I think it's supposed to be paired with the Ultraviolet. I agree with Angie in that I think this was supposed to be the "safe duochrome", but I also agree with you... it missed the mark. I wish they played CyberPunk2077 AT LEAST and copied some of those looks. Even then that's just a chip in the Cyber Aesthetic Iceberg, but at least that's SOME thought.
AHHHH Thank you for doing this with me! I Wish I could say it was fun BUT..... 😂 PS Ive been using the Huda Glowish powder as a bronzer and I LOVE it there!
The cheese grater comparison for that nyx lipstick is SO accurate. My friend bought me a bright red one for my birthday last year and I tried it on that night and when I tell you that I spent the next 3 hours trying to scrape it off, my lips were raw and still red by the end of it, I could not handle it 🤣
This is the exact experience I had with the Loreal Infallible Pro-Matte Liquid Lipstick! The staying power was incredible! That shit didn’t go anywhere! But even an oil-based makeup remover didn’t get it off…the removal process was long and horrible and not at all worth the long wear!
The glowish powder as a finishing powder is heaven!! Especially for someone who needs/wants a matte base but a glowy look without dew! Especially if you are going to want a pretty sheen vs a greasy one (ESPECIALLY in Texas summers!!!!)
Symphony of disappointment is my new favorite phrase! On another note, I use a finishing powder as a bronzer all the time! I started after getting a shade that was too dark for my ghost self, and I love the outcome more than an actual bronzer on my 40 year old skin!
I love that you give duds a second chance! When I went into Ulta not too long ago, I saw the Urban Decay Cyber palette and my first thought was “Wow, that’s even more underwhelming in person.” 🤣
I did the same thing. I walked in and even swatched some of the colors, and I was super underwhelmed. I have one palette that I bought for like $10 at a yard sale it was never used, packaging was never opened, and I opened that and I was underwhelmed. I see so many people talking about the naked 2 palette, but I low key hate it, high key don’t wanna get rid of it because I got it for $10. Does that make sense?
The UD Cyber palette should have been called the Butterfly Wings palette... It's just a wishy-washy palette... I still think that the best UD palette, and the only one worth having, is the Born to Run. 😎✌🏼💜💜💜
I’m surprised to see the Shiseido foundation as I found it really good! I love watching Morgan too! All the eyeshadow palette videos from both of you are so fun to watch!
I’m just here for the analogies and metaphors! The images you create with words are absolute perfection! 👌🏻 Also, the only “duds” I tried is when I forget who I am when purchasing something and get an item for the person I thought I could be… and I never use it 🙃 I listen to advices from you and other, but I forget to listen to myself sometimes 😂
I’d love to see you and a few other people use the same products in a live together. I think that has the potential to be really interesting, especially if you divided up who picked the hated product, since I know some most hated products are others most loved. (Like that KVD foundation.) It’d be interesting to see a bunch of people reacting to each other using the same product at the same time.
I love your sweaters. I can't wait til vlogs come back, because I love when you talk about fashion... and in a new place you'll have a lot of different options now! You can get away with thinner cardigans! Again, I love the way you talk about makeup. Edit: Angie, try spraying the brow freeze with water. I felt the same way, and someone in the comments suggested I spray with water... and now I'm almost out of it. The water activates it to be more like an actual hair gel, and it doesn't try flakey, and when it's activated it's smoother to brush through your hair so it's not yanking hair out. I wish I could remember her user name, because she was so awesome, so if you remember telling me to spray it with water thank you!
I tried those l'oreal matte lipsticks that smell like hot chocolate. OMG 1 second passes and it looks like dry concrete on my lips crumbling everywhere and the colour also looked like concrete. Def my worst product lol.
@@NaNaTT549 not really, they work perfectly on me, but every person is different. If you have dry lips you have to prepare them, it's not like jumping whatever 🙂
So.... I like the nyx liquid lipstick because it's really immovable, glossy, opaque, and I only have to apply the gloss after eating (it lasts well on me for some reason) I think it's not worth the hassle for nude colors, but for a bright green or a bright blue totally worth it.
I have that synchro skin radiant foundation, it's sitting in my drawer, ignored, do I regret buying it? Yes, it makes me look older than my nearly 35 years!! I'll probably end up decluttering it.
i’m soooo happy that you and morgan collabed together. i adore you both and i love how incredibly different you are, but yet you’re verrrry similar. i still think you look absolutely beautiful, even with these crappy products. 💙💙💙
i totally agree w that nyx long stay lip . They have that product since 3years ago but went viral only until recently.. i don't like that product... easily goes bad too and it stinks when it does .
I hope ABS listens to its customers about that highlighte and makes a new one and comes out with an entire range for everyone, including those who have cool undertones.
Ok, so I'm here to admit that not only is the ud cyber palette on my Christmas wish list but that I've already received it. In my defence, I want it for a specific reason - I want a bunch of satins and pretty mid to light colours with the occasional bit of sparkle as a wash of one shadow colour on the lid for work days. While the shadows I own are beautiful and colourful, light washes they aren't really... I'm pale and freckled with auburn hair so the warm light colours suit the purpose Edited to add: the synchro skin radiant is my mum's fave foundation (she's late 60s and has embraced her wrinkles)
I would suggest trying to press upp/roll upp the brows to laminate them after using the brow freeze. You can use anything but i use the handle on a small makeup brush!🥰
Stay Safe Angie over there. It’s a hot mess here on the East Coast. Thinking of you and Ricardo for safe travels to here in the US. Hugs! BTW Unearthly needs to have you as their top influencer. I am sure you are being tagged left and right. You are the 🦄 ❤️🤡
So interesting how people can have different experiences with the same product...I just got the Milk hydro-grip primer & LOVE IT. Wore a duochrome shadow yesterday for 12+ hours with no creasing & almost no fading at all. I was actually a terrible person & slept in my makeup...the eyeshadow still looks good this morning!!! I have oily skin, and normally this kind of shadow would be GONE.
I love the ultra creamy concealer (but not the original shape tape, so dry), made my under eyes look smooth and didnt need to set it. it's so weird how different makeup can be for people 😊
I bought (1) of those Coulor Pop Syrum Blushes, used it 2x's-HATED IT-haven't used it since! So patchy, and your right Angie! It looks like a damn rash on my skin!
The NYX liquid lipstick is one of the copies that came out of the original product, which is from an MLM company: Senegence. From bigger brands, I’ve heard that the best version is from Chanel.
Let's call this video 'Angie gets frustrated and sassy with inanimate objects', I would give up after two crappy products, but a full face??? Girl, I admire your stubborness. XD
I bought a palette that made me look bruised around the eyes. It looks beautiful on others but makes me look beat up. I also avoided the Fenty Eaze drops by trying it out at the store. It made my skin look like a flat desert plain.
Thank u so much for this video Angie...i felt your pain and i bet that if u had the time that u started again before meeting your friend for drinks! People rave about these products and i always watch yours, morgans, Nikki and Amy for the truth! love Alli x
I bought very few items this year, partly thanks to your and other RU-vidr reviews, but I got one real dud - Colourpop's BFF mascara. I got tempted by the pretty burgundy color, but when it arrived it was a dry and clumpy mess. Never again!
I had a horrible experience with that shisedo foundation. It looked cakey, it lasted only 3 hours before it broke down, even with powder and setting spray. But other influencers have it in their favourite foundations.
I never really got the hang of feathery brows, but I watched a video of someone doing their brows in this style and found that when they used a brow gel/wax, they pressed them down against their skin before adjusting the top hairs with a spoolie to form the shape they want/follow the arch of their brow. I couldn't really tell if you were doing that when trying out the Anastasia Brow Freeze (it seemed that you were just brushing the product up through the hairs), but maybe the technique of pressing them down would make it work better? Although, it may create a more laminated brow effect, which I'm not sure you're going for.
I bought both those palettes Doja cat , UD, cyber. Returned them both. My experience with UD is their pigment is pretty Meh! I have many BH ,they are almost always great.
Worst for me this year were Natasha Denona foundation (not lasting and even patchy with my 12h work in hospital), Tom Ford quads (at list 4 of them no quality, no pigment no nothing), Physicians Formula bronzer (patchy), Elf CC cream (pure cement), Colourpop feather brow pen (died before finishing it's work), Milani baked blushes (can't make them work for me, I know a lot of people love them) and some Colourpop face quads (not good but for the shock highlighter on them), Charlotte Tilbury pillow talk lipstick (so drying). Those I decluttered all of them and found them another drawer (not another home because my daughter was volunteer to get them all).
I’m not chemist but when I hear serum it tells me it should provide some kind of benefits to your skin. What they were thinking with serum blush that usually goes on top of foundation. Why? How? Through foundation? I have serum foundation full of actives… and I would not say it can do what it says it will. I would not even expect it to perform some kind of miracle on my skin so I’m wondering why serum blush? Whatever I’m thinking too much about it. (I have not read ingridients…) but the fact it separates so quickly looks like they tried to mix oils with liquids. Again I’m not chemist. Here I am confused by blush. I have not tried anything that could be called fail this year thanks to RU-vidrs like Angelica.
I didn't try any dudes this year or last year ! Because I just went on [ Automatically intentional low buy ] and I had a reason to what I brought to my collection of belongings !! I made a weak color decision tho when I bought Oden's eye lip cream in Poppy Girl because it's a creamy beautiful red & it's smearing all over my face , I wish I got a softer color instead, but guess what !!! Blotting that color gives the most glowy tint to the lips I didn't know I'd love !!! This year I got 5 palettes, 4 lipsticks , 1 blush & 1 repurchase of an old foundation! All good 💜💫💫
You're so lovely, you could smear mud on your face as makeup and still look good.💗 Loved this video. You could visibly see the milk primer eating up the black eyeshadow 😮. I really like the Glowish tint mixed with a matte foundation...too glowy for me on its own.🤷♀️🙃 Xo
@@HollyG6 that makes sense 💗 matte foundations can be harsh. I have an oily t-zone and I am yet to find a foundation that lasts for more than 3/5 hours on my nose without an incredible amount of powder.😩..xo
I'm so excited that your moving so close to me hahaha even though that doesn't matter but still haha I have never had one of my favorites be in the same state as me.
I like the nyx shine louds but I only use a little bit of the gloss and I don't have to reapply it that often. Idk the couple I have work for me. I guess that's just how makeup is, it works for some and doesn't for others.
Are we sure that Milk primer is indeed an Eye Primer and not a lip primer? 😂 I’m curious if you plan on trying the Juvia’s Place brow pen? I think it is a felt tip, but the colors in it seem better for me personally because I’ve tried a couple shades on the NYX one but they both are way too cooled tone and turn green on me 😩
I loveeee Milk Makeup however… that primer is not it. I wound rather not use a primer and I have naturally oily eye lids. “I was rooting for you, we were all rooting for you!”
That NYX lip didn’t even last on me the colour I got looked separated so I tried mixing it but it just peeled on patches of my lips n stuck to others and it couldn’t have been out of date as it was a new product release when I got it just terrible stuff for me!
Yes I have oily eyelids and people recommended using the original face primer on the eyes but then I saw the new eye primer version and thought it would be great so I got it. Oh I was wrong. I keep forgetting to try the original one but people said if I put it under a concealing base it will hold it in place all day. Although to be fair the Gerard Cosmetics clean canvas base works amazing on it's own, but I got it in a subscription box as it doesn't seem to be for sale in the UK so I will be upset when it runs out.
I found that colourpop cheek serum blush only works well in the summer for me....in the summer when I'm more tan, I'm always hot and sweaty I just cannot wear powder formulas or liquid to powder...I usually just use a cream bronzer and a hint of concealer and that's about it otherwise I sweat and everything else gets icky on my face.....I found the cheek serums actually work really nice for sweaty summer skin 😄 it does not play well with powders and other products, so if all you want is a bit of flushed glow across your cheeks and don't want they weird sweaty makeup look this is a great product bc it doesn't sweat off like everything else!!! Pat on with your finger tips and it will blend in nicely and just look fresh and glowy (I promise), but used in any other way, like you I'm like eww no this is patchy, oily it will lift your makeup underneath, it will feel sticky mixed with your powder products and doesn't look good bc then it just get blotchy and uneven. So for this reason I will ONLY use it in the summer bc its been so far the best cheek product to beat the summer heat and sweat! I dunno I feel like it just gels with your Natural body oils and when you break out into the kind of sweat that starts to bead up on your forehead in thebsummer humidity it doesn't get funky like alot of other face products get. You may want to hold onto 1 and test it out once you experience that Texas heat and you don't want product slapped on your face, it seriously went from ewww to oh wow!!! And being just about the only thing I would use on my face for most the summer, especially if I knew I would be outside for any length of time.
