Keep in mind Jordan was a GREAT passer. He had more assists than Magic in the 1991 Finals. Of course, he could play defense, too…..

Lebron's a better passer--and I'm in the Jordan camp.

Okay? Lebron is still a much better passer….

With the exception of perhaps defense, Lebron has a better all-around game than MJ.

It’s interesting that the interviewer actually thinks MJ had no or very little interest in his own children and community. I thought these guys are supposed to do research before making a statement.

Look at the highlights shown here....Jordan has guys hanging off of him in a league full of 7 foot monsters blocking the paint, hand-checking, double-teams, no floor spacing, and 90 point games. Now watch the Lebron highlights here. No one on him. Casually throwing up a jumper, beating one guy to the basket where no one is contesting him and he's one of the bigger guys on the floor. And they score 130 per night now and the floor spacing is that you beat one guy and it's a layup or dunk. It's really a silly comparison. Lebron is great, but to be honest, anyone that saw Jordan's career at the time understands that this is a media hype thing. There is no comparison...the eye test alone tells you. Lebron has played for 100 years and that a testament to his commitment and such, but he's not greater than Kobe, Wilt, Kareem, Bird or Magic in my opinion, much less Michael Jordan. The NBA needs him to be, but anyone that saw Jordan play live knows what this is.

I agree he isn't greater than Jordan. Totally disagree about Bird, Magic, Kobe and Wilt being better. They have no argument over LeBron what so ever.

@@TyroneNBAFan I think those guys were greater. You might argue that, say, Magic wasn’t better because maybe he wasn’t as athletic or such. Maybe. But he’s certainly greater. Bird and Magic were men’s men. There was no coddling…no joining competitors, no excuses, no whining…just results. That’s it. No bs. Lebron is a bit of a coddled child in his mentality. He didn’t overcome…he escaped. That’s not greatness. I give Kobe the nod because he never left his team, even when it was tough and won two more championships without Shaq…and ge was a throwback…no excuses, no coddling, just get the damn job done. If you want to be considered great then do it. Don’t join forces with guys that are your competitors. That isn’t greatness. Wilt…if his mammoth achievements aren’t enough to convince you…go watch some wilt videos and commentators….astounding.

@@TyroneNBAFan Yikes. You don't know much at all about Bird or Johnson to think that James is better than either one of them. Their basketball IQ and leadership skills were off the charts. And who are you to speak on Chamberlain? You didn't watch him play. All you've got is, maybe, the 3% of highlights that currently exist of his entire career. Blocks and Steals weren't even officially recorded until _after_ he retired, too. James has played in a considerably weaker era that has catered to the offensive side of the ball. On top of that, he's a serial flopper and prone to turnovers/poor decisions.

@@Donjasoni Earvin Johnson was plenty athletic. Do not let the meatheads fool you. It's an idiotic mindset that is wholly ignorant of the fact that many, many, many players of past eras were very athletic. They were also less selfish which amounted to better team play. Don't forget their limitations, either. They couldn't palm and carry the ball (at all, if you go far back enough) to the extent we've seen guys do for decades now. Athletic prowess is not the end all be all for basketball success. My experience has shown me that most of the people on RU-vid who argue in favor of LeBron's greatness are not historians of the game. They are uneducated, simple-minded people who have done little to no research. Thus, their opinions count for nothing.

I don't know why Bob Uecker hasn't done talkshows in a while, he would be a great guest. I don't know if he's done one since Johnny Carson
