I don’t understand how anyone could be upset with her keeping her married last name. Her life is totally different since being married and having children, that’s her name now.

Society may have put her in a specific category because of who she was married too, but the fact that she has worked tirelessly to break through those challenges, speaks volumes about the woman she is. Many woman CHOOSE to stay the bitter EX by putting their feelings before the children. She is a better person because of this 🙌🏽🙌🏽

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!! INSIDE AND OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Granted I don't know her but that's my impression. Also, why is it wrong for her to keep her last name. If Kevin WERE NOT FAMOUS, WE WOULDN'T CARE. So WHY CARE NOW? She built a FAMILY with this man and was married to him for YEARS. She should keep it if she wants to. Also, yes children and schools and different last names is a 'thing'.

Idk about using the kids' names at school as an example. I had a different last name when my mom got married to my stepdad when I was 1. It didn’t bother me that I had a different last name. I was being taken care of and loved properly so the name didn’t matter. So I don’t think the kids care as long as there is stability, understanding, love, and peace in the home, I doubt they’d care about the last name. I feel you hang on to the last name because a part of you can’t let go of what once was. However, she does look amazing, and glad she found healing ❤️

The last name difference is ok for some but most kids whether they admit it does bother them because they are asked by their peers or others …WHY is your last name different ? Is that your birth parent ? Effects people differently, others brush it off.

I'm all for her keeping the Hart name but personally, as the new wife I feel like I'd feel like I'm sharing my husband. Unless we got along then maybe I wouldn't mind so much 🤷🏾‍♀️ but I'm so biased coz I love Torrei so I 100% think yes keep the name. But realistically if I was the new wife I might not like that. 🙈 EDIT..! Guys, I am not talking about the Harts specifically. I'm talking about any new wife in the position where the ex kept the surname. If I was talking about Eniko I'd have just said Eniko not the new wife.

I would’ve been happier if, in regard to her changing her last name, had she said “cause I married Hart”, that’s all that’s it! Lol do ppl generally change their last names back after divorce??? I don’t know anyone that has done that. It is what it is……

I don’t know about the name thing in America but I am African and Muslim in both my cultures and religion the women always keep their own last name even after marriage. And if you have the children always carry the father’s name . Even after divorce they keep their father last name . But I find it very weird to keep a man last name specifically after divorce but hey I don’t know other people culture if she want it that way good for her . I have a question tho what if she marry another man how he going to feel about it ?

Good questions . If she would to marry would have to be super confident man. Her name has been her working brand too for several years so most women who use their name in careers where it’s featured nationally usually keep same name even if they marry . Some hyphen and add a name so their base name is still visible. It’s tricky for women who marry someone who is or becomes super successful because normally they won’t marry again on that status or higher again especially when your ex is a superstar. Praying more of our families decide to work on doing what it takes to stay together . 🙏🏽

Exactly my muslim sister, i believe no tradition or religion demand you to change to your husband's last name, unless you're having a weeding, then you go to the court and sign to his last name or hyphenate it .......(that's is a human creation) so they can tell you how to run your weath and family in terms of moment like this #DIVORCE.... I really don't see myself ever loosing my father's name for no damn body.... Regardless periodtt.

me too...I'm from Kenya where traditional marriages are more common than legal ones so taking your husband's name is only done by a few women. So i'm confused why a woman would keep an ex's name just bcz they've children together. the children have their dad's surname. and they know you two are divorced

Actually many divorced women with children keep their married last name. Believe it or not it does make it hard on the kids to have to explain why their Mom has a different last name. Not to mention, keeping the same last name gives the children a sense of unity even though the parents are divorced.

I'll know she's really healed when she can have an interview that doesn't mention 'HIS' name. And she stops selling herself short with a "friendship" with an EX. He was and is no friend and she's not really healed. She says his name and talks about their dynamic all the time. I know it's part of her life but she's got so much other stuff to talk about in her life that there is no need to mention him. An until she can stop I'm not convinced she's over him. From the abundance of the HART the mouth speaks. I want her to purge that man out of her heart, soul, and mind. She can still keep the last name and trash everything else about him.
