One picture of creatures you were not sure of were tapirs. They have a short prehensile snout . Looks like a very small elephant trunk.

Went straight over to Amazon after less than five minutes and ordered it! I had no idea she was putting a new one out. Continued watching though ‘cause I enjoy your flip through - thank you. Glad the mystery animals has been solved - Lulu really finds a lot of different creatures to work her magic on. I like the snow and polar bears, please. Not really sure how to paint the globe either so I’d be glad to see how you do it.

Love this book it has beautiful pictures in it and I have never ordered one of these books but my no buy is a gonna buy!

This is the first flip-thru of yours I watched & I must say it’s the best, love your commentary. The animals that you were wondering about are opossums, not sure if you have them in your country, Lulu drew them way cuter than they really are in real life.

I love Lulu Mayo. I love all her animals. Baby animals galore here! HOWEVER, too many of these pages are overloaded, IMO, with foliage. Plus so many tiny babies nestled in this foliage ( like hidden babies) I am on the fence here and glad I did not preorder. Have to think this through. Thanks for the flip through!

Timestamp- 18:49 My guess for what the little animals are is possums because the babies are on the Mama's back and that's how possums carry their babies!

I love the variety in this book and I think that I may just have to add it to my basket! I'd love a colour along for the polar bear snow globe page that you mentioned.

The little ones you were asking about are podiums

I'll be receiving my copy tomorrow and I can't wait! Even though others have said, those cute little animals are oppossums and momma transports the entire litter on her back. I've seen them have so many babies that they are stacked on double/tripple and I've even seen a baby clinging to momma's tail desperately trying to not get left behind. They aren't the cutest animal in real life, but the babies are super adorable. They are excellent for the environment and eat their weight in ticks!

Mine came today too. Took me by surprise because I had forgotten I preordered it too. I've also preordered her one that comes out in June. I just have to have all of hers ❤

My 1 issue- I don't like how almost all the animals have the hairs drawn in. I guess im just not used to it in her books. So u either have to make heavier or darker fur to cover her 'fur' or just color them in & the lines will show. Also i dont get why She usually has pages w very similar scenes next to each other, like a heart with llamas or bears on both pages But this book has more varieties of animals & different scenarios than her others which i personally love. She's definitely trying new things here & It's always great to see our favorite illustrators change it up a bit while still giving us the familiar style that we love them for!! (Except the fur!)thank u lucy!
