about why women live longer than men and survive things like covid and cancer better than men. And why women are more susceptible to autoimmune disease. It’s fascinating stuff and very approachable science.
I recently finished The Last Thing He Said To Me. It's a lowkey thriller with a narrator you can't trust (but no murder or gruesome description in it). I totally still like the inner highlight too. It really helps my eyes look more awake.
I am 52. I have been wearing makeup since I was 15 and I have ALWAYS used a white or shimmery color on the inner corner of my eye. Sometimes a little further in and up to brighten the area, other times just in the corner. Do what you like and be your own trend.
Thank you for this video! Loved getting to see the new Colour Pop palette in action and hear your thoughts. I am with you on the inner corner highlight! I have very dark under eye circles and I feel like I need to do everything I can to brighten up my eyes and make me look awake!
Please do more GRWM videos !!! I always love your makeup looks in ALL your videos !! 🤗❤️✨😁 Using your already existing products!! Urban Decay : Honey,…. Etc etc and older palettes…. PLEASE ! 🙂
this was the perfect pick me up during my lunch!! I work at ulta and I finally have a solid 4 days off this weekend and I couldn't be happier!! loved this video also the jcat prism shadows are MAGIC you would definitely like them!!
I’ve been on a no buy for a couple months now, but it’s my birthday month soooo I feel like it’s a good excuse to buy myself something 😂 surprisingly I picked up the Natasha Denona Love palette which was on sale on Sephora for only 32 dollars. I was loving the catrice foundation but now the shade I have is too light and haven’t been able to get a tanner shade so I switched back to my colourpop pretty fresh foundation which is also chefs kiss 💋
I'm currently shopping of the FFF website on your invite right now. I'm actually buying Christmas presents, getting ahead with some fantastic deals!! As for bronzer, I am trying to use up my Maybelline City bronzer. The lightest shade, 100, is perfect for my super fair skin. I will be moving onto a CF options when I hit pan on it. As for the NYX butter glosses, my all time favorite is Fortune Cookie. It is a milky shade that tones down a bright lipstick. I keep a back up because i'm scared they will stop making it!! I love these kinds of videos!❤️
Love this! I also love the jcat aqua surance powder foundation it’s amazing as a setting powder and adds quite a bit of coverage if your foundation isn’t as full coverage as you want!
I agree-- if you find a makeup style you like and it makes you feel beautiful, wear it. Some trends just aren't for everyone. I look washed out in matte nudes but great in less trendy colours and finishes. It's ok, frosted lipstick will come back in fashion and then I'll be all set and on trend 😀
I love this! That ColourPop palette is on my list to pick up. It really got my attention when I saw it in a new makeup video. I haven’t been on Instagram for a week. It’s hard but I have to stop buying everything I see on there. If it’s on sale I’ll get it. I love a bright inner corner! I don’t care what’s in or not, if I like it I’m wearing it! I love this video so much! Thank you
Dang chica! What a GORGEOUS look!! 😍 I love your GRWMs. You don't do them that often so it's an absolute treat when you do, it's like visiting with an old friend 😊 Great video with some really good recommends! I've totally just added a couple of products to my list of things I wanna try out. My wallet and I thank you for showcasing affordable products 😂😂 I don't highlight the inner corners of my eyes bc it doesn't look good on me 😓 (my inner corners are kinda downturned so idk, imo it looks really odd when they're highlighted). Which sucks 😩 bc I LOVE the look! It looks sooo beautiful on other people, I'm actually highkey jealous of those who can pull it off 😒😅 So what I do instead is I highlight right above my inner corner.. above and a lil further away from my nose (I hope that makes sense, I can't say "above and to the right" bc it would be above and to the left on my left eye lol), it's kind of in the hollow curve of my orbital bone, but just a tiny smidge towards my ear.. like right where my eyeball begins, if that makes any sense. (Lol I'm realizing how hard it is to describe the placement! So much easier to just show someone! 😆) Anyway, I'll take my ELF eye crease brush ($2, it's one of the ones with a white handle. I find it's the best brush in my collection to use to get a small, circular shape), load up the top of it and dot my shadow (I've never tried this with a matte or bright pop of color. I always do it with a silverish/champagne/gold/pinky highlighter-type/shimmery color. Hmm... I'm wondering how either of those would look.. now I gotta experiment! 😂) in the spot I described and then, depending on the shade, I use the same to highlight my brow bone. I find it really pretty, even if I think the traditional inner corner placement is prettier and has a more brightening effect (on other people) overall. Ya gotta work with what ya got, right? Another thing I do differently (I've actually seen more and more people doing this these days, which is so funny to me bc I've always done my makeup like this) is leave my bottom lash bare. I very rarely put eyeshadow there bc a really blown out lower lash also doesn't look the greatest on me, so I usually just add some eyeliner to my water line and call it a day. If I do decide to add some shadow to my bottom lash it can't get too big or blown out so I usually keep it to a light color, but then you run into the problem of it not even being noticeable bc the color is so light 😑 Honestly, trying to pull off a well-blended look in such a small area can be more trouble than it's worth, so 9.9 times out of 10 I just forgo the option. Just thought I'd share my technique in case anyone else has run into the same issues. Ok, I've rambled long enough, sry for the essay!! Lol Andréa, I swear I had only intended to tell you how much I love your videos! 🤣 Hope you had a great week and have an even better weekend!! Stay safe!!
Such a beautiful look! I second the green comment. Would love to see you do multiple color themed looks with the It's a Mood palette. Yes. 💗💜🧡💚 P.S. Book I recently read that was excellent is The Alice Network. It's a historical fiction novel about female spies during WWI but looking back from the perspective of characters in the post-WWII era. Incredible writing.
These are my absolute favorite videos!!! You are one of my RU-vidr!!! 💖💖💖 I went out and bought the It's a Mood palette when you talked about in your September releases. I'm so glad you're going to be doing more looks with this palette.
I love those J.cat beauty eyeshadow palettes too! Some other great products from them are the Pris-Metal Chrome Eye Mousses, Glitter Glue, AquaSurance Powder Foundation (I use for setting my under eyes or if my foundation looks too dry before setting powder), You Glow Girl baked highlighters and Mallow Blushes.
Love the look Peewee soccer is the best. Good family fun for all & the adults end up laughing all game at the cute things the kids do. Spring ball is extra cute when they suddenly stop playing to go pick a flower they just saw. ;)
I am loving the more colorful look on you today!!! I was eyeing this pallette during the sale this weekend and now I’m having serious fomo ….still time to change my mind lol 😂
That is a beautiful eye look. Love it. I ordered this palette already! Just waiting for it to come. I am a hs teacher and we go back to school on Wednesday in ny state. Need some inspiration. And love inner corner highlight! 💕. And am obsessed with all things fall. My bday is in October. Love all things pumpkin too!!
I am so happy that you are doing some eye looks with the CP It's a Mood palette. I've got mine on order. I cannot WAIT for it to arrive. I use my fingers for shimmer shadows too. Great video!
I’ve been wanting to try the Catrice foundation, heard great things about it. Ohh that CP palette looks beautiful and fall like! I’m so excited for fall, it’s my favorite time of the year 🍂🍁. I love the eyes, beautiful as always!
I think the Catrice foundation could work for nearly everyone. I have dry skin and I love it! It is matte, but not super matte. It's more of a satin matte finish. However, I use super dewy products underneath. So much so that I have to set the foundation lol but I love that because I can't use my dewy foundations over those products. It would never set down!
I just got the Milani baked bronzer a couple of weeks ago and I've used it almost every day since! I also have their silky matte bronzer which I also love. I just got Iconic London bronzer in my boxycharm and I really like that one to! You're beautiful! 💖 Also I still do the inner corner highlight almost every day!
The green eyeshadow look took my heart. Really enjoyed watching you doing make with these affordable products. I was on a walk when your video popped up n I couldn't wait to go home and watch it so I just played it and was listening to you while walking lol!! Keep coming up with affordable stuff 😊😊
I absolutely loved the audiobook Anxious People by Fredrik Backman. He is a Swedish author but his work has been translated into a ton of languages. I’ve loved everything he has written.
@@AndreaMatillano I do more medium-full coverage makeup even though light is “in.” Still do my brows the same way as 2016… lots of old trends are still in my routine
I know tutorials seem to not get many views but I would LOVE to see more looks from you with the Mood palette. Maybe not a 3 Looks 1 Palette video (although I would LOVE that) but maybe incorporate the palette when you review other stuff like in this video :) I was really excited when this come out but I will pause on purchase for this year and focus on my collection - pray for me to stay strong during the holidays haha
I’m dogsitting this weekend, as well as celebrating my mom’s birthday (happy Virgo season haha) and I have work on Monday despite Labor Day so while that’s a bummer I’m going to try to have a pretty fun and relaxing weekend.
I really want it but mostly because it looks like a cinnamon sugar cookie to me. I don’t use bronzers very much though so I’ve not gotten it ;-; it looks beautiful on others though
I hit the dollar store and picked up all kinds of fall and Halloween decorations to start getting fall ready. My dollar store always has eye shadow brushes from elf and Wet N Wild. I always pick up a couple of them. On Amazon under 1 dollar items they have Wet N Wild eye shadow brushes of a dollar to $1.12. If I need a dollar or two to get free shipping I throw a couple of the brushes in my order also. I hate washing my brushes so the more the better to have on hand.
I hear you! I'm really dreading washing all of my makeup brushes because it takes me forever to get through them! I need to pick up a few fall decorations because I'm so ready for the fall season!
@@AndreaMatillano I can wash mine pretty quick by taking a handful of brushes at a time, spraying them with the cleaner, wetting them and swirling them in my palm to lather. Then rinse the bunch, then spend more time individually drying them on a towel. Then I lay them on a towel at a slope and let them dry. Washing them by the handful is so much faster.
Have a great weekend mama. I’m excited to have the next 3 days off. I’m a healthcare worker and it’s been crazy this past week so hopefully I don’t get any calls 🤞🏼 have a great weekend
Enjoyed the get ready with me I have the BH Belgian waffle bronzer and highlight palette. It is so good. I sometimes use the darkest shade for blush. I have already hut pan on my favorite shade so I bought AA backup. I love love the butter glosses. I have so many they have really nice red shades and they were so inexpensive!
I love press on nails and have been wearing them for a couple years now. I recommend kiss impress and dashing diva brands if you’re looking to try any other brands 🥰🎉
I always love your GRWM videos!! I’m excited to see your Fall looks & would LOVE to see you recreate the green look you showed from the new ColourPop palette. I hope that you have a wonderful weekend & a safe holiday!! 💙 🇺🇸 ❤️
I’m currently readying The Plot by Jean Hanff Korelitz. Also recently read We Are All the Same in the Dark by Julia Heaberlin. I read the first Hank Green book too, and have the second ready to go. Also on my list is White Ivy by Susie Yang. Love how pretty your look turned out today! 🎃I’m so ready for fall, too. It’s cooled down into the 70s here in Michigan and I’m loving it.
People don’t do it as much these days, but I think tight lining and water lining my eye with black looks really nice personally and on a lot of people actually. I find light waterline colors can look kind of gummy or weird personally and I just love the sort of sultry or grungy look it can give.
I totally agree it shouldn't matter what everyone else likes it's what works for you and what you like and what feels good for you that should be the trend always and forever it's fun to try new things and take bits and pieces out of fast fashion but I think it's silly to try and follow in stay up to date I guess it's literally impossible to do forever you can only do that for so long and in the end you're going to choose what you like anyways so why not do it now don't wait till you're old doing that lesson
