Rory needs to retire, he was a great fighter n I have a lot of respect for him but honestly, Lawler broke him. He was never the same after that beating he took from Robbie Lawler. Lima destroyed his leg, it's permanently damaged. He's too tough for his own good. He's gonna keep taking too much damage until it leaves him with brain damage or it kills him. There's a time to be tough and there's a time to be smart.

@Mason Gardner Lawler changed after the 2 fights he had with Hendricks. He was still a good fighter but he changed after those 2 wars. The McDonald fight changed him even more, he went down hill pretty quick.

@@farivera2815 around the 32 minute 15 second marker the commentator says something about two high-level Fighters. They are both really good at what they do. How about you tell me one round that the Portuguese guy won. They are both really good at what they do Rory protected himself from the aggressive leg kicks and the Portuguese wasn't defending himself Good Enough From the Bottom. There wasn't the whole lot of strikes landed and there was a whole lot of posturing and attempts to gain position. But tell me one round at the Portuguese Guy 1

Mucho respect to Lima, a fighter with a great heart. He could have just won this fight with his kicks into Rory's injured leg, but he didn't want to break it. Look how Rory's face was bleeding, that's why he decided not to punch him anymore. The only choice left is to let the fight go into ground, where he held till the end. For those who think Rory had any chance on the 5th round - you guys are too naive!

Agarrar faz parte do esporte, Rory foi mais efetivo que o Douglas fazendo isso na luta, venceu a maioria dos rounds e foi superior. Se não gosta de luta agarrada assista boxe ou kickboxing. E detalhe, Douglas Lima é um dos meus lutadores favoritos e acho que ele vence a revanche!

The "ref" is terrible. Part of the fight is strategy, this guy seem to only understand beating the hell out of your opponent while standing. Ref should be fired. WHO scored that 49-45? Maybe they were making up for the terrible ref in the cage.

the scoring system is a mess. Douglas lima clearly lost 3 rounds but won the other 2 much more decisively than he lost those 3 just a look at the two of them after the fight lets you know who won. who cares who won how many rounds when one can barely walk and the other one looks almost unharmed. but who knows how the fight would have gone if ref didn't interfere so much. my opinion: 20 minutes, all one round, ref does nothing, & it's a draw if dedicated fans like you and me have to wait for the judges' decision to know who won.

O Lima não deu tantos golpes.. porém os que pegaram arrebentou o sugeito.. Que eu saiba só na olimpiadas que ganha quem disfere mais golpes.. no MMA os golpes tem que ter efeito.. só olhar a cara de um e de outro e da pra ver quem arrebentou quem..

Every time a fighter gets a low blow, he comes back to fight too soon, and he's just a little off afterwards. The other fighter immediately takes advantage....this gave Rory the second round. I don't think I've ever seen a fighter take a low blow, then come back to win.....it takes more out of you than you think....

I would understand Rori winning if Douglas was the challenger but giving away his belt for beating the shit out of Rory it's what gets to me. Rory vs Robbie II is my favorite fight of all time but I still think that things should be fair and Lima won. Also why not let Rory try again for the belt if he lost, maybe wouldn't have retired if this wasn't rigged.
