Even if it wasn't momentum, at the top of the MMA game most of the fighters must enjoy hurting their opponent so they try a bit harder and sometimes followed up shots happen (take Dan Handerson vs Michael Bisping for example), i didn't saw anything wrong with them shots, 1-2 fast shots nothing wrong at all that's why nobody question that, you say it like he did a 'Rousimar Palhares'.
