GREAT TRAINING SESSION!! These are great fundamental striking skills that directly translate into bladed weapons, and combined with footwork, these alone can be used as a very effective defense. To those beginners: And this is just scratching the surface of what Kali is as a VERY effective martial art.
Love the sound of rattan sticks whipping through the air...They are such a fast weapon!!... Would be a nightmare for an opponent to face....( " Goodbye knife......hello knockout..!"....)
Kali The Goddess os Death for Indians... Just kidding... I think i Saw Kali for The First time in Rambo III, stick fighting scene... Here in Brasil we have "maculelê", a kind branch of capoeira that uses facões, (machetes) good to know you, greetings from Brasil.
This is really good. I take Kali at the gym where I train Krav Maga, wrestling, and boxing. Unfortunately, they only offer one, one hour class of Pekiti Tirsia Kali. I love it! It is my favorite class! So after watching this video I went over and bought the $25 class. This trainer is the closest I have come to finding the way my teacher teaches. I am a slow poke in getting the moves but once I get them they are mine. :-) Thanks for all the work you put into this.
