This is one of the better episodes. The Daniel Craig episode had almost 1mil views but it was pretty dull. Everyone here was such a marvelous guest. Kenneth Branagh has such a joyful spirit, a beautiful soul and a great story teller.
@@almostyummymummy same here. I think as kiwis. When we see other kiwis do big things outside of New Zealand. It's just in our nature to support them in some ways. Whether we're fans of their work or not. I love NZ man
Man, oh man ! I wish I was as well articulate as This one Kenneth branagh is on this show in only one question from Graham When he holds the audience let alone the further guests on the show in the palm of his hands. Using anecdotes & improvisation along with changing voices & comedic undertones while describing his traumatic experience as a child to his life's harsh realities & subject matter. Great actors are few but evEN smaLler yet are those who can keEp you gripPED to his pERForManCe as him. There is alot I can learn ofF this in particular from Kenneth. + rose matafeo does a goOd job On this show in her guest aPpearAncE of her TV show which Graham likes also her interjections but doesn't represent nz, aoTEAROa. Plus the westside story girl Is fine & Vicki McClure is hot Wow emeli sande is s3xy & ppwer vocals + Kenneth branagh is a gentleman standing up for the ladies it's just chivalry & goOD morals
When the Red Chair story started with her being in Vietnam, I thought it would be the one who had her flip-flops stolen by last week's Red Chair story.
Kenneth must be my age cause I remember I was 9 also when Chitty Shifty Bang Bang came out. BTW I also seen the movie it was great. Love Judi and Cait.
Graham Norton fans...maybe you can help? Trying to find a book. An older male guest, actor/comedian? (british?) promoted his mystery novel. 3 different stories within or something. Does that ring a bell? ...to anyone? 🤓
@@dvkmrishab4850 YOU'RE RIGHT!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for getting back with me 😊🙏💚 I just discovered it this morning. It was the Thursday night murder Club or something.
105 + ONE =106 COMMENTS? I THINK GRAHAM IS HONEST AND HIS STARTING WITH 1980"S PEOPLE THEN CHER THEN MANY MORE TOO.THE BOOK "MY MOTHERS KEEPER"? I WILL READ BUT AUSTRALIA CANBERRA I KNOW YOUR SHOW IS EXACTLY HOW A TALK SHOW SHOULD BE. THANKS FOR CHEERING UP A LOT OF LIVES AND KEEP ON DOING THIS???FROM A SMALL START NOW 2022 AUGUST. HOPE YOU DO? xxoo
I love strong women but when Rose started to speak, to me it was projecting self confidence with a super loud voice. I'm probably wrong, we don't express what we want often.
I think they just wanted to monetize a classic. And have him be eligible for another Oscar. I think the original is as perfect as they come and this remake is utterly crap.
The same way someone like e.g. Keanu Reeves can be born in Beirut, Lebanon, with a British mother and a Hawaiian father (of rather mixed heritage as well), and can be Canadian … and has probably been USA American for a while as well. It is actually quite common in our world😉🌏 Is Emili Sandé’s mother not Scottish?🤔
@@IndomitableT No, her mother isn't Scottish, she's English so once again I ask the question how can she be Scottish? She doesn't even speak with a Scottish accent. I'm Scottish as are both my parents and even if I went to live in England that wouldn't make me English, do you understand? Your place of residency doesn't determine your ethnicity. However, both she and I are British no doubt about that as stated on our passports.
@@JKReAl The Scots (Scots: Scots Fowk; Scottish Gaelic: Albannaich) are a nation and ethnic group native to Scotland. Historically, they emerged in the early Middle Ages from an amalgamation of two Celtic-speaking peoples, the Picts and Gaels, who founded the Kingdom of Scotland (or Alba) in the 9th century. In modern usage, "Scottish people" or "Scots" refers to anyone whose linguistic, cultural, family ancestral or genetic origins are from Scotland. The Latin word Scoti originally referred to the Gaels, but came to describe all inhabitants of Scotland.
@@EVALLOYD thanks, good to know, I just googled it and see this is the copy paste of the first entry. So trying to rationalize Emeli being Scottish maybe she’s using it as a nationality thing as she was raised in Scotland
She wasn’t nervous at all, she was playing the part of the ingénue (badly) and she just wanted to be over every conversation, that you couldn’t see the reality is your problem not mine
@@JKReAl Wow dude, I wasn't attacking you, not sure what made you think I was. She hasn't yet figured out that a talk show isn't really a nice conversation among people who definitely want to be your friends, it's a controlled turn-taking exercise meant to look like a fun party. People are often dumb and clueless at that age, I'm sure you were too. I'm not saying she didn't come across weirdly. I'm saying that she came across weirdly because she's a college-aged kid with no life experience who hasn't yet matured. As Rose Matafeo said, when you're young with no life experience, you talk about the stuff you know, thinking you'll come across as funny, without realizing that people around you can't relate. Also I find it unlikely that you would be able to know whether she was nervous or not. From personal experience, I remember being a neurotic young woman, and often my anxiety-induced verbal diarrhoea was interpreted as arrogance. When really it was attempting to awkwardly make friends. As a teacher I've seen this play out so many times. Just because you don't think anxiety ought to manifest in that way doesn't mean that it doesn't. All I'm saying is my instinct is to be empathetic. Unfortunately for her, I'm sure she'll figure out soon enough that the world is a nest of vipers, and showbusiness even more so.
Kenneth Branagh should have been the lone guest. Brilliant, eloquent, interesting.❤ The other 3 were, in turn, staring from KBs left: Boring😴...Flaky🥴...Annoying😜. Just have KB on alone next time. WITH the singer of course! Lovely performance!👏👏👏👏👏
I've never liked Kenneth Branagh since he left his wife, Emma Thompson, for the woman he was having an affair with, Helena Bonham Carter then only stayed with her 4 years because SHE found someone better.
Terrific. Another loud, uncultured American guest who can’t leave her hair alone and has no idea who Graham, Ken and Vicky might be. Just what the world needed.
Maybe you should install another flipping chair at the far end for all the obnoxious guests who mistakenly think we're here to watch them take over the show.
@@suzawilo A misigynnist is a person who dislikes, despises, or is strongly prejudiced against women. I was not talking about women, just one woman, at least I think it's a woman. I didn't even mention the word woman, I merely mentioned she is unfunny as fuck, as expected from a Kiwi. Go scream 'misogynist' somewhere else, and educate yourself.
You know....who in the world does not teach young ladies to speak? She needs a coach! Yes, yes, I know she is an indigo kid, but still, good manners are good manners.
