The cream blush looks amazing. beautiful colour and very natural looking. with the contour i'd reconmend going in after with a big fluffy brush in circles to blend it out. for your nose less is more. maybe use your finger. Great video Molly! thank you x
I agree you look beautiful, you did really well and the cream blush is spot on. I wonder if a cooler toned contour would also suit you better? And it needs to go up into your hairline if you are contouring your four head. You do your eyebrows way better than me.
@@ashleyelizabeth90 Same, but I'll get there soon. The problem is that my eyelids tend to shake when I try to apply eyeliner. Also I have a shakey hand. I just need to be brave, practice, & try really hard not to shake.
Your contour is in the right place but after you do it maybe take a clean big fluffy brush and blend out the contour a bit so it's not so harsh(also the color is a bit too orangy). Try lip liner (possibly overdrawing) and winged eyeliner next!
She said in a video I watched that she is better with warm and cool tone descriptions so you might could add that orangey means too warm toned and contour that would suit her best would be a cool toned grayish color. Idk just trying to help here lol
You have LITERALLY the BEST face for contouring, such RIDICULOUSLy good bone structure.. that cream blush was perfect as well. Whoever helps you pick out makeup is an absolute beast at it
You definitely did not make yourself look like a clown. I think you looked really good. I was expecting the liquid eyeliner to be really messy, because half the time i have trouble with it not cooperating, but it came out really nicely. There was some transfer from the upper lid to the lower lash line, but it wasn't any more messy than what I do to myself. haha The blush and the contouring looked nice too. Not too dark and it seemed to be blended pretty well from what I could see. This was fun to watch. Can't wait to see more!
I totally agree, I was sooo impressed with the liquid liner because the first time I tried it I totally looked like a clown but you definitely slayed it like a queen 10/10 for sure!!!
Honestly she did better than I did with all these products the first time I tried it, and I'm well above legally blind 😂 I do wear strong glasses but I use a hand mirror, so I have no excuse lol
The brows turned out pretty well actually. The product darkened them without really defining them, so you couldn't go overboard--at least not the way you did it. For the contour, I think you needed to tap off the brush a few more times before applying, and then take a big fluffy brush with no product to blend a whoooole lot more. It didn't look awful, but it was a bit off. For liquid eyeliner in marker form like that, I usually tilt it to use the side of the marker to stamp down along the lash line instead of drawing to draw a line with the very wiggly tip. I wonder if that method would work for you. And yeah, you were correct in thinking that it makes sense to put cream blush (which you blended very well) on before powdering. And that powder puff looks straight out of old film noir type stuff! How cool. Though to be honest, I wouldn't call the blush you used a peachy color--it was straight up pink.
your contour was to orange for you because your so fair, I have that problem too. you should try the nyx pro contour kit. all the shades are cool toned browns and they work great and it's really easy to blend. loved the video!
I don't know why, but this video was so calming. I'm really looking forward to more of this type of videos. Also, from what I know, you were right, you shouldn't use cream products after applying powder.
for the name of the series, how about "going in blind"? loved this, can't wait to see more videos like this!! the blush especially suits you so well, it's the perfect shade for you :)
I think overall you did really well! I'm sighted and I hate using liquid liner because I find it very hard to control. The only thing I would switch is I think the contour is a little orange for your skin tone, and it takes a lot of blending. I usually apply it with a medium sized brush, and really blend it out with something fluffy! Hope that helps!
Everything looks really good! I would suggest going back over the contour with regular powder for a more normal look. The eyeliner looks really good but it got a little on your lower lash line(which you are NOT supposed to put liquid liner on for a natural look). The blush looked great! The eyebrows could have been darker but they looked really good! I'm so impressed
I love your cheek contour Molly! You're actually really good! I don't think you need the jawline contour or nose contour. I also liked the cream blush, it looked really natural!!💖💖
That blush looks amazing on you. It was blended out perfectly & it was a nice natural light pink shade, you blended out the powder perfectly too. Loved this look ! For contouring, try to barely touch your skin. Do it very light, & take the brush with your hands at the end of the brush, because that’s how the application will be lighter. & always take off as much excess as possible so you get a very light contour. Your cheeks were really good, I think your forehead could have been a lot softer but for a person who cannot see, you did AMAZING .
you did the cream blush in the right order, and you blended it very well :) and you did such a good job with your liquid liner I would just say that the contour didn't come out very good, but if you end up coming to Simi Valley and have a little time to meet one of your subscribers, I can help you do your contour so you know where to place it
I love that you went balls deep and went all the way with a product you're scared and unsure of. That's a true testament to you and your outlook on everything.
Molly's over here, blind and still trying all these things and here I am, with no problems still afraid to wear anything more than eyeliner and mascara in public lol! You are so inspirational and I love your dove campaign, it's awesome to see how positive you are after all the things you've had to overcome with losing your sight and everything else that goes along with it! Love you Molly and Gallop
It's fascinating and beautiful to me how you talk and express yourself. Where most people will move their eyes to express things, by squinting, rolling their eyes, widening their eyes, looking away, etc, you'll speak more with your head, hands, and body movements . It's very cool to watch you express yourself, for sure.
I'm really impressed, you look better than I did the first time trying these things and I'm sighted! I'd say with the contouring just blend it out a little more, the eyebrows and blush is pretty good, but the liquid eye-liner is very difficult to get a smooth line. With practice, I'm sure you'll get the hang of it. Love you Molly
I’m so inspired by you. You are so fiercely brave. I love your warrior’s heart. Even though you are blind you see so clearly what many people with sight don’t see even when it is right in front of them. Keep on being a light so that all who stumble in this dark world can see a little clearer.
I think this idea is awesome and a fresh perspective on makeup! I have a question: I'm also makeup obsessed and because of that, sometimes I have a hard time knowing when to stop. I usually feel accomplished when it looks JUST right... so do you have a more tactile version of that? Is there a time when you're doing your makeup that it FEELS just right?? ALSO: can we get skincare too??? because girl your skin is awesome
The eyebrows turned out really good. They still looked very natural. I would totally do that eyebrow routine every day. The blush looked lovely on you. Also the powder and the highlight. I would skip the contour, though. The color didn't went well with the rest of the makeup, in my opinion. And it's really difficult to put on the right amount of product - especially on light skin. (I have light skin, too.) Honestly, you don't need the contour! But if you want to keep on trying, perhaps a more cool-toned color would be better for you. And you would need the right brushes. And someone to tell you, where to put the nose contour! I'm not the right person for that, because other people know much more about contouring than I do. Wouldn't put contour on your jawline, though. That didn't look good. The liner on your upper lash line looked good! You just got a bit of liner on your lower lash line. Don't know, if you can feel that, so I don't know, if you can stop that from happening. I would love to see you use some cool-toned dark brown eyeshadow around your eyes. (Instead of the eyeliner.) Smudge it out on the lower lash line a little bit. (I would personally get one from MAC for that porpose.) Also, I think, a more natural looking lipcolor would be great. Perhaps a pink, that is a bit darker, than the one you're wearing. All these are just my opinions. I love your videos! Greetings from Germany!!!
You are so so so inspirational!!! LIVE your LIFE GIRL!!!! You would never know that you're blind!! Your style is on POINT and you always look so so beautiful. Keep being you!! Much love
that cream blush is definitely working for you! you applied it perfectly, and the color is very light so it wasn't harsh at all! it was the perfect peachy pink color for your skin tone and literally just looks like a natural blush like you went for a run :) and girl, those brows are ON POINT!!
I just came across your channel a few days ago and I need to say how inspiring and amazing you are! You are such a strong person, continuing what you love despite the challenges you are facing. You’re such an inspiration, even for us who do have normal vision. Keep doing you girl!! Already love you so much ❤️
You honestly do your makeup better than a lot of sighted people I know. What's even more amazing is that it's your first time playing with all of these items. I have some friends that use these types of makeup on a regular basis and still can't figure out how to apply them properly.
Your tip with overblending works really well! When in doubt, blend it out! Your blush is very subtle and pretty. The tone is nice for your skin. You could go heavier without looking clowny at ALL. Definitely try a wing! It would suit your style if you were willing to keep practising! And I think you'd have fun painting your nails if you practised, too. Also, you could try carving or pottery or indoor rock climbing (totally tactile!) or braiding your hair or something cooking-related or some eco products or block printing fabric or dancing or building something with Lego or playing a very black and white video game that has good auditory indicators (if you have a surround-sound setup somewhere) or using exercise equipment at the gym with a little guidance or doing a D.I.Y. project with an old item of clothing or ... I think those are all of my ideas for now. 💗
I love all your makeup videos however I have never really done makeup as I was busy doing other thing but now my vision is where I can see you but can't tell what your doing I would love more verbal directions as you put it on so as I may learn how to put makeup on but overall still love your stuff you do you always look amazing through my RP eyes
I usually dont comment but I recently found your channel and subscribed, I have already watched a LOT of your videos and collabs and I just have to say... You are such a strong, beautiful and inspiring woman to put yourself out there and helping people understanding more about blindness and helping blind people to be more confident and WOW you are amazing at doing youtube and makeup stuff. I adore you so much!❤️❤️
You placed the contour on your face almost perfectly! The only thing I'd recommend is blending it into your foundation (a lot, the more you blend, the better it looks) with a fluffy brush! Keep trying, you did probably 5x better than I did when I first tried. You'll nail it in no time!
Because if your square face shape(which is beautiful) I personally would suggest not contouring your jaw because it will make it extra chiseled an sharp unless you like that. Also you have a cute little nose so you may not wanna slim it down if you do wanna shorten it or something but a tiny bit of Contour right under your nose.
So jealous of how well you did that on your first try and without sight. I struggle to do that and I've been doing these things for a years. And I can see what I'm doing. You're so inspiring.
The cream blush is ADORABLE! and the powder really looked nice and was pretty cute! :) but the liquid liner was kinda messy and the contour was kinda dark but a tip to making your contour better is taking a foundation brush that has a LIGHT amount of your foundation left on it from using it on your face and going over your contour. Love u bunches and your so adorable how much you love your life! Stay positive hun you encourage so many people!
I love the blush! You might find that you like cream blush since you can feel your cheekbones as you apply it, so you'll know that your placement is perfect 😊 I was actually taught in makeup school to feel the face to find where the cheekbones and the hollows of the cheeks are, which helps understand where blush and contour/bronzer placement should be! I recommend applying cream blush by using a tapping motion rather than rubbing, this will make it easier to blend! It's not as tricky to blend as many people (including me!) think, because the warmth of your fingers just melts it into your skin. I love your videos, especially your beauty videos!
A tip for contour is to apply it in a line from the top of your ear to the corner of your mouth (obviously not the entire way down but that's the direction you want to go and placement :) I think your nose is naturally a beautiful shape and doesn't need contour. I don't think the forehead contour is your friend either but props to you for trying!! Love you molly!! ❤️❤️
Molly, you did so well with the contour! I would just suggest blending, blending, and more blending. The cheekbone contour was so good! I just think you should try blending your forehead a bit more. Loved this, though! I’m excited for more in this series!!! ❤️
I think the brow pencil is perfect, you might like a brow gel too. They also make contour sticks with the dark and light shade on opposite ends in cream form which might be a little easier to apply and blend. I love this series already!
please don't try to wax your brows! it's just bad. you deserve better. you could do a contouring video! or maybe something with cooking or baking? maybe like cake decorating?
BeautyWearsBoots I think the "baking" she spoke of would be the make-up baking, where you leave some powder on your face for a little while and it sets make-up better or something, but I like the idea of seeing her baking a cake and such as well 🤗
I love using my fingers to apply makeup so I love cream products. And a super nifty thing is that cream blushes can double as lip tints. Regular tube lipsticks can also be used as a blush. Tinted lipbalms also work. I also like cream highlighters because you can use them as eyeshadows as well
- the blush is a beautiful colour and looks so natural, you blended it well! The only criticism I have here is that it was a bit too dark and noticeable where you brought it up to your temples (I hope you don't mind if I share some tips). - I'm in love with that powder! It just softened the whole look beautifully. - I think the thing that let you down the most with the contouring was the brush. The one you are using is quite dense and leaves kind of noticeable lines that would be hard for anyone to blend. A nice, larger, domed and especially fluffy, brush should do the trick. You applied it in all the right places, although I suggest putting the cheek contour a little higher up, because it is more so meant to hug the underside of your cheek bone, rather than be right in the hollow. - One trick I have learnt with nose contour is to begin from your brow and then work your way down the nose. Looks more natural this way. Though you did a good job regardless! And less is more with this one. - I'm so so so impressed with the liquid eyeliner! Basically perfect other than the blob you accidentally got on the lower lash line, oops. And you are right. You only really use pencil and eyeshadow on the lower line, liquid liner on the lower lash line is a bit harsh. - One tip I have for your eyebrows is the brush the hairs more upwards than towards the side. This gives a more lifted look. You did the eyebrows well, the only patch you missed is the top of the arches, but this is probably something that will come with practice. I think the brow product you are using is a great start. Pomades are less forgiving. Powder could work too if you want softer brows. I'm forever impressed with your overall makeup skill though! Keep it up girl. You're slaying. Would love to see you attempt a full on eyeshadow look with like 4 eye shadow colours and winged liner! Love you 😘
You did well. I feel like you're probably going to get the furthest with the eyebrows and the contour, except you don't need to contour your nose. Just your cheeks and maybe forehead. You just need a little bit of practice but we all do :)
You're so amazing!! I can't even apply makeup being fully sighted; you are honestly so inspirational and I can't stop watching your videos because of how entertaining you make them. I would love to see you do a hair tutorial and possibly curl your hair?
Hang on - I'm just at the start of the video, don't you shave your own legs? Like, does someone do it for you? As a blindie myself, I can't imagine that... Good series idea though! I'm looking forward to watching the video.
On another note, blindness and loose powder isn't actually a disaster! I bake my under eyes/below my contour when going out, and it's fine, although I always do my make up in pyjamas so my clothes don't get messed up.
Molly Burke Me too! Well, I do it myself… Never been to a salon. But waxing is what I have always done, and now much of the hair never comes back, which is pretty awesome. I can't take a razor to any of my follicles. It just seems wrong to me, lol.
The blush, powder, and brows turned out amazing!! The blush is such a pretty color on you. The contour wasn't too bad, though I think the color was a tad dark for your skin. You did a really good job on all of it!
Molly is so beautiful. And to be honest, she did better than most sight-seeing girls who first try makeup. Molly is such an inspiration, and I love that she tries regardless of her being blind and that's amazing :D love you Molly so much. So glad Shane introduced me to your channel. We love you
A big fluffy brush and hoola light would be perfect for you for bronzing! The color is so light it couldn't get too dark, and a fluffier brush would be good to just warm up the outside and high points of your face in a blended way. You don't need a contour!
