Today's full journey Brings you to East London BUS 497.
Sadly on 9 th March 2024 is set to get withdrawn completely & replaced by bus 346 which will get extended from Upminster to Harold Hill Dagenham Park Square.I would be honest couple years back I actually didn't know 497 existed and also in Romford area ironically the buses are right next to each other 496,497,498,499 but now 497 gets eliminated which won't have unique 4 numbers next to each other.
I feel that TfL is desperate to abolish this bus and only felt like extending another bus maybe because it was cost effective or wise but with 497 it was short and had 30 minutes FREQUENCY which is understandable but will be missed.Quite like the mmcs and well looked after from Romford (NS).
The routing is pretty cool I would say definitely useful for the residents of Havering definitely has useful linkup to Harold Wood Station Elizabeth line and for schools & rate the bus 10/10 nice quick ride only 20 minutes and nice hail & Rides sections.

*The 3 stops that's been cut out on 174 video has now been covered to Dagenham Park Square on 497.
