It starts right from the time women hit puberty or a few years before hitting puberty and it never ends until many years after menopause. Like, women in their 60s and above 60s don't need to worry too much about their weight and even if women do remarry after loosing their husbands, they mostly marry for companionship in old age, and if they can still perform sexually, then that's an added bonus.
