@@moist603 Yes it’s against a bad team but it doesn’t mean it’s not a huge achievement. Getting any century is not easy and if everyone barely reacted to getting one it wouldn’t be seen as much of an achievement. If you can’t stand people being happy about their achievements then there’s definitely something wrong with you.

@@youtubemoderation3152 lol no, if lots of batsmen could have they would have. Especially batting first you have plenty of time to get there. You have to score fast though, a lot of the more consistent batsmen tend to be too slow to make 200+ in a day. Very select few are capable of reaching that milestone. The guys who got into 300s not out of course had that chance.

We were visiting relatives in Griffith NSW when this incredible batsman made his debut and the papers were full of " He's just a slogger,he won't last" I saw him bat and he played some exquisite shots and he still does. You may not like him but he is one of the greats.
Few points to note There's always a chance he'll get out at 399. He was getting tired, one could see that clear. And yes, team comes 1st so they declared early. And winning the series is fine, but an extra win gives you points for the test championship . Had this been a lost cause like WI vs England where WI were down 3-0 in the 4 tests, then 400 was agreeable
