FULL GO Train in New Scheme! GO 666 pushing then pulling 12 car Train thro Brampton & Racing CN 422!

While I was railfanning last Tuesday’ on Jan 28, in between OBRY runs I managed to catch a full 12 car GO Transit train in the new scheme both departing and then ARRIVING BACK into downtown Brampton W: MP40 666 both pushing and then pulling the large commuter train! While pulling back into the station eastbound, CN 422 came up right behind her on track one and thought it would be cool to also show her in the vid. Hope you enjoy 😉

Add to the fact that those are all newer Bombardier built coaches, not just repaints of the old Hawker Siddeley built cars, you can tell by the air vents on the sides of the cars being square in shape as opposed to the angled rectangle shape of the older cars.

GO Transit Fan eh I don’t really believe in evil numbers all that much and I doubt GO transit would either, if they did they probably would’ve just skipped 666. I honestly quite like number 13 myself regardless of what many others think

Yes Sir this station is always SUPER BUSY on weekdays! GO train is every half hr plus all the freight CN has and also 2 VIAs at 10:30 and 11:30!

If you come downtown on any week day, with the half hourly scheduled GO trains meets like this happen ALL THE TIME!

Mile 54 Productions RTC usually tires his/her best to keep all freight traffic plus the 2 morning VIAs on track 1 and use track 2 ONLY more or less for the GO trains lol. So meets here are SUPER COMMON!

666 is still the normal MP40s, 667 and above are MP54s btw.

Push-pull is done to save time at terminus stations. Without it, you have to flip the locomotive around and recouple it to the train which takes a lot of time. In GO's case, they've chosen to have the locomotive always point east (relative to the side of Union Station the line branches off of).

schnuurtchke hopefully around summer time but only train I’m really interested in up there is seeing 566 on the Waterloo Spur, going thro the LRT network late at night. Might be willing to give 540 on the Huron Park Spur a try too tho if they run there before it gets dark
