Here's the custom RU-vid template: clickup.pxf.io/c/5015775/1909706/16855 UPDATE: I’m getting reports that sometimes the template isn’t showing immediately. If it doesn’t show immediately give it a few minutes. (If the above link doesn't work, try this: 1. Sign up for clickup here: clickup.pxf.io/eKx7Yr 2. Then get the template here: app.clickup.com/template/category/t-90130691914/fecf4d23c4353a51bd I'm looking forward to a year from now seeing your messages about how you've crushed it this year! I'll be watching you 👀😂
I'm always impressed by the amount of useful information you give to us that aren't able to pay for your coaching services. Thank you for all of your dedication!
@@jaybee4288 - it sounds like you're new to meeting Nate. 🙂 Nate was a part of "Channel Makers" for a long time, but very recently left to build his own channel here. He's been at this a while, has LOTS of amazing videos over there, has done tons of channel reviews, conducted lots of research and was a course trainer over there. But yes, Nate's new channel here is not massive yet, but his content is top quality. Considering that he was monetized almost immediately after starting and in a relatively short period of time is already up to 36.3k subs... and I'd say he's doing things pretty well. I hope your channel is doing well too. 👍
@@jaybee4288 You are totally unaware that Nate has come from the original channel called Channel Makers (as the main speaker for it) which is much much bigger (235 subs today, but he started as an employee there) and that channel has a website for paid members in the thousands. Nate just started his own channel, now solely owned, so it is only at 38K subs at only 5 months since launch. He knows his stuff and has some good ideas for content creation. Yes, he is qualified to coach.
Always happy to support "Boop The Like Button LLC," but also wanted to share that Jan 7th I'll have created my OWN LLC. Thanks to RU-vid. Thanks to you, Nate. Not only because of the content *in* the videos, but through watching you put your own advice to work in the building of this channel. It's been so educational. Thanks & Merry Christmas!
I feel like this is an instruction manual that would be straight out of an IKEA box. Easy to read, easy to follow, produces actual results. This is so good and so digestible! Thank you!
As someone who faces significant challenges in communication and building connections (I find it easier to rely on logic rather than empathy), I find your videos both triggering and incisive. You speak directly to me, and I appreciate how you explain things. I hope to one day fill the void I feel in my understanding. Sometimes I think I'm just a girl who wants to share her passions in life, while at other times I feel pressured to package my content for a specific goal, which compromises my vision of authenticity and directness. As a result, I end up both doing nothing and doing everything at the same time. I hope that makes sense! I truly value and appreciate the effort you put into your work. Thank you for your hard work.
I resonate with everything you said so much. To this point my youtube channel has been largely me sharing passions and making content based on what I specifically want to talk about, however I am in the middle of a rebrand to create content that mixes my personal curiosity, with niching down to appeal to a larger audience. Trying to find that sweet spot and structure my channel with a clear vision. Which is why I'm watching this video haha Take action with creating content, and give yourself space to pivot and transform over time. Action is necessary to develope clarity! All the best
@@AdrianLoganLive Hey AdrianLogan, appreciate your words! I think we both gotta find that sweet spot as creatives, you know? It's a competitive world, and we can get a bit too caught up in the success race. Let's hope we both strike the right balance! You are so spot on when telling me "Take action with creating content, and give yourself space to pivot and transform over time. Action is necessary to develope clarity" because I often lose myself planning rather than taking real actions. :D So i'm gload we got Nate :P
Love this, man! Starting RU-vid has been a really anxiety-ridden process for me. From not knowing what I want to produce, to being intimidated by the editing process. It's taking an awful lot of effort for me to get started, and I have a feeling it's going to take a lot more to keep going. Thank you for your energy :)
You’ve got this. It’s actually been similar for me as well. There’s something about both the pressure of the schedule and the pressure of being seen by an audience that really aggravates my anxiety. You hang in there!
Same. And I'm a former TV producer (back in the days of beta tape :) I've been 'gearing up' for three years. Give yourself some grace because, as a YT creator, you're a producer, director, videographer, graphic designer, voiceover, and/or talent, editor ... We're wearing many hats, each taking a specific skill that has a learning curve.
I SO relate!! I don’t normally share links to my videos, but I’m going to go and find one I made about this exact topic. Actually I don’t even know if I’m allowed to share link here, but I’m gonna take a chance just to show you that you’re not alone
I'm gonna be honest, I was skeptical of your advice at first bc of how relatively low the view/sub counts are compared with the channels that have already "grown," but what keeps me coming back to your videos is the succinct analysis of observable trends, and the way you organize your thoughts and content. The delivery is approachable, and it feels like you're a mentor/teacher figure for me as I firm up what I hope to accomplish on RU-vid. I actually did a live stream of myself going through this video (as much as I could in a few hours at least), and it was frankly cathartic. I have a much better idea of my goals now. Thank you for your help, Nate.
I'm binge watching and taking notes on every one of your videos. Next step, start my new channel. Most important step after that, get on your wait list.
I’m glad you used “high value” to describe your channel because it has always been just that. It’s hard to fathom that all 17 minutes would be so specific and useful to any channel but it really is! It keeps us coming back for more! Thank you for your positivity and motivational videos (along with the knowledge of course!)
The most important thing you have taught in this video: speaking to your audience as if they are across the table from you. There is such a difference between "teaching and advising" and you do the latter. That is why many of us have relocated you and subbed; and from time to time will "boop the like button." Please Nate, do not stop what only you can do your way!
Nate it looks like Channel Makers have deleted all the videos of you in them. I was hoping to rewatch a lot of them but they only have 35 on there now. I hope you make some new videos on the ones they deleted as they where very helpful. Wishing you the best this holiday season. Keep up the great work.
Yep... to them Nate has fallen off the earth... that is done out of spite... regardless of how it happened he became CM and 250K people subscribed through his being the front man. There are may ways that they could reformat his videos with intros to present something like "Great Information from Our Files." But no... lets just act like we got here alone. Those who pay attention will wonder how they end up on the tube with 250K subscribers with less than 100 videos on the books. Again... done out of spite.
Amazing! Thank you for the helpful resources. It shows that you are not just about getting clicks and likes, but about providing useful information for your audience. I’m new to your channel, but will definitely be a loyal follower.
Just watched all..... almost all your vids Your great no numbers/robot in your lingo. Your more about the human aspect of growing as a creator and Your "You-Splaining" that's my term for explaining you tube to me😂 is spot on Thank You it really resoNates with Me.❤
This is a masterclass in offering a significant value to the audience (templates, information that is usually pay walled) while also directing them to affiliate links and to your other videos within the template therefore increasing engagement across his channel 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I downloaded the template and I'm only going through the first couple questions, but it is so helpful so far! It is the first time that I feel like I'm making true deep progress with genuine reflections. Thank you for what you do! I hope everyone can succeed!
I just love that you gave a click up video not just the content is great but click up is awesome. I just found you got in a channel by yourself so happy.
Hi Nate, I’m a new transplant to this channel but I cannot express how helpful this template has been in planning out the rest of 2024. I appreciate how concrete these concepts are and how they’re actually useful as opposed to the same vague drivel over and over again that always keeps popping up.
I'm about to start a crafter channel and I'm grappling with crippling imposter syndrome. I think your list made me remember my time as a successful project manager at a toy company and then at a gaming company and it made me feel a little more confident in my abilities. ❤
Thanks Nate! Absolutely brilliant! My channel is 7 days old and have uploaded 5 training videos already, it’s a passion project and I am grateful that successful content creators like yourself is generous to starters like myself, this is the best community to support each other so thank you!
Write goals you can’t control but take actions you can control to achieve them… makes so much sense when you explained it like that. I always hated having subs goals because I didn’t know How to get more subs… that’s because. I can’t “get” them by wishing for it. But I can do things (like post consistently, better thumbs, clarity of my positioning) that will lead to more subs. Thanks Nate mate 👍
You really are different. I’ve been looking for solid advice on starting a YT channel and I like the way you’ve laid this info out. Other channels can often times make me feel overwhelmed easily. Thanks!
Nate, this is exactly what I needed for plannning & for consistency. The mindset questions are valuable too! A thousand thanks! Much gratitude from Northern Ontario Carolyn
Hi Nate! I am glad i found your channel. I started mine in the past month, at this time I don't have any subscriber or view. I did post some video and i tried live stream but everything was awful so i just removed. I am learning learning from youtube and from every source i can find, about how to be a good creator. Thank you for your videos, all the information i needed i found here! I will do the plan and i hope i will be able to grow. I make a vow now for myself and for you aswell, 1 year later from today i will come back and tell how is my channel going. Thanks!
OMW!!! I have just finished 1 whole year of actively growing my channel. I have been flying by the seat of my pants, basically doing what has worked for others, and some of their suggestions have worked...others have not. I am a planner, but have never found anything as well laid out as this!. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS AND THAT IT'S FREE....WHOOP WHOOP!
G.O.A.T. level of content! Jay Claus (amazing channel/podcast/seemingly human) released his Notion version of this for 300$ USD and my man Nate coming in swinging with a killer version free of charge. 💪😤 Apprecaite you, Sir!
Hello Nate, I have started this channel off of our main channel to use solely your tips and suggestions to see how this channel grows right from the beginning. Fingers crossed. I’m Jan by the way.
Radical, authentic, high value, fun - I would say you are hitting those marks very very well. Not that you need my channel review, but - I have had high level coaching from nearly all of the big RU-vid educators, and I consistently hear things I've never heard before when I watch your videos. And had more fun. You see things through a different lens, and that would not be so valuable if the things you see didn't make so much sense. Thank you!
This was exactly what I was looking for as a starting point. Great use of click up! Thank you for making such a stream lined and interactive planner/guide for our channels. ❤ 🙌
I recently created a schedule for creating videos for my Path of Prophecy channel. But you went above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you for doing the grunt work Nate!!!
Nate always give out true information. He really helps me to become a confident creator. I only have a few i listen to but nate is the number one man. Thanks again and again.
I've seen 3 different thumbnails for this video before really getting a chance to watch more than a few sec of this video. Gonna finally watch it now. Wanted to every time regardless because it's you and the title grabs exactly what I'm looking for ;)
LOVE this!!!! I'm a little lost on the ideation section, but I'm also rushing to go pick up my son, so I'll have to come back to this! Thank you for this AMAZING resource!
I have a sizable audience due to my career field, but I am always looking to learn more. Man, this video was so informative. Thank you so much. Subscribing.
My heart literally skipped a beat when I saw this title (and I use the word "literally" sparingly.. so we know I mean it). Im terrible at planning things and this was just so so so so so so so helpful thankyou Nate! Love your channel. I dont always comment as I watch from the TV a lot!
Yes please to all the videos you thought we might be interested in you creating. Also you said 3 words that brought up a question…”share your rates”. Mmmmh, what if you’re a beginner at sponsorships, how would you go about sussing out a perfectly normal rate range to put forth? Thanks Nate. So glad you left the other and started your own channel cause you’re sharing some really good, valuable stuff with us.
I just created a spreadsheet yesterday with a years worth of video release dates and video ideas. Its stupid simple but its great to tape to my desk to keep me motivated. Now injust gotta sit my butt down and edit haha.
Thanks! I love the analytical approach you take, and the fact that you're definitely not generic! Ps. Adding you as a connection to make on my list! 🥧 🌌
Nate, this is so VALUABLE! 🔥 Thank you for building this out and giving it to us to help us succeed. I just grabbed it from clickup and I can't wait to get started! And please make all the videos you mentioned here, I may not be ready for them yet, but I will in the near future. 🙏
Love these tips and will be implementing them. You have been a big help and am slowly but surely making changes that you suggest. Next step is to make my videos a bit more fun. I’m trying to figure that out without looking stupid or fake
Not sure how I missed this video but this is such a great roadmap to create for yourself. Big thanks for making the clickup template, will definitely put it to good use. Lots of things I love about it. Like I never really thought of listing potential (or ideal) sponsors or collaborations. So far I've been doing RU-vid very surface level (creating content and trying to improve on both content, titles and thumbnails), but this video shows there's so much more to it. Big thanks once again. If I ever succeed at RU-vid, I know who's helped me throughout the entire journey :)
Thanks Nate, you've clearly put in alot. These teachings are valuable and practical. One needs to put in the work and effort with consistency- what I'll be doing more of in 2024! Merry Christmas 🎄
I wish this template had a notion version. I currently do all my “ideation and production” on notion, don’t feel switching between notion and clickup would be effective for productivity but thanks anyway 🙏❤️
Wow, this was super-interesting, and very business-like! It's something to help develop the idea of RU-vid as a business, even for those of us nowhere near collabs, sponsorships etc. Certainly gives me an approach to aspire to in its full version. In the meantime, what my 'brand' stands for, timetable for uploading, planning sections for video ideas, etc, can help to focus my efforts at this stage of my YT journey. Thanks Nate as always... and happy new year:) Angela
Thanks for putting so much time and effort into this template. I had fun filling out all the fields up to “ideation”. I have a list of 20+ vetted videos planned for 2024. I have them on a giant calendar in my office. Each video idea is a post-it note so that I can move them around.
Just found this video and your channel. I am in the process of creating a channel that promotes and highlights the work and creations of local area artists, artisans, musicians etc. The information and the planning template provide here appears to be very helpful. I also like the fact that your channel does not have a fancy but time wasting "intro sequence" - just cuts right to the chase. One thing I would like to share with you - maybe under the category of "brand enemies" may be something that rankles many RU-vid creators and that is - ads! I understand that many creators do this as a source of income or support but for me having the creator take the time to interrupt his video to promote a sponsor via an advertisement puts into question the real sincerity of the creator. When watching these (although I will usually click out when I see them) what I am actually hearing is something like "This is the greatest product in the universe! Why do I say so? Because I am being paid to!" Keep up the good work - I have subscribed.
I have been searching for a way to organize all the content ideas we have. This video inspired me a system that I think is going to work for us. You helped put the pieces together and give it coherence . Thank you very much!
Nate, I love Clickup but haven't signed up. I will be using Clickup a lot for my projects this year. I'm more than happy to sign up through your link. Thanks for the template and your time! 👏🏼 ❤
Nate, your videos are like watching a crisp sunrise from a peaceful meadow sitting next to the Queen. Ohh, and you would have your favorite pizza. Love it. Love it all. A video covering sponsorship and affiliates would be amazing. I've been ignoring and brushing them aside because I don't want to ding my brand or get into something funky. And an overview from you would give me the confidence to fire off a reply orrr move them to the spam folder. Much love, Aaron.
Hey Nate! I’m a returning viewer and I haven’t watched this video yet but I just wanna say that your one of my favourite content creators when it comes to the enthusiasm and effort that you put into your videos. You’re inspiring and I didn’t even realize that you started your own channel until today lol. I can’t wait to see more of your videos 👍
The template and this video are simply amazing! I would love to see the videos you asked about making happen! I'd find them very valuable. Thanks for all you do Nate! 🙂
Nicely done Nate 🙂 Thanks so much for all your energy that you always show in your videos and inspire majority of us here so we can create something better from the last video we just published. Stay Blessed .. Take care everyone and have a lovely year ahead 🙂
Appreciate the effort you've put into providing such a useful tool. The real trick will be utilizing it to its full potential. The hardest part for me is going to be the connections/ collaborations. I am not good at networking at all.
This is amazing, Nate! Thank you for all you do for the RU-vid community 🙏🏽 with your help we were finally able to surpass the 500 subscribers mark and we are excited to improve even more in 2024!
I just found you today Nate, and I am so grateful for this information. I have been looking for a way to navigate my mess of thoughts (truly, a mess lol), on how to get started. This will help me so much, I can't begin to thank you enough. It has been one if the toughest years of my life, and all I keep doing is putting off what I really want. Thank you from my heart, I will use this template to kick myself in the butt, I have no excuses now because you have given me starting points. I am subscribed, and will keep watching. Thank you again and again ☺️☺️
Hi Nate, awesome video as always! I was wondering if you could ever do a video on working with an editor? As someone who does all my own editing, it seems like a big step forward. But I almost feel guilty putting all my rough raw footage on some unsuspecting individual :) When should we consider an editor? What are best practices for working with one?
I don’t have time do this, but SOMEONE should make a compilation video of every time Nate says “handy dandy” haha. Probably one of my favorite things haha.
