Exactly, GGG doesn't fight with speed so Jacob wanted to time him. Slower you are, easier it is to time.

Throw in a slower punch and their timing gets thrown off; that’s not what they were expecting. Jacobs got too fancy, he kept his guard down and he caught a right that wobbled him, and then a jab that really made things scary. He’s lucky the round ended when it did, that stopped the Golovkin swarm; unfortunately, it was the round that cost him the fight. Keep your hands up.

@@fabianheilbron9988 Don't get me wrong, I am familiar with the tactic. I was expressing the fact that Jacob wanted to time GGG because *relatively* GGG is a slower puncher so Jacob wanted to take advantage of the fact he thought he was feeling GGG rhythm.

The fight that confirmed his decline. He lost his killer instinct after knocking jacobs down. He abandoned the forward onslaught with fighters after this fight as well. Body shots were over, etc.

GGG one of the best chins I've seen in boxing history. That guy seems unbreakable. I know he has to be hurt by some of these punches - but it is almost like he overcomes them with sheer will. Doesn't even wobble badly from anything I've seen in all his fights. Never dropped.

No power in his punches though.

Jacob's punches didn't hurt GGG, Jacobs was just an awkward target for GGG's punches. There is absolutely no doubt who won.

Julian Davis no, there where 2 weighins scheduled for this fight, Jacobs declined the fight day weigh-in so he forfeited the chance to compete for the IBF belt, witch means he purposely put weight above the limit that was disputed to gain an advantage, so yes, he has no right to criticize what Chavez did

Canelo didnt wanted that fight and now with 40 and after such long break, ggg can just be 80%tbats why all that hyenas are comming now and didnt wanted to fight some years ago. ggg should just do 2 fights with easy people like canelo is doing that and retire than.
