IELTS Life Skills is an English test for people who need to prove their English speaking and listening ability as part of a visa or immigration application.
IELTS Life Skills is available at A1, A2 or B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The tasks in the test are based on everyday subjects such as work, transport and the weather, which reflect the experience of communicating in an English-speaking country. It is a single test covering speaking and listening skills.
Before you register for your test you should check the English language requirements for your visa category. If you are in the UK, contact UK Visas and Immigration (part of the UK Home Office). If you are anywhere else in the world, you should contact the British Embassy or High Commission in your country.
This test should take around 16-18 minutes.

Phase 2b: Discussion ( 3-4 minutes)
