It looked metallic on camera 😬 they don’t last long do they? I only tried one product from them, their liquid lips and I wasn’t a fan, they were streaky, and wore off weird and fast

@@user-ky9mc9ff2v not metallic, had an interesting sheen though! since they're balmy glosses, they aren't totally meant to be super long wearing, but they wear nicely considering the type of formula 😀

The Rare Beauty blushes are actually really great for people with darker skin tone! I feel like there is always complaining about how pigmented they are but that’s actually amazing for deeper skin tones

Agree!! I think it can be slightly frustrating when I see this as a WOC because although I appreciate it's more difficult to work with if you're lighter, you can still use it. The same can not always be said about the reverse tbh

exactly what i was thinking! deeper skin tones should not need to use triple the product to get an effect. lighter tones just need to learn to use less

Rare beauty has some incredible shades for fair skin. That's what's amazing about them as well, it's inclusive! My favorite shade is bliss, and it's my favorite blush. So long wearing and the color is just gorgeous. Fair skin people like me just need to pick from the appropriate colors available for light skin tones instead of assuming that we can always wear every color lol

God I’m such a big fan of the aesthetic of both of these brands. Em also pushed me to try more Korean makeup rather than just skincare and I love it. If you like Em Cosmetics, I highly recommend rom&nd, if you can order it in Canada. Really amazing quality and modern formulas.

I bought EM cosmetics products and the duties & shipping is insane! Not worth it! The cushion is terrible- it is not soft, too light & extremely patchy.

For international shipping for orders above 100 the shipping is capped at 10.99 which I thought wasn't too bad. Ordering an eye palette, a blush and a bronzer or some lip products would get you to 100 pretty easily

I love this so much!! These are the 2 brands (+ Kosas) that make up my small makeup collection at home and i love the products so much 🥺 they are all so high quality and easy for amateurs like me to use! I'm so surprised you didn't mention the em cosmetics micro fluff sculpting eyebrow cream! It's an all time favorite! I used to fill in my brows with a powder at the tail and then use the boy brow to hold it in place, NOW I just use the the micro fluff! It fills and sets everything in place! All time favorite ~ highly recommend❤

I wish there was audio of my reaction to each product because I truly gasped each time you applied a product. For the eyeshadow I actually said out loud "omg that looks so soft". The topper, "wow, so pretty", and when you said I hope you guys can see that, I replied, "yes I can". The fact that all these products went on so well and went together so beautifully made it so satisfying.

Dry skin girl here. I am Bing eqayxuing your videos lol. I'm not usually a loose powder person either, but for longwear it is useful. I find that using a damp sponge really helps in applying it way better for our skin type. Thanks for your content 🥰

Hi, dearest! Rodin’s name is pronounced like “rowed-ON.” He’s a French (?) sculptor, and his name is said w the French pronunciation :) Edit: And “Rococo” is “ROW-co-co” and “Baroque” is “bah-row-ck.” Took me ages to learn all my art history terms/pronunciations

I feel silly asking, but do they say it correctly in Beauty and the Beast? When Cogsworth makes the joke about “if it’s not Baroque, don’t fix it”? That’s the only place I’ve heard it pronounced

I love this video concept! I've tried a few things from Em Cosmetics and really loved them, and am curious to try more. And I definitely want to give some of those Rare Beauty items a try. PS - Baroque is a style of music, architecture, and art and is pronounced BAH-ROKE. It rhymes with broke, which is why there are a lot of puns to that effect! Like, "I would go Bach to the store so much, I would go baroque from spending so much."

I think this is a great idea!! Since there are often ingredients people are allergic to, if you focus on two brands, there would likely be something for everyone. Plus, I like the focus on a couple of brands. It’s difficult to keep track of a variety of single products from a variety of different brands.

I decluttered my rare beauty blushes. The liquid blushes are very difficult to blend and I’ve tried sponges, fingers, brushes….prefer cream blushes. Love em cosmetics Eyeshadow, lip, and heavenly blush formulas are incredible.

I love this video format. 🤗 I haven’t tried either brand but I’ve always been interested in Em Cosmetics. It’s not available in Australia but I think I can buy from their website as long as the shipping isn’t too expensive. 🥰 I’ve always thought some rival brands are Nars & MAC, Laura Mercier & Bobbi Brown, By Terry & Chantecaille.

I've heard a few people say Rodin is darker than it seems and you can build it up. The Em pick me up is my favorite mascara rn but I know it's not for everyone. I like it more as it gets drier though. I get volume from it by doing like three coats lol. It might sound extra but I usually do two coats of mascara anyway

Have you tried the Athr Beauty palettes? Especially the Desert one and the Rose Quartz one, I think you'd love them. I don't wear foundation, but I'm intrigued by the one featured. Might try it. Cream products are so underrated, but they truly are some of the best. I have to try these blushes and that cream highlighter ASAP.
