My dad died 8 years after returning from a 2 year stint in Vietnam. Died in a VA hospital and my mother nor him received anything. Pact Act came out and a great VSO is working to making it right.

This was the best explanation of the PACT ACT and some of the most obvious symptoms lists explained that I have seen on RU-vid so far. I filed an Intent to File in March last year got service connected in January this year with 0% compensation but the connection is allowing me to file secondary claims for a lot more problems I’m facing since OIF II. I thought I had lost opportunity to file because my service medical records were lost since 2004 deployment but my battle buddy found it in 2013 and gave it to me. Having retired from the service in 2010. I thank the veterans that paved the way for the PACT ACT, their sacrifice helped many many more veterans to get care and compensation for their service in time of conflict.

Excuse me madame but those cancer conditions you mentioned for the Pact Act has alot to do with lung cancer or respiratory. I am a 💯% T &P service connection disabled navy veteran for CML bone marrow cancer but it is leukemia cancer. I applied for the Pact Act for two years and on my last claim in May of 2023 I applied for Non-Hodgkins lymphoma (NHL). I was denied because my evidence was not new or relevant. The reason I chose NHL was it dealt with CML bone marrow cancer which I have. I already mentioned to the VA that I was exposed to toxics as a Radioman (RM3), and with burning classified material in a burn room for seven years as well as being in Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War. I'm scheduled for my next hematology appointment on April 16 2024 and will have my oncologist to write a nexus for a link between my service connection and the in-service disease. This is my only option for the Pact Act especially since I was exposed to toxics. Hopefully it will be granted. I doubt that the VA will ever decide to add leukemia to their list of cancer conditions anytime soon.

I was diagnosed with CLL, (Chronic Lymphomic Leukemia) a Lymphomic Blood Cancer, with a presumptive condition, 7 years after serving In Iraq. I submitted a va claim but was told that was not on the list, so I and am refiling under secondary conditions along with Hypertension in a Nexus Letter. Currently I am 64 yrs. Of age and at a 90% VA Disability rating. Have to wait and see what the results will be.

Asthma diagnosed after service is on the list of presumptives also. I was diagnosed with asthma over a year ago was in Afghanistan in 2012-2013 with toxic exposure. Filed a claim after seeing private care being a pulmonologist. Was diagnosed and prescribe three different inhalers. Brought all of my medications and doctors visit notes to my C&P exam and was still denied

I am in a uniques position. I worked for CIA while in combat zones for nearly 4 years. I am a Reservist too that devoted 26 years. I did Reserve obligation weekend obligations in the combat zones for like the first 18 months. I was around burn pits and exposed to rafio active material. Any chance to file under Pact Act and get approved? I did file. But did not know if I wasted my time. I have 37 medical issues.

I applied for the VA health benefits based on service in Bahrain and Kuwait from during my enlistment from 1997 to 1999. I received the benefit. Let's say I have or develop one of the presumptive conditions you mentioned. If I file a claim for it, do I have to establish that I knew there was a burn pit near me or is that already presumed? I never worked on a pit directly. I am aware of metal drums that they burned items in, but I assumed that the items burned were paper. Would these qualify as burn pits? With that said, I cannot say there were not other burning sites or pits near me, since I was not aware of everything occurring near me.

The VA assumes that there are certain conditions linked to the unique circumstances of a veteran’s military service. If you’re diagnosed with a presumptive condition, you do not need to prove the medical nexus (connection) between your condition and your service to be eligible for VA compensation. Veterans who served after Aug. 2, 1990 in any of these locations: Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, UAE, or the airspace above any of these locations are eligible for presumptive VA benefits.

I was stationed in Camp Schwab Okinawa in 1991 and 1992. Ammo dumps have burn pits to dispose of various ordnance and trash. At the time i was an E-3 and guess who gets stuck with trash burn duties. Also, agent orange was used for weed control, and sprayed around our barracks weekly. We also worked regularly inside the ammo magazine storage bunkers where agent orange was stored. My question is will this ever be a part of the pact act? Its not listed yet and i have asthma and hypertension with diagnosis and prescriptions. How can i link it?

@woodslawyers
@woodslawyers 2 месяца назад
VA math is confusing. We provide this free VA disability rating calculator to help you estimate your combined VA rating. In VA math, 80% disability plus another 20% disability doesn’t add up to a 100% rating. We use all of the current ratings and update the calculator regularly. You don’t need a VA disability math chart with our handy calculator. These rates are effective from December 1, 2023 to November 30, 2024, so while the law was passed in 2023, these are considered the 2024 VA disability rates. www.woodslawyers.com/va-disability-benefits-rating-calculator-for-veterans/?.com&BurnPitPresumptivesLori&CommentShare

So it doesn't cover the "20th century?" Does this cover Kazakhstan and would it be possible to reimburse a veteran, who didn't know about or how to use the VA after service, for their own costs and lost civilian work dollars? This is all before digitization and internet really took off. I learned the paperwork was lost in fire at a facility at one point, so a person does not exist in that paperwork area. Add in the rural civilian hospital that closed, moved records, then burned those elsewhere.

And Bosnia Herzegovina was taken of the pact where it was the burn pit registry, I was assigned to camp bedrock and camp pebbles was trash chemical etc after Bosnia I was diagnosed with chronic sinusatis and bronchtis had to have rhino plastic surgery to correct the left side nasal cavity it was that bad so this is a injustice to veterans that it is not on the pact.if you remember right haliburton was being sued by the veterans but haliburton was protected by the military contract so with in mind the VA.is again cheating veterans that had to endure this and did win the case against because I believe who ever wrote the report pencil wiped it meaning false report. Why are veterans suffering because of this injustice may be the supreme Court could do something because has yet again proven they are not for the veterans peruod

This video only covers what the PACT Act added for burn pit exposed veterans. However, the Act included updates for other toxic-exposed veterans too. Agent Orange exposed veterans with hypertension (high blood pressure) or monoclonal gammopathies can now be service connected on a presumptive basis. The PACT Act has also expanded eligibility for VA disability benefits related to Agent Orange to military members who served in additional locations. Here’s some additional information about that: www.woodslawyers.com/2022-pact-act-for-veterans/?.com&Underwood+PACT+Act+Burn+Pits
