Hey guys! Today I wanted to peruse through my makeup collection again and shop through my makeup stash and test out some new and old makeup. Lets do this! To clarify, the part in the video where I say “physicians formula makeup is just normal makeup” apparently it was created by a doctor for his wife that had sensitive skin, hence Physicians Formula. The products contain good ingredients, but aren’t like “medicated” per se. just formulated originally for sensitive skin.

Mail Mandi Beauty I went to three CVS stores before I found one that had some. And I snagged three! Color-wise it’s fantastic, but the formula feels really... dry? Then again, I’m only used to Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks which are extra-creamy. Quite a price difference though! So I’m using Mochalicious to just add a little depth.

Video suggestion: Jackie Aina did a tutorial on how to get makeup to stay on your nose. I think you should follow it and see if it works, especially since this seems to be a problem area. I know it is for me too!!!

Most people say to use a thick paste-like concealer or an eyeshadow primer on your nose under your foundation and it actually tends to work for me so I would try that! 😊

I feel like sometimes that much foundation isn’t needed unless you have a pigmentation problem in that area, I decided to only put a super light layer on forehead and nose to elongate my look and it works for me

It completely works, too. Blurring primer followed by buffing in light coat of powder foundation or setting powder, then regular foundation. It looks like skin and lasts really well....UNLESS you have a sneezing fit and have to blow your nose. I always carry a powder foundation compact because, alas, I sneeze all the time.

I have tried a technique that Jackie Aina recommends that felt soooooo wrong but worked soooooooooo well....I put on a primer and then powdered my nose BEFORE I put on my foundation...... WORKS AMAZINGLY!!!

Love these shop my stash vids! It helps me see a lot of “non-new” makeup. I’m new to the makeup game - my first ever palette was the JefreeStar x Shane Dawson Conspiracy palette, so I have a lot of learning. I also love the range of your complexion products. I love when you do the "shop my stash" videos bc you actually show the process of going through things & making the decision of what you're going to use. You don't just go in your makeup room & go "ok, this this & this". I love these type of videos. I'm happy to see influencers using what they have and moving away from gross consumerism. I don't really care about new launches anymore and I'm happier seeing this kind of thing as it shows you dont need the newest makeup for your makeup to be beautiful. I have a problem where I just buy makeup to look at it lmao I rarely wear makeup, but my reasoning is always “what if I start again?! Plus the packaging is so pretty!” I usually wind up donating a bunch every 6 months though because I have a rule that if it’s unopened after 6 months then I must not have really wanted to use it and someone else could use it more.

Physicians Formula isn’t “regular makeup” per say. The name of the brand is because a doctor’s (physician’s) created it. His wife has a lot of allergies and sensitive skin and she said she got a lot of reactions from stand of the mill cosmetics, so, he created the formulas and brand so she could use makeup again!

I loved the combo of matte lips and matte eyes with just a hint of shimmer from the gold eyeliner! It’s a nice juxtaposition to your usual looks 💕 such a cute and subtle holiday look too

Have you ever tried the Essence Pure Nude highlighter? It also isn’t that super highlighty blinding glow. Very natural and beautiful and it’s like $5!

Kristi is like that friend growing up that had EVERY toy imaginable and we all wanted to play at their house. Cause their house was better..... I want to go play makeup at Kristi’s house!! It’s so funny you mentioned the name of physicians formula I was just thinking that today and how it probably misleads consumers into thinking it’s better for your skin. I haven’t used anything from them either but only because I find it expensive in Canada for drug store.

Gina Marie I picked up one of their powders on clearance because I needed one to stash in my purse, and I didn’t realize it had a set up like that forever... And tbh, even though it’s weird, the quality of the mirror is really good. I like that it doesn’t get powder all over it either, since it’s in the bottom, so it’s always clean.

I have so much makeup that I love this concept- so I’m treating everytime I do makeup more like a shop my stash so I use more - because it’s meant to enjoy not hoard 🙈🙈🙈🙈 getting better at it I always treat it like I’ll ruin it by using it like somehow that day isn’t worthy like I’m not special enough- but I am whatever day it is!

Shop my stash are my favorites! It shows me what folks actually like instead of what’s new. It gives us a chance to try things that fell by the wayside. It’s helpful for people who own the items already. I hope they make a big comeback in 2020.

Haha I say it too- I LOVE Colourpop because it’s decent makeup that’s totally affordable. People probably think I’m crazy because I use it so much... even when I try not to 😆
