This was not an even contest between bat and ball. I'm not saying matches need to end in 3-4 days but this match wouldn't have ended even in 7 days. A proper balance needs to be reached and maintained.

Atleast pak should have declared after tea and would have tried to create some pressure on Australia in the last session. Pak too made it a dead rubber with their slow batting rate and not great captainship skills.

Shameful display of incompetence. At least, leave a few shards of Grass. Nobody expects a Green top in the subcontinent but having one of the flattest tracks won't help either team in their quest for WTC. Pakistan shot themselves in the foot. Huge loss to both teams. Waste of a Test match!

Playing cricket on a concrete highway like this is certainly a blessing for the batters. But for bowlers, it's a nightmare. When a test match ends in two days due to the unplayable nature of a pitch for the batters, the venue often earns a demerit point. I think a venue like Rawalpindi where after five days and 380 overs of play bowlers from both teams can only pick 14 wickets deserves at least a demerit point to its name...

well i agree but some blame has to go to the umpires ,who decided for the light settings to be so low that each days play was ended pretty early and cuz of that we only got 380 overs in. I think this game could’ve been interesting if it was 450 overs ,the way it should be but yeah we still probably wouldn’t have gotten a result although we may’ve been a lot closer to one that way

@@hmza_music thats just a lame excuse man If you are hosting one of the historical match then its responsibility of PCB to manage the pitch. Literally even if CA has asked(or forced in your word) then also its responsibility of PCB to maintain the pitch.

@@aabeeskaar yes, it easy to ask these things. But they were the guests, pcb had to accept what they demand. And also, this isn't just a one excuse. Pcb knew the weather was going to be like this so it also made an impact on the pitch conditions.. and 3rd thing is that empires had stopped the play so much early for all the days. So overs got less and pitch wasn't preparing for a good play.

I'll watch it later tonight if I having any trouble falling asleep! Thought such dead pitches that drives fans away & is killing Test cricket was a thing of the past but clearly not! When a side can comfortably bat out the last day with both their opening batsmen scoring unbeaten centuries, you know these sort of pitches do a great disservice to Test cricket!

Indian highways would be much better than dead pitch. Looks like both teams are here not for match but for batting practice sessions. Scary Nightmare for poor bowlers (Nauman was best). Hope PCB prepares better pitch for next test match.
