Sorry but I disagree, the Defenders are much stronger than the Savages. For the rest I agree, even if the Scales I would not put them in second place, reversing them with the tanks of the third.

Haven't played in like 4 years. Picked it back up a couple days ago and I'm back hooked!! Can't get through 5 online pit fights in a row. Always lose on the 3rd fight no matter what. Here for the tips
Honestly the Pit Fights were clearly never tested properly as you have moments where if you send in an Orc to fight an Olog there is a chance where your Orc will just stand and taunt while the Olog while stun lock your Orc by just picking him up and punching over and over. Your guide is great, but we have to be real the Pit is just based on luck. The only way to counter BS like that is to quit before your Orc dies.
@@stevefilms1997 Yeah but I wanna see the orcs I love become the ultimate pit fighter. They fight so much better in the overworld but when they enter the pits they become brain dead.
I sent in my greatest warrior a true masterpiece I spent so long creating...so much upgrades and all I wanted to see was his success in the pit fights...but the first fight I sent him in he died cause he litterally would not do anything...
@@who_tf_asked4585 Yeah that's why if you do plan on using the pits you have to be quick on the escape button once the death animation starts on your Captain. On PC Alt Tab and just close the game. On Xbox or Playstation quickly jump to the home screen and quick the game from there. That's the only way to counter the BS of the pits.
i have a Feral Berserker and I've put him in 100+ pit fights and he's never lost. No weaknesses and immune to everything except for stealth and executions. Enraged by almost everything too. I find the charge and beat down with feral claws to deal a lot of damage, usually 1/3 or 1/2 their total health.
I ended up with a random uruk who has trashed every single orc he's fought against, he even beat a bunch of hacked modified uruk in the online fight pits
Only thing I feel it's missing is epic/legendary perk breakdowns. Like which traits a captain wont use. For example (and this is only my hypothesis based on my experience) tunnel rat doesnt seem to be used at all in pit fight, necromancy is rare to be used and of course bombs and mines are used hella frequently
dam helped me alot i was stupid using a tracker warmonger orc, he never killed an orc bu he also never died, now i am always gona use the bests, thanks i finally completed online pits thanks
I always pit, my poisonous feral savage and he beats EVERYONE. Beast, arrow & immunity to execution, enraged by wounds & legendary savage counter 😭 ologs cant touch him, he tackles everyone even defenders

I don't get what the point of it all is... no matter what kind of a captain I find, however I train him, the game always produces one that is higher level and one that counters mine, one way or another. Heck, my guys barely even use their abilities. Just a pointless gold sink. The enemy captains do though. Hardly even matters what the enemy captain is... If I use A, it will suck. If the game uses A, it'll be the most lopsided encounter ever seen.

thanks, this will surely help me out alot, im only 2 hours into the game with alot of deaths on nemesis, havent been playing video games for a long time and just restarted, it is fun but some stuff was kinda keept in the dark it felt like so these tips & tricks vids helps out.
Cmon man where's the love for my olags. i legit forced and entire army of ologs in my game after 14 hours and have one for every class they can get. Gotta say its amazing to watch an olog tank/berserker with thick skin/mighty olog and olog gang just trample enemies. (you know provided they don't just stand there breathing while the olog gang 2v5s the enemy till time runs out.)
Playing in 2023. 90% finished with the main game, 100% on the two side story lines. Savages are horrible for me as they just emote the entire time. The only ones I ever have any luck with are ologs, and defenders.
I feel the fight pit fights are rigged . There was one time i sucked at the fights and later if my Orcs was about to die i quit the game and tried again . Like yesterday i kicked an Orc that was level 53 !😮 My Orc Defender was level 39 and he was riding an Caragor plus wielding a shield, armor and a spear ! It was suddenly an easy fight . I have completed all Champions fight pits and collected all Fortress Upgrades for my Fortresses 😮🙂. This game and Shadow of Mordor are awesome games.
2024, this game still slaps. But I really hate how my orcs become brain dead as soon as they enter the fight pits, they were ruthless when they fought me but wait to die in the pits.
Kinda new to the game. I have a Olog war chief with 2 epic traits thick skin and enhanced strength. He came with a pack of hunters. When I fight him in the pits the dumb hunter throw their spears in my guys back. I want to change gangs but have zero clue who to use. Any advice?
I think berserker and slayer classes are the best. I tried to go marksman, but kept failing, so i used a defender slayer that was non legendary/epic. He became legendary and it was great. He has a coragor and elite warriors and his second epic is fire warder, which, I'm I haven't changed because I'm not sure if it's good or not. But he's already immune to curse and poison proof, so i was like all three.
I’m really annoyed, it’s 2024. Nobody probably plays shadow war anymore, but I had a pit fighter who had a Mystic, assassin class, agile, both the epic trait for thick skinned and great strength, and he died in his second match, and he had a poison weapon, immunity to fire, immunity to poison, immune to curse, and he still lost, and he had a gang of hunters, it’s so hard to get a correct build farm the perfect orc you really have to get lucky when they turn legendary
As good as those treats were he got enraged by mortal wounds, and at that point, it was too late. He ended up getting killed by a stupid tracker, who had bestial frenzy and got enraged
Olog captains beat the crap out of archers in my opinion, except the fact that archer captains are in higher level than olog captains. I'd say similar level archers are bad with every uruk types. I put Olog against a 2 to 3 higher ldveled archer and the olog won with brute strength.
Hi. Jusr started this game lol. The nemesis system alone is Amazing fun. But i have to ask, are beastmasters viable now 2 years after the July patch? I have this guy I was thinking of promoting to warchief or overlord. Epic Graug call, caragor pack, resistant to fire, poison and frost, no real vulnerabilities. ( i am just level 30+ so I understand he wont be the same standard as level 80 orcs). I like him, (first orc I ever recruited) but I am not sebtimental enough to put some unviable orc in a high rank position.
Honestly, I wouldnt care too much about how viable orc captains are. The multiplayer is dead so just focus on getting captains who look cool. Ill be honest most of my playthroughs after the first only recruited Tanks not because they are good but it was faster than having to fight them twice due to 2nd wind.
Personally playing in 2021 I find ologs are the best and every time I’ve used one it just tramples even other ologs but I don’t know if it’s just the ologs I’ve used specifically with curse and some other stuff I just generally put on orks
I be playing this in 2022 a good game and I hope the rumors are true that they're making a third game and the maps are twice as big I hope they add ships to the new one similar to Black Flag mechanics to where you can travel to different continents and also most of all deep underground civilization with goblins and giant rock monsters and wizards you'll have to face and trolls the community is what saves games be creative people share your ideas
I disagree,defenders are the bane of ologs because the ologs can’t grab them while there blocking which they do most of the time.Also if your defender is a berserker with shield quake,he can easily interrupt all of your ologs animations,if anything I’d say that savages are the only counter to defenders.
Ugbug wait really?Oh well :/.Also I wanted to ask you a question which was that I’ve let a captain kill me twice but he still doesn’t cheat death,instead he gets replaced by another one,it’s really starting to annoy me.Ive done it like twelve times but they keep getting replaced.
Each cheat death requires another kill on the player for each previous cheated death. Effectively, first captain is guaranteed after 2 deaths but the second captain requires 3 before its 100% guaranteed. After around 7 it becomes quite rare so make sure you are making your captains with the legendary scars as they only spawn once
Hate the pits with a passion as the ai is awful they spend half the time emote or killing the fodder and the camera is just bad as well honestly pits could have been good if they put time into it which I don't think they did

I am actually confused with this pit fight event. Do I have to do anything myself (like pressing attack, execution or counter button)? Or the fight will go automatically?
fight goes automatically, it's like raising Chao in the earlier sonic games, you raise them and train them and get their skills just right, then you set them to battle and watch the fun mostly it's just a way to spend the billions of currency you'll have accumulated, as you'll notice that you can 'command' your uruks to train, and then buy them additional skills. one thing that bugs me about the UI though, it doesn't strictly inform you which traits will get added to your uruk, versus which traits will *replace* other traits. for instance, if you buy him a flame weapon, and then buy him a poison weapon, the new weapon will *replace* the old weapon, as a sort of obvious example... but giving him a caragor mount will replace poison immunity, too. there are really nice guides on the internet that show all the different trait 'slots', and which traits go to which slot, but I feel like that information really ought to be in-game basically the tl;dr is, your uruk starts out with a tribe (which gives them a special skill like tackling, or throwing projectiles), and you can't change that tribe. They also start out with a weapon which is also sorta their power level, like, you can think of it as warrior < archer < hunter < defender < savage < olog. Then on top of that they also get a few traits like 'hates' or 'weaknesses'. You want to find an uruk with no fatal weaknesses, and preferably a good 'enrage' trigger like 'hates everything' or 'hates when followers die'. You'll probably want him to be a defender, since most of the other classes can have trouble with gangs of archers, getting constantly stunned out of their attack animations. then it's time to start upgrading. basically you want to give him: a gang of defenders/savages/ologs (people disagree about which is best, each has advantages), an elemental weapon, and then an epic trait (the bottom row, the ones that cost 1k+). Each uruk can only have *one* epic trait, so you have to pick, but 'thick skin' is pretty good. If you want a really, really good uruk, though, you have to roll the dice and buy the "give him a random epic trait from his class" training, and hope you get something really good. ideally, you'll start out with an uruk who doesn't have *any* of the traits that you can train, because if all of their random traits go into things like enrage triggers or elemental immunities, then you don't have to *replace* anything when you're training, and the total number of traits ends up being higher. but there are also even harder ways of getting even stronger uruks. every once in a while, when you 'shame' an uruk, they won't just be ashamed or 'work past it' and end up stronger, they'll actually become 'deranged' and earn *two* epic traits associated with their class. these uruks can be brokenly insane. I had one that had both 'lobs firebombs' and 'shoots a flamethrower' *and* 'immune to fire' *and* 'enraged by burning', and he won me like 300 matches in a row before finally dying to a stupid archer who just perma-stunned him sorry for wall of text, laying all this out in text really helped me put it all together in my mind, if im wrong about anything someone please come and correct me
If you have a white common character, you're going to lose. If he rides a caragor, he's going to lose. I had a self healing beast master that won, but tied 2 other fights, because they also self healed. But he fought an orc that also self healed on fight five and the Orc lost, so I guess it's all random and luck. Upgrades are stupid, because if you upgrade it a level, they just give you a level higher to fight. It's actually boring.
Imo caragor rider is an advantage especially against poison and fire because the rider will get dismounted and as long as the caragor is alive it will keep stunning the captains and kill the grunts, I have a caragor rider who has won 80 pit fights without dying
actually, something whent wrong in the ONLINE PITS , well i had and orc at the garrison and he was a beastmaster from the feral tribe he had a cursed weapon, and you know, he brutaly killed every single orc in the arina he is legendary and only haves 2 weaknesses arrows and stealth atacks so something is wron. But before, i sent an beserker marauder with fire, he was a defender in the arena, and he went quite well until he faced an olog, named bruz, and you hnow what happened bruz killed my marauder in 3 hits sooo, you said something wrong beastmasters feral are very good indeed
I had a overloard that had enrage by everything and multiple different enrage things and I got lucky and was Pitted against someone that was a low rank and some how he lost even in enrage mode because the enemy overloard kept grapple spamming him and I lost my best warrior

That's the cap for for pit fight generated captains so that you can always unlock the champions bonus. Advancing time or dying is the best way to get new captains at your level above into the world. Playing on a higher difficulty increases spawn rate
Nah this is rubbish. Pit fights are 100% luck no matter the class. I had a marauder slayer get decimated by a feral commander which according to you should be an easy win for the Slayer. Half the fights my dude just stands still getting hit and refuses to fight back the whole time. Pure luck
I have a question about the rewards of the pit, in the description says that you will get a upgrade in the fortress but i dont know if this meants having a extra slot for your warchief or the other kind of upgrade like a graug war or draco
