I would think you would avoid Mustangs, even with every bit of help you still not going to beat a Mustang. More firepower to make sure you take a bomber before you die to a Mustang.

The AI does suffer from blackout, they're just really good at not blacking out. Since they're bots, they know just exactly how much they can keep pulling and be on the limit of blacking out. It's pretty rare to see AI black out, but I see it more often on very fast planes like jets (especially veteran or ace skill). Since bots like to turnfight but don't think of slowing down with jets, I see them doing loops around me until they eventually black out and crash into the ground. However it's true the AI isn't otherwise affected by G forces. They're free to make 10+ G turns without suffering any structural damage to the plane and won't stall outside of scripted events.

Old comment but I'd imagien they have a high tolerance so as to encourage you to engage in some form other than turn fighting, so you have to think more about speed, altitude, separation etc.

He can just turn his head to look, and he can read it easier when zoomed in, also is aiming and spotting things if you have time. He uses Trackir5.

Fishyyy Thanks for your reply. The Mk108s explain why the bombers fell to pieces so easily. Can the Mk108 be fitted to the Fw 190 to produce the "Sturmbokke"?

You can exchange the outer Mk 151/20 cannons with Mk 108s in the Fw-190. I did that in "Big Bad Wulf". There also is a 190 "Sturm" mod out there. Btw, the correct plural is "Sturmböcke" ;)

Yeah, I did. It's very hard to find copyright free music, though. Most stuff is owned by someone and makes the videos unmonetizable. Also, I think that many people just come here for engine and weapon sounds and those who want music can tune in their own.

migmadmarine Not necessarily, it's just that the 109 has finished it's job, has little to no fuel left as they were designed that way, and has no more purpose in the skies. To say the P-51 is the best fighter of the war is quite bold, it had great range and speed as it was designed during the war so the designers knew how to but many variables affect it like alt, speed, and pure piloting skills. The P-51 had encounters where they out turned the 109 but the 109 had instances where it did the same. All down to variables. Plus, the P-51 carries 12.7 mm machine guns to the 30 mm cannons some variants of 109 carried. The 109 late war like the g model was designed as a bomberkiller. What I'm saying is that you can't say the P-51 is the greatest and the numbers are there to prove it. Most kills ever was in 109, many 109's were shot down but then again, you fly as many sort is as those Germans did, your luck will run out eventually. Not saying the 109 is the best but it is up to interpretation and quite varied and lastly, the P-51 was good but you can't just keep sucking your own dick. Many planes could defeat it at different conditions and we would never find out because many planes never fought it as well. Just up to interpretation

One final thing was the 50 cals America always used would haunt them later when they faced soviets who used nothing but cannons, especially in Korea. The migs carried 37mm cannons and 23mm cannons I think to the F-86 with its 50 cals. Many instances of emptying 400+ rounds at enemy migs to only damage it never having the firepower to finish it right there where many mig pilots recalled killing American jets with a single shot from their cannons. After the war, almost no one used anything smaller then a 50 and even then, many opted to cannons.

The Mustangs were definitely the best escort fighter of WW2. They outclassed the 109s above 21,000ft or so in almost every way, below that the 109 was going to have the advantage in most metrics

signs i will agree with best ESCORT FIGHTER with the altitude they fought at and ranges they fly, very much one of the best for the American side. but i will say, it still was not the best in the war, it was the optimal fighter for America just as the Sherman was the optimal tank for America or evem debatably the japanese chi-ha and other light tanks were the optimal tanks for them

Colin .K Yeah in terms of interceptor I would give it to the Spitfire Mk XIV, F8F Bearcat or Yak 3 with the VK-107. Now if we're talking aircraft to see combat and not just be available, the Spitfire probably wins

@@BrokenAngelWings No way, the G series is varied perhaps some of the last, but in terms of the mass of G, they were not even close to the P51D, we talking 50 km/h sloewr. The K could only keep the speed for a short while anyway. Over a long distance the P-51 D was still king in terms of speed.

@@alastair9446 Nope. At higher altidude were the K-4's more effective and faster than the Mustangs. Also the G's could keep up with the Mustangs with the mentioned C3 fuel...

It is a pretty plane, no doubt. Very elegant. The Spitfire as well, though i like the more predatory looking 109s better.
