We are so very fortunate that Mr. Penske was willing to take on the challenge of the Speedway. It's great to have someone in charge who understands and cares about the facility, the race, and the series. That had been lacking for the last several years, and had been declining, really since Tony Hulman passed. Thank you Mr. Penske.

I cannot think of a single person I'd rather have run the speedway, than Roger Penske. It'll be a sad day in racing, hopefully many years down the road, when he is gone.

I went to the indy track in sept 2021 for the scca National championship race for 9 days as a mechanic for a race team I was in ahhh the whole time there What a race track the track itself i wish i had that asphalt in my house Those screens everywhere are great the people working there were not only proud to be working there they were courteous and informative the homes and businesses all around the track The only negative i can come up with was the museum wanted $100 to go down into the basement

Kinda chuckled when he said 134,000 tickets were sold in 2021. Seemed like there was 190,000 and loved it.

Would love to know ...1) did he get all the car inventory w/ track purchase? 2) does he feel he needs to compete with formula 1 and that's why he's aiming for more technology in Indy cars? 3) which is contrary to " keep it simple" to spur more 1 race teams.

I love The Captain! When the news hit that "Penske OWNS the Speedway!", I said to myself "Re-do the restrooms, Mr. Penske!" And he did! Mr. Penske has his finger on the pulse, and there is no better man to lead IMS into the future.
